Battery problem again
I can see module 4b and 19 but exactly what info do you need. I did try to perform back up and saw it was done 100% but it didn't give me any option to open up anything. N.B: if i go history I can see all the changements which were made.

Battery problem again
Hey @langers2k, why my High Beam Assistance is showing not enabled. I have enabled it through app in obdeleven. It is always activated unless someone put the headlight in off position. Then i have to re-enable it. Can I toggle this option to enable? What effect will it have, just wondering if you know about it.

Battery problem again
what did you mean by old fault! I had a problem with battery being drained out since one and half week after 1yr and 4mns of purchasing a 75ah battery. Until that time battery was working fine. Did you mean i should try using old USB charger to see if it drains this new battery out. I doubt it will not straightaway. I already gave this USB charger a good clean and tried to see if problems with it is gone or not. but no, problem is still there. So what happens is: I have my mobile charger cable connected in 2.4A port and also dash cam cable connected in another 2.4A port in this triple USB charger (i uploaded pic in on of my previous comments). Both mobile and dash cam are charging as my 12v has always power in it. As I am starting the car, car got a little shaking and mobile get reconnecting with charger(I hear a sound in this point) and dash cam goes off. if i manually powered on the dash cam. same thing will happen when car will stop and starts, i mean mobile will get connection again with audible sound and dash cam will go powered off and i can see a little led light on. With new USB charger, this doesn't happen. it works smoothly ..there is no power cut and reconnection.

Battery problem again
It was charging the phone and dash cam previously..since when it wasn't charging the dash cam during start-stop (i already explained about this and you also commented on it). i didn't notice. As car battery was playing up, i noticed this unusual behaviour. I would have thought that dash cam battery would have been faulty. But I am using different USB charger, it's working smoothly with everything. No disconnect/reconnect happening with it. I kept the Dash cam connected and i can see green led in the dash cam..so it proves other USB charger had problems in it.

Battery problem again
Thanks Graham for explaining everything nicely. But there is no problem with the car. Definitely something was messing with the battery or battery itself was bad batch. I found that my USB was faulty, so It was easy for me to think that USB charger was the culprit.

Battery problem again
It was strange fault! As i said during start-stop dash cam didn't work and mobile used to reconnect for charging every time i had stop and starts.. Battery i have now is ok as per halfords website but it is just 65ah. If my car allows i would prefer to go more powerful one. Halfords guy said my car can not handle 75ah battery..that's what i need to find out whether 75ah is ok for my car or not.

Battery problem again
@langers2kjust wondering what is Light Control Left Light Control Right for? I have changed light control left 2 and light control right 2 what are those other two for. Now back to the original post Battery has been stressed tested to check if alternator is working or not. Result came as Alternator works fine.. So there is no other problem in the car. It was the battery itself damaged by constant draining out by dash cam which was connected toa faulty USB charger..now my concern is this smaller battery..i really don't like it. even these garage people saying it is way too small for my car. So what can I do with this smaller battery from Halfords!

Battery problem again
Yes, "Additional installation detected" wasn't going away. Well, I changed the long code back to where it was. I can change the code again if you want me to as i know how to do basic setting to get rid of Error: headlight range control. See the pic of screenshot

Battery problem again
I know my car. there was no wrong with electrical or anything with it. As I have changed the faulty USB charger everything seems working perfectly fine. in 2018 i had the similar type of issue. I bought a Dash Cam from ebay and left it connected over night in 12v port which drained the battery, that was with old battery with old Octavia (63 plate )anyway. This time with newer battery, I couldn't find any other fault in my car other than faulty USB charger. So, I am guessing this is somehow causing the battery flatten. however, the fault code (Data bus front light_Additional installation detected) I have in my car, I am not completely overlooking it. Cause it's still hard to believe that a dash cam connected with faulty USB charger can cause new powerfull battery to be drained, i would rather say damaged the battery cell, cause the other day when battery went flat, dash cam was discennected. I had my rear coil spring replaced by local garage few months ago. that was the time when my head lamp lavelling sensor was snapped by that garage guy. I didn't know about levelling sensor, as i was driving on the night time, people used to beep on me. So, I was trying to figure out why were they doing it. then someone in this forum said I have a sensor on the back and probably that was snapped during the coil spring removal (which is very common). So, i had to replace and recode by the garage to fix that problem. N.B: before I realising about headlamp levelling sensor being snapped, I tried to fix the beam by obdeleven and that was the time this fault code (Data bus front light_Additional installation detected) generated.

Battery problem again
I have done it and code was accepted but no luck of getting rid off that fault code. Headlight range control warning popped up but I was able to sort it out by basic settings..I am at least happy for that.

Battery problem again
Dash cam and faulty USB charger are to be blamed for battery problem. I am pretty certain about it now. USB charger has been changed, things all are working good now.
-
Battery problem again
I am still scared to apply that code langers2k especially as you are also not sure about it. The headlight range labelling warning is scary..previously I toggled an option which triggered it to pop in then i had to take the car to the same guy who did coding to adjust headlight labelling. Toggle the option back didn't eliminate that headlight range control warning.
-
Battery problem again
That's exactly what i was thinking. Self labelling has been coded should be working. I am not getting honk from other drivers and my headlight low beam is not focusing to sky any more.
-
Battery problem again
wow, where were you all this time! Well, i have to fill my car now as i am running out of fuel..and probably I am gonna give the code a go..but I am guessing self labeling warning will pop up again..

What to do in basic settings though?

Battery problem again
Graham, what information do you need for you to check that my car has LED front and back. When the car was advertised in carshop website it clearly stated about LED and then i cross checked before travelling to Manchester to buy it. I had 1.6tdi same car with halogen ..only reason to upgraded it was LEDs N.B: I might be ignorant about too details of technical information of a car but not that much who can not identify halogen and LED .

Battery problem again
I can copy and paste this long code.i tried to paste it and it works ..but I am scared to do it..previously i tried to fix this problem by changing/toggling options and it brought head light range fault on the maxidot display..

Battery problem again
I can see, it is same option like i mentioned..LED enabling and disabling..look at these screenshots.

Battery problem again
My front and back are LED headlight..i know for sure..simple way to prove is i don't have manual headlight beam adjuster like halogen headlight inside my car. It's not matrix headlight but it is LED headlight.
