Finally added the hardware to complete the 9VD Audi/SEAT Sound System retrofit. This isn’t a config Skoda ever offered and I’m very sure this is unique in an Octy so far. With some VCP magic it’s possible to load the 5 channel EQ and activate sub and centre speaker pins on the Columbus radios so I did it and with the extra speakers added I’m really happy! It’s no custom build and it’s not quite as powerful as the CANTON system (though I also have the cheeky ‘Sound by CANTON’ splash screen 😬 but I’m really happy. YouTube will compress the hell out of this but hopefully you can hear the centre speaker and sub working. That needs time to bed in a bit but I’m happy it’s added some low end for now. I need to adjust the grill a bit as it’s not gone back in quite perfectly but that’s a job for later. For now I’m happy the stereo system finally has some decent punch and all for under £130.

The symptom you describe sounds like power issue. If you don’t have a good join on the power or the power is cut when the ignition is off you will get this message. You need a continuous 12v supply which the wiper usually is but in your case it might not be working for you. I wire them direct to the fusebox to avoid this issue.

Oh there are many things, especially when you add options that Skoda never did I wish! I found a DG 280 SportLine Estate with the options I wanted and though yes until I saw the price. £24,000 for a 17 plate example!!! WTF! Can confirm cat has been in the box 🤣

Front assist is standard with ACC, vented seats. Heated steering wheel, vented seats and camera are all optional even on L&K. There is is a very high spec SE-L 220 TSi with those options for pretty cheap on AT so that’s a contender if you can go for 91k on the clock. Obviously the manual cars don’t come with Traffic Jam Assist but I don’t know if that was standard with the DSG or optional. If it was optional it can be retrofitted but not by the dealer.

Have you tried another phone and/or another cable to narrow down the issue? Isolate it to the car or the phone. Mine has been flawless even through the beta program.

SportLine sort of straddles the two, but for 2018 it was split to the base SportLine and SportLine Plus. My major gripe with the SE-L is the damn monochrome Maxidot. That is so cheap!! They had the cheek to include that on a high trim level car up to the Mk3.5 facelift that was released end of 2019 and it’s still there on SE Tech and below. The Mk3.5 has the new front end and LED headlights, released Sept 2019. As a rule for the SE-L Executive things that are standard Power bootlid Xenon headlamps with AFS Half leather/Alcantara seats with power adjustment on the drivers seat and front heating though most have full leather Adaptive cruise control 9.2 inch Columbus navigation system (8 inch pre MY18) Front parking sensors Mk3.5 (2020 model) SE-L Loses Columbus, drops to Amundsen with 8 inch screen Gains colour Maxidot Gains KESSY on rear door handles (this was not available on any Superb with KESSY pre 2020) Gains full Adaptive LED Crystal lighting with welcome animations Gains A5 camera for the above function so Lane Assist can be coded in So thats a good amount of spec but the L&K gains (MY17-19) KESSY Dynamic Chassis Control Virtual Pedal for power bootlid Colour Maxidot Paddle shifters on steering wheel (DSG) Power passenger seat Lane Assist and Blind Spot Assist (Lane Assist allows traffic sign recognition and high beam assist to be coded if they aren’t already) Heated front windscreen Heated rear seats Tri Zone climate control Park Assist (self parking for bay and parallel parking) Ambient Lighting (10 colours post MY17 configurable to 30 post MY18 with coding) CANTON Premium sound system MY20 is slightly different and 21 different again.

Would help to know what trim level you shopping for as that narrows down what’s optional and what’s standard. For the MY18 the radio screens changed and the climate panel was made glossy but each individual trim level had different changes.

Still good to check your joints, this is almost always a wiring issue for me, once you have constant, reliable power from the camera, the Park Pilot not available message is usually solved. Ensure you have very good joints and constant 12v on the camera and good video cables etc. I did one on 0468 recently so the firmware is usually decent.

Lack of consistent power to the camera is usually what does this. Also need to code 76 Park Pilot Byte 2 Bit 4 (camera type - rearview low).

CQ is probably the software part number, the physical part number is CG but either way if it’s a 084 it’s doable. 086 ones aren’t. You have the exact same file I have, 084CG 0253. Coding has taken, just waiting on the hardware.

Thats the radio firmware, not BCM. But it’s an MY18 onward radio so you should be good. If in 09 adaptations you can find ambient light list 1 and 2 then you can do it. Pm me and I’ll send you my colour list. Yeah if you have a 084DD or CG BCM then you can do it

What BCM firmware do you have? Last MY17 I had in was on 0236 which is too old, you need 0242 or newer and if you have that, I can provide the coding. Every firmware are radio will be different, perhaps only the MIB2.5’s have the SportLine splash screen in the firmware?

Search seat, I did that off the top of my head so it might not be exactly what it says and you’ll find it in there somewhere.

Instead of. On long coding with the long coding helper it shows Lane Assist as that Bit.

I did it on the FL Superb, coding listed there wasn’t quite accurate, in 44 I needed to code Byte 0 Bit 3 and then do a full shut down and rescan of everything and clear all the errors in the relevant controllers. Worked perfectly.
