  1. Drive carefully or you'll have me coming to cut you out
  2. It can't be that bad if they've given it 10/10: "Road Team Carbon 09 10/10 "Our winner, though, is the Boardman Team Carbon. This is one high class rig. Exceptionally light and incredibly quick, it performs like a bike costing hundreds of pounds more." "We've no qualms in saying it sets a new standard for sub-£1000 road bikes." Source: Cycling Plus." Reputable Mag. Also found a quote: "fact of the matter is though, the reason why boardmans are so much cheaper is because of the supply chain through which the product goes to get to the point of sale, bikes are generally built to small numbers, or to order. Without the use of a distributor which is why prices in many LBS are high, because they have the markups of components, manufacturers then distributors to compete with. continually cranking up the price. A company needn't be profitable to reason with it staying in business, if it has the cashflow, to continue trading it may be an arguement to continue and stay open. i remember reading somewhere that out of all bikes sold last year 2/3 of them came from halfords, as sad a statistic that is. The reason is because they have a route to market, unlike any local bike shop" Thats not mates of mates, thats people that own them and test bikes for a living. Anyhoo, back to the thread, Get on the bike scheme!
  3. I've done it through work. Ordered the Boardman team carbon rrp £999 as its had great reviews. After tax its £46 a month i think, £70 something before tax for 12 months and i think its around £30 at the end to buy it according to the lads who did it last year. Half price bike, definitely worth being part of .
  4. Hmmm, wish i had the money . Anyone want to buy a used pikey witson mfd???
  5. Thats good going, 6 months in mine needed a new rear wiper motor and the interior sensor for the alam needed changing. Both done under waranty. Other than that its been good touch wood;)
  6. Yeah i got the same email. Bit far for me to travel at the moment and too phooking expensive for now :rotz:
  7. Lucky Fu(£er, bet it was quality.
  8. Excellent Pic's. The same company bring 2 harris hawks to our plant to get rid of the pidgeon's. They soon have the pidgeons scattering in all directions trying to get away.
  9. My favourite jet the lightning, vulcan is a close second. I was 8 at the last Binbrook airshow, i can just about remember the 9 ship, lots of them coming from all different angles while some were taking off and being p!ss wet through. Yes see you there, i'll be sat on the fence round the landing lights.
  10. Its a great little circuit, i live 5mile away, would have popped over if i'd known. Good circuit for the superbikes, not much car racing there though because the tracks not very wide.
  11. Was just getting there on friday morning 2008 when the B52 flew right over the top of the car, now that WAS phooking loud!! It didn't do the display though, something about a row over who was paying for the fuel unless anyone knows any different? A couple of lads and myself get the friday off every year to go down there. Booked it off this year already, see you down there:thumbup: look out for the blue octy L333 ***
  12. :iagree: someone needs to photoshop that so we can all drool.
  13. Thats a good place to sit on the thursday and friday before the airshow.
  14. Looks like an MFD in there too. But i'm with the others, alloys and steering wheel are gash IMO.
  15. Anyone else getting them? I'm on the Lincolnshire coast and these snowflakes must be 3 or 4 inches in diameter . Everyones just stood outside looking and saying we'e never seen them that big before. Just thought i'd share it...
  16. We've had a fisher price one but it keeps picking up faint talking (radio or analogue phone??) and gets the 'text noise' coming through off mobile phones. But the Mrs isn't that bothered with them now, she soon lets us know when there's a code brown!
  17. Yes i noticed this, also i'm sure my fabia vRS used to tell me when the washer bottle was empty. Now it's my wife who say's "oh yeah, i meant to tell you we'd run out of water when i had it yesterday" . There was a little lit icon on the fabia dash and an alarm, is there meant to be one on the Octy?
  18. Cracking car mate. Just put a vRS badge where the skoda badge is on the boot lid. I did it on my old Fabia, cheap to do so save's a few quid for the other mods:thumbup:
  19. No, he's not a rabbit just a baggy faced tw@.
  20. As far as i know they are only available for left hand side of the radio. I used to have one on my old Fabia.
  21. I had tints on my old vectra and now got oe's for the Octy. Think i prefer oe's for the same reasons as above. I caught the tint on my rear window when i had my parcel shelf off and it looked sh!t after that.
  22. Both nice car's and mint, i'd love a sierra rs500. Sadly i've got to spend just under 5k on a kitchen :bigcry: just to keep the wench happy. Still half of the kitchen will belong to me when i end up in the same situation as the rover sd1 driver who's selling
  23. In whoosh's 4th picture in the initial post you can see he's folding the rubber back that covers the seam. The clip has been slid onto that seam and the rubber covers all but the nobbley bit. Three of these clips together hold the shade in place. No glue or screw's required. Palm one's are only slightly cheaper: £60.83 + £8.50 shipping + £10.40 VAT = total £79.73
  24. Forgot to leave the glowplug light to go out on one start which sounded a bit rough. Other than that sound as a pound.
