I have checked the tyres. They are called Farroad (225x45 R17). Wouldn't be able to find the ratting of these tyres.

Air filter couldn't be clogged up as i changed the air filter as well as cabin filter myself 10 to 11 months ago. Air filter was pretty clean when the guy took it off and didn't really necessary to change this time. But still I did change it. It seems tyres to be blamed, but really guys this is unbeliebable.

Most definitely. As i was getting pooor fuel consumption I checked the pressures by my own machine and yes they were all set to correct pressure by the tyre shop which was 32psi. i have checked them again a week ago and they stood all correct.

I didnt pay attention to those alphabets for fuel consumption and noise level. I used brand new sets of best specification tyres couple of years ago and didnt see much of difference in anything.

i got myself a Tyre pressure pump. so i set them 32psi all around. i check the pressure whenever i get time and adjust them all around. besides i got a small TPMS gadget where I can see the live pressure and temperatures of the inside air of the tyres.

Wow Shelock Homes, you solved the mystery. Tyres wren't that good in terms of fuel effeciency. I remember checking the label before buying but fogot the alphabet right now. so you thinking because of brand new tyres the consumption decreased.

High fuel consumption after servicing.
Before servicing I bumped into the curve and damaged two of my left tyres. Tyres were all almost nearly touching the minimal thread though except one. so I got the tyres changed from the corner tyre shop of the place I live with a set of four (Budget tyre) around 3 or 4 days before servicing.

High fuel consumption after servicing.
I know all these factors about mpg. but nothing has changed except four brand new BUDGET tyres. My concern is after the service the consumption dropped down and the garage guy used a boy (apprentice) to do the servicing. I saw him strugling to open the spark plugs as well as air filter. I wasn't their while he replaced the spark plugs as I popped out to get coffe for myself. I was confused about Oil grade too. So all these factors making me thik that servicing wasn't done properly hence the drop down of mpg.

I normally used to get minimum 330 to 340 miles by 42 liters.

I know where the gear sign is. i never needed to pay attention to it where as my infoteinment is always set as Driving data and Displying Since Start mode. I am always concern about fuel consumption. well. I have just filled the tank couple of days ago to the full. i'll update this thread about proper mpg when i'll fill up the tank again.

Noticing to 7th gear is far more difference than noticing to fuel consumption. As I mentioned previously, I always fill the tank to the full (when it cuts off automatically then i stop. i do not overfill the tank) and set the trip meter to '0'. I never forget it and have been doing this practice since 2017. So definitely I am losing miles after this service.

High fuel consumption after servicing.
So, I am not alone. I think people who are taking my thread as fun they didn't pay attention of their consumption. I cant find any reason the consumption to be higher. I used to get 52mph on 50mph road..now barely I can see on my infoteinment that it can reach to 42mph max. I know people will be saying brim the tank, have proper calculation.. Use the spread sheet or consumption calculation chart blablabla... But i know my car and its consumption..definitely it drops down.

High fuel consumption after servicing.
Well, I didn't brim the the tank to test the consumption. but since servicing i am getting around 20-30miles less than what I used to get. I did fill the tank yesterday to the full and i reset the trip to 0. everytime i fill the tank i set the trip meter to 0 without fail. Thats why I know that car is consuming more than what it supposed to. Anyway, if Engine oil or Spark plugs are not the influencing factors of more fuel consumption, then i better end the thread here. I'll come back to this post if it gets worse. but so far its manageable and probably consumption will get back to normal. I was just wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this issue.

High fuel consumption after servicing.
I was also thinking that I had the same issue with my previous car as well. but anyway, that was with my 1.6tdi and this one is 1.4tsi. Same sort of problem..is it quite normal with octavia? Anyone else having concern of this sort? One of the other skoda dealers was refering me to different type of oil, right now i forgot the grade but not definitely 5W30. So I dont know if the consumption increased because of oil changing.

High fuel consumption after servicing.
Couple of weeks ago i had full servicig in 41k miles of my 1.4tsi (67 plate). That means Oil, oil filter, air filter, spark plugs. After servicing i strangely found that car is consuming more fuel than it was before. I used 5w30 long life oil as it was recommended from this forum as well as Skoda dealer. Since servicing i am driving it regularly in local and motorway, but it consuming more fuel..Does anyone have any idea why its consuming more or you think its normal?

Hi, I've managed to do it with my obd11. it was very easy. I didn't change the top option which (Lasttyp 26: not active). that's why it didn't work with previous adaption. Now I changed it to 9 - allgemeine Gl..... and both works now.

How to enable both rear fog lights on OCTAVIA 1.4tsi hatchback 2017 Split head light (LED front and back)
I got OBD11 and my previous Octavia 2016 1.6tdi I was able to enable both fog lights using the step by step guide from this forum, but that step by step guide seems not working for this car. Did anyone manage to activate both rear fog lights. Can somebody help me out for this specific model please?
