  1. Theres no grey area.................fitting HID bulbs / kits to vehicles built with Halogen headlamps is illegal for road use. Existing halogen headlamp units should not be converted to be used with HID bulbs. If such a conversion has been done, you must fail the headlamp. Defect Category (a) Headlamp emitted colour, position or intensity not in accordance with the requirements Major (b) Product on the lens or light source which obviously reduces light intensity or changes emitted colour to other than white or yellow Major (c) Light source and lamp not compatible Major (d) Mandatory headlamps, intended to be a matched pair, are not the same shape, size or colour Major
  2. You do also need the DRL's to "dim" when the lights are switched on as well especially when using fogs as they will be to bright as DRL's
  3. Your Vrs has projector headlights They are just facelift ones which are black on the inside.
  4. Throttle valve stuck / jammed.
  5. no issues, just disconnect battery earth lead "BEFORE" touching anything and do NOT reconnect until all back together. If your prepared to pay that, fill it with fuel drive to my house I'll swap it in 20mins for nout.
  6. Might be crazy, I never claimed a figure and failed to produce it, they did.
  7. you just need a small 4-5 inch long flat screwdriver, you turn the wheel 90° each way then insert the screw driver and lever the spring, it does not need much, if you put a small pulling force on the side of the airbag you are attacking you will feel it release, then rotate the other way and repeat. Unplug carefully the electrical plugs and put the airbag to one side, just lay it face "UP". The steering wheel is just a nut, just ensure your wheels are straight ahead before removing, may need a small "wack" from both palms from behind to pop it off the splines. The stalk / switch assy is held by a metal clip with one allen key bolt, you just loosen the bolt and it slides of the column. The switch connector is one huge multi-plug with an integral lever to remove, you have to ensure the lever is fully up before the plug will release.
  8. So do they offer a partial refund if it does not do whats stated ? It's almost like false advertising.
  9. it all depends on what radio you have and what connectors it has + what you got with the kit you bought ? dd you get the ISO loom ? pretty simple to do, normally plug and play. https://support.parrot.com/us/support/products/parrot-ck3100/how-install-car-radio-cable
  10. neither of those numbers are listed in the IPC where I'm looking, it also lists 6Q0953513AN (which in itself is odd as Fabia stuff should be 5J********* But..........your car has the number listed fitted as you took a photo of it. also, those prices seem high to me, I paid less for my whole genuine cruise kit from a dealer which includes a new stalk set. I personally would ring a skoda dealer who will use an upto date IPC and atleast give you the correct number and "may" even be cheaper.
  11. 221BHP ........ How much was this box ???
  12. I agree it was ok.................however I would / do have it in the same place but across that mounting like below so it's not resting on the edge and with the axle stand as it is
  13. oh dear................no need to get personal guys.............my dads bigger than your dad!!!...................😏 Plug in tuning boxes are a cheap "rough" way to tune (ish) an engine, thats a fact..............developed years ago "before" people had the ability and tech to "remap" the ECU software and do the job properly. Ask yourself this, if tuning boxes do the job, why do manufacturers not just plug one in for different models with diff power outputs...........and more importantly EVERY car ECU / engine is slightly different, a tuning box has a generic map designed to hopefully work on ANY particular model of car, it can never do the job properly. A proper ECU remap by someone who knows what they are doing will always be better and more specific to "your" engine and will use ALL the information the ECU receives as with a standard factory car / engine and "imo" ALL remaps should include a "before and after" rolling road to see what your money has bought. You have been given sound / good advice, choose to ignore it if you wish.
  14. Compared to my 3 ton Landy I had for 12 years the Fabia runs on air !!!!!
  15. Should be fine, its the correct type bulb. There is a 10w version of thses available, sometimes people fit those instead of the 5w as they look the same, but obviously they are hotter and can melt the lamps.
  16. https://workshop-manuals.com/skoda/fabia-mk2/body/body_work/interior_equipment/covers_storage_areas_and_trim_panels/summary_of_components_of_centre_console/
  17. There is a relay in the system in the "earlier" 2009 models, but was deleted with the Bi-halogen lights............need to be 100% when your car was built and "if" they are factory lights (which I suspect they are) I had a look at the wiring diagrams, cannot find any ref to that plug at the lamp circuit.
  18. Lovely front aerodynamic bumper..........then add these "scoops" to the front.............don't get it sorry...!! I bet they add to mpg consumption.
  19. Not true, you would need to buy the bluetooth module which is plug and play, not a new unit. Loads of them on Ebay, for example.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-SEAT-SKODA-BLUETOOTH-MODULE-Retrofit-KIT-RNS510-RCD510-7P6035730K/264802036811?hash=item3da76e6c4b:g:5ogAAOSwR~tex4FO Just make sure you purchase one "with" a wiring loom as well.
  20. Either or will work
  21. not 100% sure, it seems it can be removed with the bumper on the car.............although there seems to be lots of breakage going on !! Personally, I think I would remove bumper so I could see whats behind before trying to lever bits off.
  22. I can't see how coding would fix this / why its even "codable".............and more to the point how the coding even changed itself I would suggest the problem lies in the drivers door window motor / controller as thats the master which all the others go through, more likely water ingress / corrosion.
  23. Thats the number I sent you in a PM.............🙂 ref your car being made, it was June 2012 same as the switch. @WIno the 9B9 just means it's satin black, so VW and Audi changed the colour for their vehicles it seems.
  24. Thats what the Haynes manual ALWAYS says!!
