  1. Coding as the older cars in 46 but in 09, so Adaptation channel one, enter one and save and hit the open button on the key.
  2. Massive thanks to @langers2k for sending me a key, it works!! Dad is much happier with this and the leather steering wheel so now I just need to get him a blade and get the immo chip out and he’ll have a fully functional remote key.
  3. Yes, Brentacre insure it
  4. Thanks. You will need some power seats and they will come with the wiring they need to work, you will need the female wiring plug and then connect to the fusebox for power and the BCM for part of the heated loom and CAN on drivers seat. Really does help, I like a Superb but I just can’t get one with the options I want. What’s cool with the FL Superb’s with dynamic light assist (SE-L and above) is they all have the A5 camera so you can code lane assist on them.
  5. This is interesting as I have 3Q0 907 530 L 4326 and the coding takes and the auto mode is shown on the screen and it’s all there in the BCM, but when the mode is changed on Automatic it doesn’t change the colour on my car. My drive mode stays put though, does not default back to Normal. BCM is 5Q0 937 084 CG 0253
  6. You do indeed need a Q revision Gateway, mine is also an L revision one but I want to either replace or flash mine at some point. Haven’t done it yet as I’ve not long put the data set onto the L revision Gateway after installing.
  7. Pop the 5Q0035726E USB in, that should do it
  8. Where exactly is the fault? Is it in 20 HBA module which is in the mirror housing or is it in 55 Headlight Range Control? And what is the fault code?
  9. Comfort entry and key memory on the seats coded! When the door is opened the seat slide back and the backrest up a bit to help you out and then comes back with the door closed. Here it is doing it’s thing and moving the seat from my position to my wife’s position (who is 5’2” with short legs and I’m 5’7” with long legs hence the massive difference and the reason I wanted to have these seats) and back to mine again. Also does the mirrors as I have those. Nice one 🙂
  10. To get full access you need to remove the D pillar trim (just pulls off? Remove the hooks on the boot sides, remove the rear seat cables from the handles, remove the screws from behind the D pillar and load cover, remove the tie down points and boot light, remove the load lip trim by unscrewing the Torx fixings below floor level then pull it off, remove the side carpet or at least pull it out of the way and then fold the seat down and pull the side trim away but tbh if you can get your hands around it without removing that it’ll be easier.
  11. Looks like it’s down to the controller as I suspected, wonder if anyone with massage seats could post a scan so I can see the part number. If it’s cheap I’ll do it lol.
  12. Tried that and nothing doing for now but I need to have a proper look at it. Might just risk it and get the button and run the coding I can see.
  13. Having checked the coding in my electric seat, I have a bit that is there for massage activation. Wonder if it’s just a case of the correct buttons and coding. Anyone got a scan from a car with this option fitted? Would go for it as the button is super cheap on AliExpress and I don’t need 3 seat memory positions. Can’t see the seat being different if it’s only moving the lumbar and it was such an inexpensive option. Thanks
  14. Need to remove the trim or airbag around the rear seat, then you can get in and remove the C pillar trim. Can I ask why you need to remove it? If it’s routing a camera wire, there are much more effective routes to take.
  15. But do the 2010 onward cars with BCM have the ability to learn new fobs for locking via VCDS? Can only find info on the 09 or earlier cars. Thanks everyone.
  16. Another mod completed, sort of 😂 Electric 230 interior is officially installed. Got some things to sort like the rear backrest tabs are showing up but the seats are locked and I’ve decided to keep the red stitching and match the wheel, gear knob and handbrake stitching later. Otherwise I am just going to hit the rear seats with a hairdryer to get the last few storage marks out but otherwise I’m super happy. I’d show you the comfort access but that’s not going to work until Tuesday as the FL BCM has stropped one time too many and is now dead so I’ve put the old one back in, will have the CP done then and after that the comfort access will work but everything else works including the seat memory and the mirror memory as I have memory mirrors too. Very very happy 😃
  17. You’ll need to scan the car and check the Gateway. If the Gateway isn’t a Highline one, you’ll need one of those and then the CP will need removing and FeC’s doing on it.
  18. Golf one isn’t the same as far as I know but you will need floor, side rails, bar across the back and all the fixings to do it and cut the side panels.
  19. I can’t remember off hand if it mentioned remote locking in the coding. Think it did but I’ll have to double check.
  20. Hi everyone, so you may have seen the Octavia family has grown by 1 and it’s a very basic one with no remote locking. It’s a late 2011 with a BCM 1K0 937 085 L and 46 CCM shows no communication. So my question is, how do you retrofit remote locking to a car with a BCM? I understand on older cars you change the CCM for one with RCL support and code the keys but is this the case with the BCM? Is this BCM capable of RCL support? If so, how does the coding differ from older cars? All advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks
  21. Go for it. Once I do mine I can let you know the exact method and we can take it from there.
  22. You do need the RGB panel lights from an Audi and the wiring and a BCM that supports footwell lighting (ending 084 or 085). For this car I took the scan and it is compatible and I pre coded but the hardware I am waiting on and I’ll be able to offer this retrofit soon.
  23. It rides really well! It is sitting down a bit but springs will probably be added soon. Has a whole Mk3 interior in there, isn’t so bad when it’s not loaded. Yeah it has central locking but just no remotes so I’ll check Ross-Tech’s archives and see what I can find. Will scan it all tomorrow and see what I can find, was only interested in cruise control compatibility today so got that all ordered and ready.
  24. Welcome everyone to my Dad’s new workhorse, this 2011 61 Octavia 1.6 TDI S. It’s very very basic (no remote locking basic) and it’s sitting down at the rear as it’s full of my new seats lol but yeah, other than some general detritus, bit of surface rust in places and a flashing glow plug light as the brake pedal switch is faulty (love the OBDEleven for convenient fault finding on the spot) which I negotiated down on and it’s impressive 202,500 miles I’m extremely impressed with it. Some tidy up, some mods and some retrofits are coming and with some shrewd negotiating we stole it with MoT till November 2021 and £30 annual road tax at £1200 😀 Things that have already been ordered: Leather steering wheel Leather gearknob and gaiter Cruise control and trip computer stalks (it already has a cruise control ready clock spring) Jumbo box, armrest, leather handbrake with the Aux port Brake pedal switch Full service gear Right indicator in the mirror as it doesn’t work Things I need to work out and would appreciate help with as I’m new to the 1Z platform Remote locking - super surprised it doesn’t have this as I’d have thought by 2011 even the S would but hey ho, is it a case of a new CCM with remote function, take the transponder from a key, do the coding to match and a remote and an extra wire for signal boost? Can I use the blade from one of the keys here or will I have to get a new one cut? Also, how do you get into the non remote keys? Rear speakers? Is the wiring there for these or does it have to be added if we want them? Can’t wait to learn more about the Mk2, super impressed with it already!
