  1. Thank fook !!!!................most annoying car feature EVER!!!
  2. Fabia, Yeti, Octavia Any of them which had DAB to be honest Heres one... https://www.cars-equipment.com/en/shop/roof-antenna-8/oem-6r0035501d-vw-skoda-roof-shark/ Your looking for 4 cables exiting the antenna FM,GSM,GPS,DAB Microphone is just that, so should be possible to do, but easier to replace.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/1019234156
  3. why not just leave the windows down a bit anyway, if you fit wind deflectors all windows can be left down about 2 inches and the car is still pretty secure. On the flip side, if you "need" something to vent for the dog, then sorry to say it was to hot to leave him in there anyway.
  4. I agree, in the brochure I have it was £155, no money, but I suppose it all adds up so you have to decide what you want or a £15000 car quickly becomes £20000 The greenline is listed in the brochure to have optional rear windows, dunno why your dealer said no, but not surprised as most dont know their ass from the head. It's not that big of a job to add them, and with more and more parts becoming used it dont take long to aquire the "kit".
  5. replace loom "imo"....... If not would be heatshrinkable inline crimps. I swapped mine when I did rear elecy window retofit, my original is fine if your interested.
  6. I had a snapped spring after 25,000 miles, car only just had first MOT........ most disappointing.............. Hard to pin point the reason, could be poor spring quality or our wonderful roads in super condition !! 😡
  7. if you have the right tools, the workshop manual for ref then it's just nuts and bolts. If I ever have issues, will def do it myself, could never bring myself to pay for a job like that.
  8. they are totally different looking cars Mk2 mk3
  9. you don't need a feed from a dimmer, and as we dont have one you just need to tap in to any lit switch. I would probably go to PIN 17 of the main light switch its a Grey / Blue wire, well infact it's the same colour for lighting throughout the vehicle on any switch which is backlit. Fuse 26 is rear window wiper, thats an ignition switched feed. Fuse 50 is a permanent 12v supply which feeds the radio, so you could tap from the back of the radio or fuse location.
  10. No swing unit had bluetooth. The Bluetooth module is under the front passenger seat. Move the seat fully forward and up (if it has height adjustment) you may see it, or atleast the bracket that holds it / wiring loom.
  11. somethings missing there!!!.............😉
  12. Remove the 2 side trims, the one on one side has the rear window dimister switch in it, then carefully prize the facia off.
  13. look under the passenger seat, if the factory fitted bluetooth is there (sounds like it is) you should see it. So any RNS 310 / 315 or 510 will work.
  14. Don't know about you guys, but once you have had a vehicle with a self dipping mirror you tend to miss it.......and it's always annoyed me the fabia don't have one, now there is one listed in the parts catolouge and I did think of gettting one of those, however I would not have had the loom in the vehicle, so would have had to purchase that + it most probably is quite expensive.............. If your not aware 99% of oem mirrors are made by Gentex, so bought one of those and a simple 2 wire installation and its all done, looks completely factory, you have to also buy the adpater to fit the VAG screen mirror mount and I wanted to hide the wire so bought the loom cover to.......................very pleased 😁 total about £90 ish... The thing I do like is it has a button to turn itoff if you so desire.
