  1. Retrofits are straightforward and readily available on these cars too. If you want a reverse camera they can be fitted. I have bought mine knowing it’s not got the spec I want but I’ll enjoy bringing it up to scratch lol
  2. Quick interior shot for those interested, this’ll change with a VC in time. Legit can’t wait! Gunna be a long fortnight.
  3. There has been a lovely 1.5 SEL FL Estate at motorpoint with a good amount of options on it for sale for £20,999 for a while and it’s fab, has the heated steering wheel too. I couldn’t make it work for me so I stuck to my guns with a Dragon Green estate but that’s a lovely car for a lot of money off. If keeping 10-12 years I can’t see the difference between a new car and one that’s 12-24 months old now. Mine will be 2 in April and I see no reason it wouldn’t be fine in 10 years. My Octy is 6 and half years old with 133k on it; been faultless.
  4. The Meteor is a lovely colour, it and the Dragon Green stand out, but I love the loudness of DG. Yeah it was haha but this has more kit anyway and maybe my mindset is skewed as it will be having a new windscreen fitted at some point lol 😂
  5. I like Vega’s but the Supernova’s are the ones to have for sure!!
  6. Haha it’ll be staying fairly standard in that respect. Unlike the Octy they look fine at this height so just mild exterior mods this time lol
  7. Thanks! It’s not quite there but near enough and I always need something to do to keep my occupied haha A lot cheaper! New with all the stuff I want is £49k. This is £18,750. Windscreen, VC and camera will make about £1000 so the big stuff isn’t that expensive anyway.
  8. Thanks for the info, the more complex ones I’ll be doing down the line, just can’t wait to have it in front of me haha
  9. I’m happy with the figure, I won’t make it public yet, at least not until the new owner collects it. Thanks, I’ll always be around the Octy section as I’ve loved owning mine. I’m not too fussed on MPG really, would have preferred a petrol one but the colour is so hard to get, I’ll take a diesel!
  10. I’m not fussed about performance really, it’ll sit in a car park in work most of the time but I get to look at it from my desk haha 😆 I’ll get a toy for cheap thrills when I can. Lane Assist and heated front screen (will pop a new screen in to support both at the same time) pACC and TJA can be done then too VC PLA 3.0 and trailer assist as it has a tow bar Rear cam and maybe 360 cameras to come Virtual Pedal Rear KESSY handles Some body work mods perhaps and maybe Supernova’s and a brake upgrade down the line.
  11. So, this draws us to a close on this thread, no more updates as the lovely Octy has been sold and replaced with something new for collection in early March. If you want to follow the progress on the new toy, the thread is linked below.
  12. So the time has come to move my beloved Octy on and I’m super pumped to say that I’ve paid my deposit on this lovely lean green machine 💚 It’s a 2019 Superb SportLine Plus 2.0 TDI 150 DSG with the following options Variable Boot Floor Folding tow bar Exclusive Dragon Green paint That’s all it has for now but there’s a laundry list of retrofits to get through on it in time. It’s having a service and DSG oil change currently along with a full prep this week for collection in early March. I legit can’t wait to finally be a Superb owner!!!!
  13. I can’t remember. I’ll have to check it in the box when I get home.
  14. Thanks I have 3Q0 980 654 H camera at home. Should be grand for pACC. Will be making the call when I’m done in work, see if I can do a buy 🤩
  15. Hihi, do you remember the part number of your A5 camera? As I have one at home for the new car but just need to confirm in case I need a newer one. Thanks 😊
  16. As above, you need to take the mirror glass off to check the motor physically. Luckily the mirror motor isn’t drive side specific, just car side specific so that’s the right one for the passenger side
  17. 4E0959577C is the mirror motor I used which was from a Superb. You then need the plug and extra wires or add them yourself. WD is available on ETKA or I have a pinout somewhere.
  18. I’ll say it only once more, those who have it working just via coding, try setting the dip position and you will see that it doesn’t work as it’s supposed to. It’ll drop 10mm and if you are lucky it’ll come back but the mirror motor doesn’t have the memory unless you have 7 pins to the motor which was in all but the rarest cases only fitted to cars with power seats. The Octy is not like the Leon/Golf where almost all the mirrors have the memory motor. The Octy, unless specified with the memory mirrors as a standalone option which is incredibly rare and only available on certain trims at certain times, not throughout the production run, doesn’t have the ability to enable this feature only via coding. It’s easy enough to fit the memory motor if you are handy though and then it’ll all work as it should. I’ve fitted power seats with driver memory and memory mirrors to my car and it all works as it should off the key and driver profiles.
  19. The SportLine has the RS theme as well. What is the full part number? Do you have the speedo end set to 160 or 180 mph?
  20. Buy a Golf 7.5 HBA mirror, make a twisted CAN loom, depin pin 3 on the mirror, insert CAN high to that pin, CAN low to pin 8. Splice CAN low to pin 7 in the gateway and CAN high to pin 17. Code 20 High Beam Assist into the Gateway and check the coding in there is right for your headlight type.
  21. You need the BCM swapping to achieve this. No mean feat unfortunately but it is possible. I’ve done it and it’s cool but I wouldn’t do it again. Cost isn’t bad if you can DIY but would be £ if you were outsourcing and the hassle really isn’t worth it. You would also need the cluster doing to match as the old clusters don’t have the LIN connection for it.
  22. Are you talking about the auto high beam? I’m not sure what a wig wag high beam is. Certainly the auto high beam is an easy enough retrofit on these cars which I can detail if needed
  23. The LED strips are part of a very complex retrofit that I have done and would not recommend doing!! It’ll involve a new BCM and all the coding fun you’ll have with that, plus the wiring and the strips. All in I’ve spent a fortune on parts, hours on making wiring looms and I’m still chasing a stubborn fault light and the strips are barely bright enough to see. I would focus the effort on another mod.
  24. You only need to do the Gateway on PFL if you want the extra dial info but it will work without it. Map mode works on mine fine, just needed a minor VCDS tweak.
  25. Yeah that’s a MIB2 Bolero, 5E0919605N is plug and play.
