Regarding special connector 843 written on it( is it ignitor for side airbags or earthing )
Dear Experts , The update is found the issues of airbags/seatbelt tensioner passenger side, grateful @Breezy_Pete for his timely advice and direction for diagnostics , found wiring issue 5-6 wires related to passenger airbags and belt tensioner were found broken it seems intentional cut for shortcut goals. Disclaimer : I am NOT EXPERT in AUTO electrical domain, since I hold uni degree and understand basics of electronics and electrical and read lot so I am just doing investigation only at the moment, AIRBAG domain is very risky so please be careful, I am only sharing knowledge which may be wrong so please take expert help if needed. Thanks Regards IMG_6536 2.HEIC

Regarding special connector 843 written on it( is it ignitor for side airbags or earthing )
Dear Experts , Please recommend best/easy source for wring schematic for Fabia -2 interiors, I have looked the Skoda original manuals and read that they have stopped supplying wiring access to common public. I have seen wiring diagrams subscription form different companies i.e Autodata, Hynes, Alldata. I want to do basic checks if wires of passenger AIRBAG are at least connecting to proper pins of AIRBAG module connector of course with lot of caution. I have taken 7zap sucbrption for short time for looking oem parts. If anybody have Electrical wiring manual please do share , also checking many auto electrical experts ( 100 mile radius) and availability is big issue not many expert people are available for these so called complex electrical jobs, also they refuse when they hear AIRbag wiring issue. It will good fun not in rush , will take as challenge and learn the car electrical and apply my uni knowledge . Thanks for reading . Regrds

Regarding special connector 843 written on it( is it ignitor for side airbags or earthing )
Dear Experts , Earlier I was thinking there is connector issue but now my understanding is that there is definitely wiring /connectivity issue because I have cleared the errors and immediately those 2 errors came back and have taken VCDS log by connecting 2.4 ohm resistor at 2 wires seat belt tensioner ( coming from airbag module ) AND at seat belt AIRBAG 3 pin connector ( connected resistor at black and yellow wires, coming from airbag module ) got same response no change at all whatsoever, deleted errors immediately it popped up back. Now will look the wiring digram and see how the wires travel to airbag controller or even see there is clean connection to Airbags Module (J234) 5K0-959-655 K . Any pointers to get clairty about for wiring digram would be appreciated, I have 7ZAP.com full access but getting right digram is challenge. SO not sure if the crash data is not fully cleared or anything else is wrong. There is another possibility that during crash data clearing from module they may have messed up and module conigration itself may be faulty. I will check connectivity the wires from airbag to Module connector but before that I would need to find the correct wiring digram. Captured data PASSENGER SIDE ONLY (ABOVE MESSAGE HAVE DRIVE SIDE - from VCDS Live log : (Measuring blocks) Passenger side airbag igniter ohm value-Measured Value Resistance: 2.1 Front passenger front airbag igniter-Measured values : correct Passenger side side airbag igniter ohm value-Measured Value Resistance:too large Frt.pass. side belt tensioner igniter ohm value-Measured Value Resistance:too large Frt.pass. belt tensioner ohm value-Measured Value Resistance 2: too large Front passenger thorax airbag igniter-Measured values: too large Front passenger seat belt tensioner igniter-Measured values : too large Front passenger head curtain airbag igniter-Measured values:cannot be measured currently Front passenger side safety belt switch-Measured values: not installed Number of side crashes frt.pass. side: 1 Thanks, Kind Regrds

Regarding special connector 843 written on it( is it ignitor for side airbags or earthing )
Dear Pete , As always you are right after clearing Air bag error now left with just two errors , I remembered airbag coding which was originally missing were added few weeks ago but errors were never cleared , so cleared today and after clearing errors have noticed that 3rd error most dreadful and scary had disappeared bit of relief as wring may be correct only issue would be parts I think again I may be wrong. I have tested today Driver side of air bags and gathered below information from log so basically VCDS is capturing higher resistance of seat belt resistance but ECU is not logging error , which possibly make sense because car has been fitted with VW passrt tensioner which have higher resistance range and cpu is not caring. -> Captured data from VCDS Live log : (Measuring blocks) Driver side airbag igniter ohm value-Measured Value Resistance: 2.7ohm Driver thorax airbag igniter ohm value-Measured Value Resistance 2.4ohm Driver side belt tensioner igniter ohm value-Measured Value Resistance 2.6ohm Driver airbag igniter-Measured values : Correct Driver seat belt tension igniter-Measured values : Correct Driver seat belt switch-Measured values : Connected Driver thorax airbag igniter-Measured values : Correct Driver belt tensioner ohm value-Measured Value Resistance 2. : Too large. ( Understandable because Skoda Passat have different resistance Range ) Soon will do analysis for passenger side , will connect 2 to 2.4 ohm resistor and see VCDS log ( Seat AirBAG and seat belt tensioner has been disconnected ). At the moment I am getting errors only passenger side, not driver side but was curious to know more about ECU behaviour for wrong seat belt tensioner. Now need to understand about seat belt tensioner ignitor , buckle where seat belt clicks doesn't have any sensor in my car . Will check soon if anything else is missing and update it. Thanks regards

Regarding special connector 843 written on it( is it ignitor for side airbags or earthing )
Dear Pete , Appreciate your time , Great question , Well considering the past history of car and incompatible part found so far ( Driver side Seat belt tensioner /Passenger seat belt tensioner, driver side actuator and possibly front air bag ) and vcds error log which shows airbag errors especially [Kombi1 DLC Error]. Weird to note that ECU complains about passenger seat belt but does not throw any error about Driver side even though both parts are fitted from VW passat 2009 ( of course Fabia compatible Belt tensioner and VW Passat have slight different resistance range) Also I have not looked any NO CRASH sensor oem part for my car in 7zap.com ( full subscribed ) for my VIN number. I have also seen AIRBAG coding in VCDS and there were many fields which were displayed for AIRBAG and were disabled to configure suspect that mix and match wiring may have used by mechanic. @Jack25 have same car and he had pointed out different airbag connectors which make my believe stronger for possibly mess. Again I may be wrong based on my limited knowledge , please advice ur views I am hoping to test seat belt tensioner and passenger side air bag with resistor ( 2-3 ohom) ( air bag unplugged already ) and see the live values of resistance and airbag engine light. Regarding special connector 843 written on it( is it ignitor for side airbags or earthing )
Hi Experts , Any idea how to make polo interior harness compatible with fabia , not sure how much portion of wiring harness is messy ,Since I am getting error related to airbags so I reckon only airbag related harness would be incompatible that to passenger side. Novice mechanic trainee may have just used polo harness and module for connecting airbag ( passenger seat airbag , driver steering air bag , belt tensioner , passenger front airbag ) with air bag module which may have same oem number of polo 6. Any suggestion what should be approach to resolve the issue? I can think of two approaches , Options I can thinks of Look the floor and see how harness is been laid ( all airbags and airbag controller ) Look to see how modification can be done with existing polo6 wiring which has extra crash sensor only rest wiring and connectors seems ok. Any thought both task are very challenging and need lot of knowledge and learning about wiring and understanding connections, mechanical unscrewing seats may not big thing from car floor but repairing electrical fault is very big I feel. Any pointers would be appreciated . Thnaks

Found that it is - polo-6r-crash-sensor-impact-air-unit-module, not sure how its compatible with this car , so at least it is clear that it is Impact crash sensor , next question if it is compatible with the car or not why vcds is not throwing any error may be throwing error but cannot understand, that need to be checked now and need to be corrected. It means the door wiring of polo 6 has been used. Chat GPT : Are 5J0857701 and 5J2857701 interchangeable? No. They fit different mirror housings and different model years. Even though both are LED indicators, the shape, connector orientation, and mounting tabs differ. If your concern is: Hyper‑flash Bulb‑out warnings LED load differences …then both units draw similar low LED current, and neither will solve or cause those issues by “resistance.”

Regarding Connectors under seat
Appreciate Jack for your time , Mine fabia is CBZB 1.2 tsi tech (14 manufacturing year) , as per 7ZAP seatbelt tensioner for my car expects 5J (2)8 80202C which is may be specific for fabia 2014 and onwards model, the main point is resistance range of these tensioners, I have looked AI tool (AI cannot be trusted) found that 5J (0)8 80202(A,B, C) and 5J (2)8 80202C MAY not be interchangeable,, The 5J (0)8 80202 in generic part and fits in every fabia/Roomster model . Certinly prefix A, B, C does not effect resistance value but AESTHETIC improvement on connectors or plastic covering. Whenever possible please do share your vcds coding it will be interesting to know how much things are same or different for both flavours of fabia. you my share any previous scan done I am more interesting for module OEM numbers. I have checked modules OEM number and matched with 7zap and found 99% looks fine only worry I have possible for airbag module controller which is doubtful 90% positive 10% negative. I am progressing very well hope to complete this project and share knowledge with everybody . I think airbag handling is not that challenging as presented on net , it is not rocket science just make sure to disconnect battery terminal for good hours for 100% discharging the energy storing capacitors . They cannot store energy more than few minutes but just be safe side I started touching airbags after 24 hours of battery disconnection . Soon will be Testing ECU airbag wiring ( WITHOUT airbags connection simulating AIRBAGS with resistor ) will be done using 1 ohm , 2-3 ohm and 5-10ohm resistor to see the behaviour of ECU for low resistance, high resistance and just correct resistance. This will give me confirmation that airbag wring is prefect which seems to be good anyway and then will fit first set belt tensioner and test it , if all goes good focus will be front passenger AIRbag . I will NEVER use multimeter for AIR BAG related wiring or on AIrBAG for sure . Learning new things is great fun . Thanks kind regards

Regarding special connector 843 written on it( is it ignitor for side airbags or earthing )
Dear Experts , Can anybody advice me what is the part about i.e side airbag or earthing ? This part is located near seat belt tensioner ( passenger front side on pillar of car,) two images are attached for info, image1 from YouTube shows big connector connecting two wires bit unclear picture, 2nd image is taken from my car shows some kind of adapter (843 ) not sure what it is connecting which is different from 1st image , not sure if any connection has been missed out to it is earthing point or some hidden connection behind this adapter to air side bag. I have looked the electrical diagrams but could NOT find more info about it , thinking to remove and scan the QR code to understand what is going on. Yellow connector means some connection with AIR BAG does it mean side air bag connection please? Any thought please, would be highly appreciated. Thanks Kind regards

Regarding Connectors under seat
Appreciate @Jack25 for your quick response, so it mean mechanic had applied cheapest option as thought so It means the connector or wire has been changed hope it is fixed correctly will test with resister and update. I have also found the seat belt tensioner was hardwired very poorly with ordinary plastic tape no wonder why it was throwing high resistance, the seat belt tensioner was from Skoda Passat . Still unearthing slowly wonders as hobby project in car. Please can you dm me your VCDS diagnostics if possible want to check if all modules OEM number are correct so far I have verified with docs found on 7zap.com and feel that they looks ok to me. Once again appreciate your time and support . Kind Regards

Regarding Connectors under seat
Hi Experts , Can somebody Please correct me if my understanding is incorrect , I have found that other two types of connecter supplying power to heat the car seat and 2nd airbag, I believe my car does not have the both so I think of 3 plugs connector may be just for needed which is present . I have reared 7zip website for information. thanks kind regrds

Regarding Connectors under seat
Dear Experts , I am trying to analyse the basics checks of AIrbag issue ( will NOT use any multimeter ) so trying to see if all wiring is intact and no loose connection. Can anybody please advice if I am missing anything as I am seeing only just 1 airbag connector under seat rest 2 connectors as mentioned in video is missing even though same bracket exists as shown in video , also please advice I also don't see any extra cable connecting to ground terminal of my fabia mk2 . Any idea wht is the role of this wire ? Thanks regrds

Centre console trim panel - Gearbox boot ring help please
Much appreciated @3T51704x4 , Very true ring was very aggressive, also with time dust struck and makes things even harder, I had luck this morning understood the mechanism of removing cigarette holder so added some dw40 under the ring and followed this guy video step by step and magic worked, I will be ordering button from Germany ( skoda-parts) cleaned with brush and lot of 99% isopropyl alcohol but is still unable to remove 100% rust , even tried using dw40 but no luck , possibly ultrasonic cleaner can do it better , just gave up , will order new, will test it again I believe I think pressure resistance may not be as expected and because of rust so not sure if it work on every press. Once again appreciate your time to respond , any body needs any experience about how we go ahead replacing cigarette and button switch please feel free to ping me any time. Fabia Mk2 panels are very poor quality of cheaP plastics, mk1 have much better quality. Thanks kind regrds

Centre console trim panel - Gearbox boot ring help please
Dear Experts ,Had some luck with great difficult I was able to open the gear lever boot , the shiny ring has broken but usable , the lever leather is rubbing with panel and it was very difficult to open the panel. found button switch was rusted and cigarette socket connector is broken . Cigarette socket have a very small wire so please be careful , I think cigarette lighter should open outside so was central Lock/unlock button switch but was not sure and even I wanted to make sure to check connectivity of all plug/socket . Cleaned the connector with isopropyl with qtip/tooth brush but rust have reduced but still there so decide not to use it - ordering new one from Skoda-parts. Saw lot of white dust inside not sure what does it mean may be salt. Plastic Body tool kit was not much useful screwdriver had helped to lift the ring . Trying to pull the cigarette socket out of body for replacement and not easy to remove , it is slight rotating but not coming out some lock is stopping tried to pull , pressed some internal metal strips but no luck yet , don't want to break cigarette socket stopping some lock fixed panel. Anybody have switch/connector please message me directly. Hop it helps others. ANy more info please free to message me please. thanks regards
