  1. For the option, it really depends in your trunk handle size and plug. Measure the handle to determine the option. For the plug, you have to remove the boot trim to check. I installed mine about 3 or 4 months ago and it is still working fine. The trunk opener feels as good as the stock one. When I had my android head unit, my camera was set to ahd and the picture was juste wonderful. I then installed a mib2 unit and had to set it to cvbs, the picture is not that good. It is ok but compared to the ahd it is like going from a 4k monitor to a CRT screen. If you have the 11cm handle, go with the OEM camera € 88,75 5%OFF | FOR Skoda Octavia MK3 III Superb 3V B8 Rear View Trunk handle Camera with Highline Guidance Line Wiring harness 3V0 827 566 N https://a.aliexpress.com/_EGkhTrF More expensive but good picture. If you have the 9cm like me then you are stuck with after market
  2. You loose the turn by turn function. All the rest is retained, which is a good thing as the diag didn't work on my unit but I could access it from the small screen.
  3. Reverse cameras work on any model, Il have a 2014 and fitted one. The one you are looking at auto codes the infotainement system. If it fails to do so, then you can use a vcds adaptor to code the camera in. I personnaly went with this one https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32570611045.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.46f61802I5QRBH and coded it. You have to choose the right handle and plug type. If I had to do it again, I would not go wih an rca connector on the cable but the small purple one as the RCA is a pitta to get trought the rubber gromet on the trunk. I ended utp cutting it and re soldered it when I finissed passing the cable.
  4. It is the reverse camera. I can't have genuine camera as my car has the small trunk Switch. Genuine are only in the big switches.
  5. Hello, so I went From an Android head unit to a Amundsen mib2. The camera is a 720p On the Android head unit, it was configured in ahd and the picture was perfect. On the mib2 I had to revert to cvbs and the picture quality is horrible. The mib2 being 480p, I was wondering if it was struggling with downsampling. Should I switch the camera for a 480p? Thanks
  6. Shure I would happily go for that option but it is only compatible with the big boot handle. Unfortunately I have the small handle. I posted the camera I fitted one or 2 posts earlier. In then changed bit 4 of byte 19 to enable reverse camera low. Greeny has a highline camera that does not auto code. It may be also a solution
  7. Ok understood, in thing I will go with a high line Chinese as I have the small handle and the camera I have hase ripples and waves. The power comes from the rear wiper where I also have the transformer for the dash cam. It must be giving dirty power to the camera. Everything is clear now, thanks
  8. This is the one I have option D € 22,76 30%OFF | GreenYi 170 Degree 1920x1080P Vehicle Rear View Camera for Skoda Roomster Fabia Octavia Yeti Rapid superb for Audi A1 A4L A3 Car https://a.aliexpress.com/_EwAKHBN
  9. Unfortunately I have the small boot handle. The camera I have is this one option D. I had an Android head unit so it was running in ahd and was ok. Now that I fitted an mib2 as reverted to analog, I have waves..... Power is delivered by the 12 back wiper. I guess I will have to go with the 3rd link you provided. So the option E of the third link will allow all the coding you made to get all the options?
  10. Then what camera should I use? The same as the one I the op of the topping you posted your codes?
  11. I will try your coding tomorrow
  12. Yes it is aftermarket, I cut the wire for the lines as I saw in videos that the system provides dynamic lines
  13. Hello, I have installed my reverse camera and coded the reverse camera low in 5F. I now have the picture but no guide lines? Am I missing something? I searched and came on this post. Should I code all of this? https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/485897-how-to-reverse-camera-fitting-guide/?do=findComment&comment=5456364
  14. Yes, you have to extract the map of your unit with vcds, send it to him and he will take care of everything. I am super happy with what he did for me
  15. The factory reset will delete Tlink, dab+ app, Tpms.. every thing that is not stock Android. Ebilaen will not be cooperativ to send you a new version. I have a backup in case. This being said, it is not that good ok theses units, the poor microphone quality makes the unit not understand everything you say plus if you have music running, it will cut the music only something like 10 seconds when you are dictating a message.... So basically the music comes back on and ruins your messages.
  16. Talk to Pab, he is the guy. He just fixed me up with an mib2 Amundsen, glove box unit, screen and usb port for Android auto and apple carplay. I sent him a map file of my unit and he taylored it for my car (vrs logo...) Parts number are 5Q0035874C 5E0919605M 5Q0035726J You will also have to shave of foolproof on the usb and displays sockets but nothing hard, it's a 2mn job
  17. Yes I hade the same issue but never found a way around. My guess would be to put the stock unit back and set individual as you like. You don't have to put the harness back in the glove box. Juste remove the Android unit and connect everything from the front.
  18. Pin for factory reset should be 7890 did you try this one? You can also reset from the Android settings. Backup your android auto app first
  19. At times, factory reset is the answer... have you updated the unit and the MCU?
  20. I totally agree, the speedo will be off and the tyres may not fit under the arch..;
  21. I don't think that the dealer can legally sell a retuned car. It more than obvious that they reset the ECU to stock but the only way is to dyno the car.
  22. Hello, I have cracked the left door interior seal of my 2014 combi. Does any one know the part number? Thanks
  23. Hello all, so I think I have finally found the solution for the horrible phone call quality. First I unsoldered the inbuilt mic as it never shuts off. I then got a powered noise cancelling mic that has an inbuilt battery and usb port for charging. Tha SYNCO Lav-S6M2 https://amzn.eu/d/0mzfpg6 I hooked the usb port to the spare port behind the unit so that it will be powered permenantely. I placed the mic in the sun visor and tried phone calls in my Garage. The voice is loud and clear as with the stock microphone. It is light years away from the cheap no powered mics. The noise cancelling seems to work like a charm as when I left myself a voice mail, I turned the engine on with the windows open, on the message I could hear the engin start, rev for a second then the mic blocked it out. Tomorrow the car is going for servicing, so I will try the sound when driving but this setup seems to be as good if not better than the stock mic (at least in my garage) I also left it on to drain the battery and confirm that it can run on usb with a flat battery.
  24. On my side I went with carlauncher pro. Paid the fee and it is very good
