1.4 TSI Multiple Cylinder misfires despite replacing all 4 coil packs and spark plugs
Mine is petrol..i don't think I have fuel filter. Guys, what do you suggest me to do? To be honest, i am confused. Someone please narrow down me to start keeping it in mind that I am very novice. N.B: if it was fuel filter then i should have misfire recorded for all the filters.

1.4 TSI Multiple Cylinder misfires despite replacing all 4 coil packs and spark plugs
It's not only flashing engine sign. Stop/start doesn't work as soon as engine sign flashes. The next day car starts normal and runs normal which means start/stop works fine until engine gets enough hot. then without fail it throws the engine flashing sign on the dash, consequently stop/start gives error . Its happening eryday. Mechanic checked the live data and based on that they said three cylinders misfires. I know it could be anything..but how to pin point the fault. I like your idea though to swap the coils. but as i never changed the ignition coil i rather not touch it. I may pay some money to local guy to swap it for me. do you think i should do it? so far only cylinder 4 hasn't got any problem..and cylinder 3 is almost every occasion. N.B: One thing I definitely want to make sure that there was not a slightly loss of power. if there was any problem with the cylinder I should be expecting some lacking of power, isn't it? OP said he/she changed all the coils and spark plugs and also his/her symptom was losing the power. Is there any update from you randompunter?

1.4 TSI Multiple Cylinder misfires despite replacing all 4 coil packs and spark plugs
I got your point but volkswagen specialist did diagnose with their tool and they identified cyl 1,2 and 3 has the problem and as far as i can remember when this problem occured for the first time..it was also 1,2 and 3. Another thing is i dont know not know how to change the coils or plugs..

1.4 TSI Multiple Cylinder misfires despite replacing all 4 coil packs and spark plugs
its keep happening. I mean, i cleared the code this afternoon but after couple of hours stop/start stops working (no flashing engine sign though). I ran the diagnostic and it gave me syl3 missfire. I have decided to change all the coils and spark plugs. I am not going to skoda dealer as they gave me quote for £55 per coil and £25 per spark plugs. Can anybody recommend me any other place where i can get genuine volkswagen parts cheaper or would it be wise to buy from ECP? if yes, then what make or brand I should go for?

1.4 TSI Multiple Cylinder misfires despite replacing all 4 coil packs and spark plugs
I had this flashing engine sign today again. Literally, i am having this every day..no power loss, no jettering only stop/start stops working. Ran the diagnostic and says cln3 misfire detected. Took the car to local garage, couldn't identify any missfire P030300 - Cyl.3 Misfire Detected static Date: 2022-02-02 09:42:19 Mileage: 97154 km Priority: 2 Malfunction frequency counter: 1 Unlearning counter: 255 Engine speed: 698.00 1/min Normed load value: 13.7 % Vehicle speed: 0 km/h Coolant temperature: 96 °C Intake air temperature: 45 °C Ambient air pressure: 1020 mbar Voltage terminal 30: 13.334 V Dynamic environmental data: 209650F44634F40B1D1010008D14B40E1011991000174600014

1.4 TSI Multiple Cylinder misfires despite replacing all 4 coil packs and spark plugs
I have the similar car as OP with petrol engine. Last night I had engine light flashing as I was driving in the 30mph road in the city. There was no power loss or anything else other than stop/start being not working. Well, I did scan the car with OBD11 and it brought the code P030000 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected. I have cleared the code and today as i was driving i had the similar engine light flashing without any problem. following are the details of the diagnostic. 01 Engine System description: R4 1.4l TFS Software number: 04E906027HD Software version: 3742 Hardware number: 04E907309BH Hardware version: H26 ODX name: EV_ECM14TFS01104E906027HD ODX version: 001007 Long coding: 01250032232401080000 Trouble codes: P030000 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected Intermittent Date: 2022-01-21 12:59:49 Mileage: 96241 km Priority: 2 Malfunction frequency counter: 3 Unlearning counter: 255 Engine speed: 697.50 1/min Normed load value: 12.9 % Vehicle speed: 0 km/h Coolant temperature: 94 °C Intake air temperature: 39 °C Ambient air pressure: 1030 mbar Voltage terminal 30: 12.863 V Dynamic environmental data: 20965011BE001713F47F4FF40682F4462C10D3000614B405DC P030300 - Cyl.3 Misfire Detected Intermittent Date: 2022-01-21 13:00:18 Mileage: 96241 km Priority: 2 Malfunction frequency counter: 3 Unlearning counter: 255 Engine speed: 697.50 1/min Normed load value: 12.9 % Vehicle speed: 0 km/h Coolant temperature: 94 °C Intake air temperature: 39 °C Ambient air pressure: 1030 mbar Voltage terminal 30: 12.863 V Dynamic environmental data: 209650F4462CF40B1C1010007B14B405DC1199100017460001432100 P030200 - Cyl.2 Misfire Detected Intermittent Date: 2022-01-21 19:40:32 Mileage: 96290 km Priority: 2 Malfunction frequency counter: 1 Unlearning counter: 255 Engine speed: 1842.50 1/min Normed load value: 18.0 % Vehicle speed: 21 km/h Coolant temperature: 91 °C Intake air temperature: 42 °C Ambient air pressure: 1030 mbar Voltage terminal 30: 13.287 V Dynamic environmental data: 209621F4462EF40B331010024A14B4070811990FF917460100432100 My Spark plugs have been changed 40k miles, now car is in 60k miles. I do change the engine oil every 10k miles. Do I have to start worrying or it is just random fault? please advise me as well.

Excessive oil leak and no oil in the engine at all
I did the video of underneath, though it wasn't good but still it can give you little bit of idea about the oil mess.
-
Excessive oil leak and no oil in the engine at all
Yes. It has. I took it off just to see oil filter and so. Can oil sensor make the oil drained! There was no oil left in the pan when i checked with dipstick. I have seen oil all over underneath of the car. There is circular shape something in the middle..it has got oil as well.

Excessive oil leak and no oil in the engine at all
Do you think so! But he failed to show me the old sump and he was even mumbling. What i think is .it was only oil filter which was damaged..i saw it myself that it was bent. No oil i saw in the Oil sump.

Excessive oil leak and no oil in the engine at all
I like your idea and advice cheezemonkhai. I will buy a bottle jack tomorrow and if weather permits I'll go under the car to see and probably will take some photos to share with you. When that guy put the car on the ramp I went under the car but didnt see any damage except the oil filter. He said top part of the Oil Sump got crack because of the impact. But to be honest, It was just little hit on the bump. I wasn't driving fast..just slowly driving over the bump while press holding the foot brake, underneath of the car touched the bump. I heard a noise. It happens to many car, especially with my friend who has MB E-class. I got a feeling that he probably just changed the Oil filter only and that is what was damaged.

Can somebody advice me if i can take any legal action against him? I am just fuming. I trusted him and he took the advantage of my simplicity.

Excessive oil leak and no oil in the engine at all
Yea, it's BMW logo and it's bmw part. I am fuming, why did he cheat with me!!! I will probably go to him tomorrow morning. Thats the oil as well.

Excessive oil leak and no oil in the engine at all
Perfectly right. It is BMW part and it has got BMW logo in it . I just got back home right now and inspected the part. I will never know what was wrong with my Oil tank but he somehow managed to fix it as it appeared to me. I said earlier, I don't trust this guy but i had no other choice other than him as he is local garage.

Excessive oil leak and no oil in the engine at all
I got the car fixed. As i asked him to show me the damaged part, he gave me this part (pics). He also left the leftover oil in the car. I can see that he used 5w-30 oil indeed..but getting confused about the part..is it the right part?

Excessive oil leak and no oil in the engine at all
I agreed with the mechanic for £250 under the condition that he will put 5w-30 oil.. He said he was going out to buy the parts. I am asuming he was going to replace the upper part of the oil sump. But I'll check it out once job is done. By the way, once it is sealed do I need to put the car on rest to get it dry or I can drive after a short time? Breakdown recovered me last night and brought me to the garage that I wanted. they won't take the car anywhere else with the same fault.

Excessive oil leak and no oil in the engine at all
I had my car checked out by the local mechanic. He said the upper part of the oil sump is cracked. So he is gonna change it and seal it. Oil filter will be changed along with oil. He intended to put his garagae stock oil which is 10w-40 or something like that and gave me a quote of £250. car will be ready by 5pm today. I agredd with him under the condition that he has to put 5w-30 oil instead of his Garage's oil. This guy is not very reliable but what to do..I can't take it to somewhere else in this condition of the car. So, I have to have my fingers crossed for him to do the job properly. he said oil didn't contaminet to the belts. Let's hope for the best.

Thanks xman. The engine warning light was orange and it was low engine oil and I drove around 2miles in low speed. I'll get the car checked up tomorrow morning.

Excessive oil leak and no oil in the engine at all
Guys, Bad day again...as I was driving this evening, engine light popped in saying low in engine oil. After driving around couple of miles in the city (20mph) I stopped the car and inspected, Oh my days, Oil all over on the under cover, bottom of the engine and timing belt. I checked with the dipstick and there was no trace of oil at all in the tank. I now remember, last night I hit a hump..it wasn't that hard hit which is why I didnt care..but now I am thinking it could be because of that I messed something in the Oil. Can somebody give me any idea, what could be the potential damage (as i hit the hump) and how much I am looking to get it fixed.. Oh God freezing cold..waiting for recovery lorry to come and take me home.

12V Car accessory socket/cigarette lighter port is always on and Dash Cam
I got what you mean now. you are powering your dash cam from OBD port. But I don't think it's a good idea. I need to do some more research on it. I appreciate your sharing though.

Hi, I have OBD11. would it be possible to do the change with this? Could you tell me more details about this adaptation. I ordered a duo dashcam for £70 but still didnt receive it. I updated nextbase duo's firmware to the latest but still became faulty.
