  1. Ionelmc, I ordered a set of winter wheels with my 220ps and the dealer explicitly warned me to get 17" rims for the car as 16" rims won't fit. I was told that there are 16" steel rims that can be fitted, but those are "space saver spares" only. Might be utter bullpoop though. If I were you, I would definitely wait until I could measure my car's rotors - buying a set of rims and tires that quite possibly won't fit is a waste of money.
  2. My guess: Because the AC occasionally runs even in heating mode ( to dehumidify) it can be cooled year-around
  3. Just met the dealer. Order placed on Sept 28, build week now confirmed as the 50th, giving a total timeframe of cca 11 weeks until delivery. Far better than the 16-22 originally estimated. Magnetic brown L&K hatch, beige int, no sunroof, 220 tsi.
  4. ...waiting for build week confirmation...

  5. Preamble: I hope that putting in a direct link to an online parts store is not against forum rules. If so then mods pls correct me. According to buycarparts.co.uk, the answer is yes: http://www.buycarparts.co.uk/brake-discs/skoda/superb-3v3/113308
  6. Or maybe change the audio source? This way you would not have to watch the frequency and station name Not sure if the Amundsen has an AUX/BT or similar input that could be used as "quiet" though.
  7. AFAIK 220 and 280 needs at least 17" rims, whereas other versions can go with 16" - I'd guess this implies larger discs...
  8. Well, the dealer told me that the main source of delays these days are the moonroofs - apparently Skoda is low on those. On a sidenote, I checked the new Volvo V90 and it was the exact same situation with a certain type of interior decor ("linear walnut"), ordering that would have pushed back ETA to May 2017...
  9. Just a few guesses / comments: - Having the AC in auto while heating: it is normal that the AC compressor turns on. It is not "fighting" the heating per se, it is dehumidifying. - Turning off the AC and then turning down temp control: it is normal that the AC does not turn on. This is the "ECO" mode, cold setting simply means no hot coolant diverted into heater radiator. - Setting the temp to 20C produces a steady stream of cold air, does not matter if gets too cold in the cabin: not normal. Could be faulty internal temp sensor or a computer glitch (set temps in F?!) Ps: Please note that I do not own a Superb MK3 (yet...) Been through a bunch of cars though. Answered the original post because no one else did and wanted to keep hope alive for a more educated comment
  10. If only an expert could chime in and confirm if (and if then what...) are the differences between the two units? Also, it would be interesting to see if there is a correlation between the "never had a single glitch" and the "scares me every now and then" folk. Since this community is from all across Europe maybe we can figure out if the 160 units are more prone to this than the 210?
  11. Just found this thread and was wondering if it is the 160 or the 210 version? The radar units are supposedly different with the latter operating on a tighter beam afaik - easier to "loose target"?!
  12. Thank you Rainmaker - will see then. Were those P7s runflats, might have had them replaced on sight...
  13. Ordered a fully tricked out (sans moonroof) magnetic brown L&K hatch, now waiting for build week confirmation. Original estimate was "delivery within 22 weeks" but I was told that it might be much quicker. My only concern is that many owners here phrased criticism over road noise. On the - admittedly short - test drive in a 190 diesel I have not found it noisy at all, though that car was not equipped with the adjustable suspension. Should something go wrong I might end up replacing the P7s... The dealer told me that the oem tyres are non-runflat, which (runflats) I hate anyways. Can anyone confirm this?
  14. ...and let's mention that winter rims should have spokes specially formed (i.e. recessed a bit from the face) to accomodate snow chains, should the need arise
  15. Ordered yesterday a fully tricked-out L&K 220 TSI sedan in magic brown (sans moonroof). Now counting the days. According to the dealer it should be here this year since the delay is always with the moonroof... Fingers crossed etc
  16. ...and this was the ventillated one, with perforated leather. Also, I sincerely hope that the demo leather scraps with foam backing are just a thin piece to show the surface and not the real stuff. Seemed toooooo thin and flimsy to my eyes.
  17. Ordered ventillated keather - have to see yet. The saleswoman mentioned that they had a customer with a small child on board. The kid threw up something special - three cleaning efforts later the seats were replaced...
  18. I know that this is an old thread but was wondering if the same sources got any wind about impending MY18 changes? Will replace the LR3 with a Superb but would definitely hold my breath for a HUD and a full digital instrument cluster...
