  1. Cheers Edwards and Bassman Boardman looks pretty sweet. Thanks RB, great list to get me thinking, the Ragley looks like a good bit of kit but not sure I can get on with that colour, have you heard of the sonder transmitter? I plan so start of slow and work my way up so thinking ahead with the odd day out with the family. The route to work is a mixture of tarmac (2 miles), grass/mud and rooty/rocky stuff (3 miles) I'm 6'2 16st but hope to drop some weight riding to work and out most nights with the dogs, so yeah I warm up quick
  2. Thanks RB, I plan to buy it through work so have to stick to new but it will be handled by myself and not through a third party so can buy from any shop as long as I get an invoice. Calibre Bossnut is on sale at £899 but I'd prefer to go for a hardtail like you said, if it means getting a better bike. After looking at things again my budget is 1k but I need to get as much kit included. If you could list the top ten things you always have on you on a ride out, what would they be?
  3. Hi Guys, As the title says, can anyone recommend me a decent trail bike under £1000. I use to do a lot of biking about 10 years ago on my old claudbutler but things seems to have moved on since then and I'm not sure wear to start. Thanks
  4. Hi, Just booked in for my first service at RRG Rochdale, as its over 30 mile from my house was wondering what the average waiting time is for a minor service. cheers
  5. Gonna call my local dealer tomorrow and see what their price is, called today but they're closed
  6. Gonna call my local dealer tomorrow to see if they can get me one in
  7. Not sure but PCP is 2.9% at the moment, so this is a better option to the 3% bank loan. No doubt Skoda will bring back the 0% PCP at the end of the year.
  8. Ah ok, so whats the difference between HP to PCP in %
  9. Isn't HP buying the car the same as PCP so the residual will be the same. If you want to buy the car why not go PCP. I went with PCP with the mindset to keep the car for 8-10 years but I have the option to give it back after 3 years if my plans change. PCP is also 0% so its free money for 3 years.
  10. What will she be using it for? I would highly recommend a chromebook.
  11. Yes easily, with bags of room to spare, you could get 3 labs in my boot, you could probably get 3 of me in my boot
  12. I have a hatch and a lab, my boot swallows him up. Some days I do wish I has an estate as I remove the parcel shelve when I take him out in my car but I preferred the look of the hatch as well. He mostly goes out in my wife car (qashqui) and that's a smaller boot.
  13. I use something similar to this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Seat-Protector-Drive-Auto-Products/dp/B016U3VLOO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1490121762&sr=8-3&keywords=car+seat+protector
  14. Sabine is amazing, never forget when she drove the transit van. I like the 2 other guys but I just can't get on with Matt, feels like he's acing all the time, Topgear is british and should, IMO be hosted by a brit.
  15. My GSD had the same problem as a pup, I didn't change anything, just kept taking him out in the boot and eventually he got use to it. Completely different to my lab who did a 4 hour road trip when I first picked him up and he's never had a problem.
  16. I hope the place stays the same, got my service next month
  17. Nothing to worry about, just mean the stop/start is not kicking in for a number of reasons. I get this symbol everyday, normally on the drive to work as the car is still cold and I have my heated seats on at this time of year.
  18. Its impossible to start the engine without depressing the clutch in the Octavia with kessy. I remember reading that the diesel only starts when the plugs are ready and hot and your foots down on the clutch. If you just press the button without the clutch, yes the ignition should come on.
  19. Just watched it, the accident looked just that, an accident and Matt looked ****ed lol much better this time round
