How much is the original VRS exhaust worth ?
Its worth what anyones willing to pay - The issue now is Covid unless your posting (and if posting an exhaust thats a ball ache). Also take into account were in the run up to Christmas, many people will hold off on non essential purchases, so I would either contemplate scrap metal merchants (weigh in on the cat would be worth something when they are open) or wait till January and wait for someone whos got some Christmas cash and may want to convert their non VRS to an immitation VRS.

No it doesnt really help ..... but looks good when you wash the car

Rear wiper removal
I'm struggling to see what they actually test nowadays! +1, thats what I use and its great, although it wont stop crap sticking to the rear window thats forced up from the back of the car (although its pobably less of an issue on a hatch compared to an estate) The biggest issue I had with saloon ownership was being in traffic when raining as you couldn't see push bikes etc coming up behind you in traffic in built up areas when dark.

Rad Fan not working, clutch fault and aircon fault at 36K miles ?
If its out of warranty i would be more tempted to try a specialist rather than main dealer - apart from anything it will be cheaper. Years ago i had a Oct 2 Scout that had an issue with not boosting when cold. The dealer sent it to multiple garages and it had 3 recon'd turbos and then a genuine turbo fitted over a 4 month period (none of which sorted the issue), im guessing because the fault code indicated a turbo issue. It finally went to a specialist who found the fault to be a valve or solenoid in the rocker cover.

Headlight washer delay or number of washers before activation - OBDeleven
Mine was 65 plate and mine was every 10th pull as well.

Headlight washer delay or number of washers before activation - OBDeleven
No, I fiddled the settings on my old Scout so it did them every 3rd pull of the stalk. You dont need lights on to programme it. So how often do they wash currently?

Real world VRS economy
Take into account regens on the diesel ..... Whilst mine was a diesel Scout, on my trip to work (rural commute, 40 miles each way) i would hit 55mpg consistently, unless it was doing a regen in which case it dropped to around 50mpg. Iwould say it regen'd approx every 350 ish miles ...... Its like watching money burn

Replace key battery warning
Is yours KESSY (keyless entry), if so mine would some times eat batteries in literally 2 months and thats using decent batteries. I did wonder if leaving car unlocked caused the key fob battery to drain quicker (as if being unlocked it was waiting for car to be started so was looking for the key signal) as mine is in a locked alarmed garage so didnt always lock it, but then when I started locking it the fob battery lasted longer.

LED Tail Lights
The main diff is the tail light looks like a solid bar as opposed to 2 smaller bars when lit, when there off visually there is little difference.

Mirror turn lights, downlights led replacement
I fitted LED puddle lights on my Oct 2 & Oct 3. I brought complete replacement LED units from Superskoda. Not cheap but very effective Mirror puddle lights

Headlight (Dip) now yellow/orange instead of white !
+1, dont go any higher Kelvin as you then comprimise the brightness that the bulb puts out Genuine Osram come with a unique code that you can verify on-line - I would only buy from a known re-seller. Ive run the Osram Xenarc Night Breaker in the wifes old MINI and they were spot on.

First MOT due soon.
I thought it would fail for any dash light - The brake pad warning light came on in my car 2 weeks ago and my MOT was last Friday. There was clearly loads of meat left on the pad but rang the MOT station and they said it would fail so got them done before it was MOT'd I think a lot of this is just down to interpretation, and of course that differs from person to person

I scanned that and cant see anything related to spare tyres, but whilst having a spare / kit is not a MOT requirement, if you have one it surely would have to be legal. Mine left the factory with a repair kit but was MOT'd twice with a spare tyre. A spare is far better as I found out when i got a puncture outside Glasgow 6pm a few years ago on my way back to East Yorkshire and was able to put a spare on and carry on my journey safely.

Brake Pads
I dont know if relays can suddenly get noisier but one option is to replace the relay and see if a newer one is quieter. Otherwise could you maybe put something over the relay to try and deaden the sound somehow as a test and see if its then quiet enough? Ive got an aftermarket bar on mine and the relays are in the boot side cubby hole and Ive got seat covers, cloths, couple of dog towels and all sorts rammed in there. Im not aware the relays produce heat or if they need ventilation - maybe someone else can advise.

Sasha’s Octavia vRS
Very nice, top job. Thats was one of the dissapointments for me in the Oct 3 - the standard stereo was poor, even in comparison to my Oct 2
