  3. Send pab a vcds extract. He will tell you if you have Bluetooth
  4. I don't think mib 2.5 is worth it. Went from Amundsen (old one) to mib2 with the 8 inch screen. No regrets at all.
  5. This is a mission for @pab567 He tell you all you need to know
  6. It seems your firmware is preety much busted. Try reflashing the unit
  7. I have been using the rear wiper fuse for a about 5 years and no issues at all
  8. I guess the alpin unit will work but it is as slow as hell...
  9. Sure but at least you keep all your car functions and setting capabilities. As I said, going to an android unit, you can forget about phone calls. If you don't mind, then set your car as you like before putting the unit in. You can also benefit from the car stock GPS antenna and dab antenna. I suggest you go through this topic where I was quite active before going for an mib2. After the amazement of the first start, the desillusion started. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/491284-android-10-stereo-£162-aliexpress-gamble-results/#comment-5517865
  10. O. Went that route before upgrading to MIB 2. didn't have fault codes thought but the unit can't control any of the car options even if you lets you believe that you can access them. I had a low oil warning on my dash and the unit never saw it. I took the option if upgrading to MIB2 and use Android auto or an android AI box.
  11. There is a huuuuuggeee post on the Android head units. Basically they run ok but will give you a headake and forget phone calls. None of them have decent mics Android auto does not understand you when you speak. Therefore, it is useless as you can directly install all your apps on the unit
  12. Give @pab567your vin number. He will give you the options the car originally had
  13. Hell yeah, the trunk is huge. My wife and kid can pack that extra luggage load for a we 😂 equivalents to all your animals at once 😄 Keep doing what you do, there are not enough People who care about animals
  14. 1 no, it works fine on mine 2 this dépends on your phone, my Galaxy s23 doesn't ask 3 mine had this issue with a cheapo AliExpress cable. I switched to the Samsung cable and every thing is ok since
  15. Have you tried Remus or fox ? Edit : i just checked, nothing for the tdi
  16. I don't think your unit can have android auto. You would need to retrofit a newer one
  17. Is it braking or is it loosing power?
  18. did you change you usb port for the one that supports android auto, carplay and smartlink? the bes advice will be from @pab567
  19. Yes shave of the connector and it will work. Did it on my 2014 The connections are the same, they just changed the shape of the pool plug
  20. no satnav means you will have to add an antenna if you go for a MIB2 Upgrade. Maybe PAB has one. Android head units are nice but can get you a headache to be set right. If you don't care about call quality and don't mind loosing a few features, android head units are the way to go. If not, go with an MIB2 upgrade, swap the usb port for the one that allows android auto and carplay, add your gps antenna and you are good to go
  21. Yes the remote must have a button for just the boot. If you have keyless system then pressing the boot handle will unlock only the boot
  22. 11 cm is the big handle, go for the stock camera, best picture quality and options.
  23. In France, under 250 euros, you are good to do if you don't choose dhl, ups and co. Juste normal post office. If you go for Express delivery then yes, customs and vat will have to be paid. I got my camera through Standard shipping and didn't pay any Extra
  24. Iy you have the small handle, you need yo measure the plug and you will need to build a clamp to hold yue AliExpress handle. If you have the bog handle then you ar good to go but go for the stock Octavia camera on AliExpress, it will have all the options
