  1. Same for me. Eagle 's are the best and also rather cheap
  2. Check with @pab567 Give him your vin number, he will help you and sell you what you need. He may be able to reflash your unit. I upgraded my mib1 to mib2 with his help
  3. The screen isn't the issue, it is just a screen. As marky said, the glovbox unit is the brain and has to be taiyored to your car.
  4. If it is the firware, you have it laying on this forum as well sas the procedure. If it is the units, then you have to check with pab. He is the guru here
  5. This us a risky road that I already went. If you really want to go that route, get your unit from ebilaen. And don't go under the 4gigs ram model. Their units will show the drive mode. But beware, call qualitiy is really crappy.and these units don't understand s...t when you want to use vocal commands on android auto. They beep as to register your command but just don't understand a word so basically Android auto is useless. There is a huge post on the forum on these units.
  6. You should go through @pab567 He will Taylor the unit perfectly for your car. He made the same setup for me
  7. Well if you don't have a vcds cable you can't do it Pas is the guru if head units here. @pab567 can you help @BDDK?
  8. Send pab a vcds extract. He will tell you if you have Bluetooth
  9. I don't think mib 2.5 is worth it. Went from Amundsen (old one) to mib2 with the 8 inch screen. No regrets at all.
  10. This is a mission for @pab567 He tell you all you need to know
  11. It seems your firmware is preety much busted. Try reflashing the unit
  12. I have been using the rear wiper fuse for a about 5 years and no issues at all
  13. I guess the alpin unit will work but it is as slow as hell...
  14. Sure but at least you keep all your car functions and setting capabilities. As I said, going to an android unit, you can forget about phone calls. If you don't mind, then set your car as you like before putting the unit in. You can also benefit from the car stock GPS antenna and dab antenna. I suggest you go through this topic where I was quite active before going for an mib2. After the amazement of the first start, the desillusion started. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/491284-android-10-stereo-Β£162-aliexpress-gamble-results/#comment-5517865
  15. O. Went that route before upgrading to MIB 2. didn't have fault codes thought but the unit can't control any of the car options even if you lets you believe that you can access them. I had a low oil warning on my dash and the unit never saw it. I took the option if upgrading to MIB2 and use Android auto or an android AI box.
  16. There is a huuuuuggeee post on the Android head units. Basically they run ok but will give you a headake and forget phone calls. None of them have decent mics Android auto does not understand you when you speak. Therefore, it is useless as you can directly install all your apps on the unit
  17. Give @pab567your vin number. He will give you the options the car originally had
  18. Hell yeah, the trunk is huge. My wife and kid can pack that extra luggage load for a we πŸ˜‚ equivalents to all your animals at once πŸ˜„ Keep doing what you do, there are not enough People who care about animals
  19. 1 no, it works fine on mine 2 this dΓ©pends on your phone, my Galaxy s23 doesn't ask 3 mine had this issue with a cheapo AliExpress cable. I switched to the Samsung cable and every thing is ok since
  20. Have you tried Remus or fox ? Edit : i just checked, nothing for the tdi
  21. I don't think your unit can have android auto. You would need to retrofit a newer one
