  1. I got the point and now do not want to change the wheels and tyres anymore. 16inch doesn't look good in this car..So probably I wouldn't go for 16inch either. I will stick what I've got. probably invest some money to upgrade something else. I am open for any recommendation. Just wanna give my car a treat.
  2. Ignore the post. I have managed to get one metal one which looks cool and serve the purpose.
  3. I don't understand it. why should it be uncomfortable? Some of this car has got 16inch wheels and some other variants are with 18inch. if i find a good deal of set of 4 Rim and tyres, and sell my original set..it wouldn't be too much to add
  4. I was thinking other way around. So, if I go for 16inch Rim, then fuel consumption will be less than what its consuming now?
  5. Why not? Are you suspecting it will consume more fuel?
  6. yes. this is the part that you need to replace. I have my post somewhere in this forum..I'll see if I can find .
  7. I always wanted to have bigger wheels in my car. My octavia comes with 17 inch wheels with 225/45 tyres. Can I upgrade them to18inch Wheels with 225/40 tyres. Would they fit in my Octavia SL R? i know Octavia VRS has 18inch wheels.
  8. To be honest, value doesn't get changed but adaptation should have said Successful. Then this error code will not appear anymore.
  9. Thanks guys. What about the red globe sign with key underneath. what is that for? previously it was either green or white.
  10. I think if you can run the diagnostic, you will see the multimedia has fault code.
  11. Guys, Anybody who wants to update the MIB2 firmware, do you know that there will be an error B201A00 in your Multimedia (5f) control unit (if you run the diagnostic) and globe sign in the interface will be red with a lock key underneath. Does anyone know how to fix these issues?
  12. Just wondering if my update went well. I can see little changes on the interface. like map (circled) was green previously and now it is always red. Also functions option were horizontal instead of vertical. Is there any options to revert these changes. i like the way there previously.
  13. Hi, Device part number: 5Q0035874C Hardware: H41 Software: 0456. Can someone PM the updated link plz.
  14. It happened to me as well. I just had mine replaced with an used one and everything is back to normal. very easy to replace.
  15. I've been using for FIVE years. never had any problem.
  16. In OBD11app there are tons of features app available which are already coded (It will also tell you if this feature is for your car or not). You do not need to go to any control module to change the coding to activate those features. Also you can see at a glace what are the potential features your car might have. SOme of the app example are Park Assist Switch Off Speed,Increase Engine Responsiveness, Automatic PDC Activation, Turn Signals Blinks MOde, Taillights aa Brake Lights, Pace-Car indicators "UrbanJoke", Parking Lights on Both Sides. etc.
  17. I always prefer OBD11. It's easy to use and you can do everything with this. Moreover it has got hundreds of App that you can apply to your cars to activate features which I believe VCDS hasn't got.
  18. I've been using OBD11 for five years. it's very nice and user friendly and no hassle of using cable connecting to the computer..you can diagnose your car even when you are driving (NOT RECOMMENDED THOUGH). its just an app. IMO, it's better than VCDS and does same thing as VCDS.
  19. OBD11 is even better than VCDS and its interface is very user friendly. Recently they have taken all the free credits off. It's just crazy.
  20. I wanna prtotect the rear bupmer top from the scratches. is there anyone using any nice and styling protection (metal/plastic) on the top of the rear bumper to avoid any potential scratches? Can you please share me photos and also the link or name of the shop that you got it from. I used one rubber one from aliexpress but it was flimsy and didn't last that long. Now tempted to order metal one just for £13.
  21. Just to update my post, I had figure out what was causing the false misfire (False misfire-cause there was no loss of power or anything) issue. I used to keep OBD2 connected to the port all the time. As i took it off and it's been more than months it is not giving me any false misfire issue. Couple of weeks ago i ran the diagnose and left the OBD2 connected and guess what within two days i got the similar misfire issue. Hence i realise that, OBD2 was the culprit what was causing this issue. So anyone having similar issue, make sure you check your electrical components or gadgets are not causing the issue.
  22. My problem has also not been fixed permanently. its randomly keep coming back. I have changed my Ignitions coils (all of them) December 2021 then couldn't see misfire. Just couple of weeks ago when my stop/start gave me signal that it has got error, I ran the diagnose and found the Cyl3 misfire detected. So this time i changed the spark plugs as my Ignition coils were newer than the plugs. well, I got them changed a week ago and got the Ignition coils swaps. No problem first few days and now yesterday and today i saw the stop/start error. Ran the diagnose and this time two faults. Multiple cylinder as well as cyl3. I was even thinking to ask in this forum tonight about it. This is like pain in the back side.. just to add something here that i don't feel engine is loosing any power. it is just stop/start stops working when misfires detected. Please somebody help us with this mysterious problem.
  23. Very easy. Just need a flat screw driver to take it out of the slot..i did check the youtube video..
