  1. If your email was "scathing" and full of anger it's unlikely you'll get a response. If you sent it to CS it most probably went straight into the recycle bin anyway. Saying the right things to the right people can occasionally result in a positive outcome. A letter needs to be polite, factual, and remark on positive aspects of the company and the products it sells. Threats are an instant turn off in most circumstances, the mention of solutions, goodwill, maintaining the respect the brand has earned are all positives. I've still to receive my email, when I do get it, I too shall write, the odds are against a favourable outcome but I'll give it my best shot. As I'm still none the wiser who is at fault this will go to the directors of NCD and [email protected] their new Brand Director. If I can discover who the participating dealer is (was), their MD will get copied in also.
  2. If this is the case (which seems highly probable) where will all these cancelled orders turn up that were ready for imminent collection?
  3. Wise words and you may well be right, finding the truth of the matter is no easy task.
  4. I wonder if anyone was successful in getting the 2016 Superb?
  5. You've stated in an earlier post that you think this is "out of NCD's hands". If this is the case and it's purely down to Skoda putting an embargo on the Superb being discounted by brokers and the like, then I will be surprised if we see Broadspeed and Drivethedeal still offering discounts in the days to come. If they do go forward discounting then it's safe to assume it's a NCD problem. I expect to receive this email in days to come, guess I'll be last on the list only having placed the order last week. I'd be interested to see your email if you'd be prepared to share it via pm.
  6. It is worth noting that NCD and other brokers are still heavily discounting other Skoda models.
  7. Uncle Wang Did your email come from Skoda or NCD?
  8. When did you last look? Their website is currently down, I wonder why?
  9. I'm so sorry to read this, I'm not optimistic but hope a solution with a positive outcome can be achieved. Although nervous about ordering a car "online", all the reviews for NCD that I've read are 100% positive and certainly apon making the order with Nick I felt completely assured, there was no hard sell as far as the car was concerned but I did say that I was nervous about buying this way for the first time, Nick went onto to tell me that NCD is primarily a finance company with a long and excellent pedigree that is comprehensively regulated. It would be interesting to know just how many orders have or will be cancelled.
  10. This is my first post and have to say I'm gutted. I took the plunge and ordered a top of the range Estate just a week ago with NCD, went on there website a short while ago and apon seeing the Superb range removed my concerns quickly brought me to this forum and to read this news. That will teach me to brag to friends and family about the luxury limo I've just purchased with a massive discount without which this purchase couldn't have been made. I've also just looked on the UK car discounts website and if memory serves correct, their price discount was just slightly less. They are now showing zero discount and selling at rrp. I've just retired and am taking a tax free lump sum from my pension to pay for what was going to be my first (and only) brand new car, behaving like an excited child waiting impatiently for the lead time of sixteen weeks to pass quickly. Completely peed off but my sympathies go to those expecting to take delivery any time soon.
