I can see something incorrect to me here in long coding in Multicunction module LED Headlight: Not enabled. Just wondering if i change it to enable what may happen?

The link i pasted on the post abobe, I think stephan did the setting unchecked from 19 gateway which cleared his faults. I did some changes in 19 Gateway as well while playing with headlight basic settings (someone recommended me here in this forum while i had headlight issue) , probably thats where I need to go back to change the settings or uncheck something which i don't know .

I don't get any flat battery with this newly replaced (2days ago) less powerful battery by halfords which I and you are not happy about. I Just I couldn't take that the other battery (75ah) which was a year and four months old can go faulty. hence we were trying to pin point the fault of the car.

I went to few battery and alternator experts (this is what they claimed anyways) this morning. Almost everybody tested the battery with voltameter and said alternator is fine. one of them even took the Positive terminal off while the car engine was running to establish that the alternator is working fine. So, yes alternator seems working fine. point to be noted here that the fault code in the car obdeleven was not occured by the car. it was by me while trying to fix the headlight label. What I can think now is, dash cam is draining the battery and I will keep it unpluged when I am leaving the car. As I am using the new USB charger I can see dash cam is always on even if I leave the car overnight. and ofcourse my previous battery was faulty or became weak because the dash cam was constantly drainig the battery.

Thanks Graham Butcher for explaining it nicely. I didn't watch those videos as of now but planning to watch them. My dash cam was always connected with the car and it never flateen the battery up until 1yr and 4mnts..so problem started after 1yr and 4mnts time since the new battery was fitted. now the dash cam or even interior light or parking light is draining the battery which cause car not to be started. does it not sound strange! I spoke to the auto electricial people that i said I am going to take my car to, but I am afraid they will be not much helpful for me..they can just check the alternator with the battery. they don't know coding. I can not find any other hope. I went to volkswagen expert in North London last year and they appeared to be dodgy to me. I can go to them and they wil be charging me £140 to diagnose and put the car in factory coding. He, can not gurantee if it will fix the problem, but he said it will take the car back to the stage when the car left the production. So, I don't know where to go..SKODA people will have long time waiting.

I am trying to say misfire and start-stop problem are linked somehow in my case. So I am suspecting my USB charger in 12v port got something to do with it. even if I have my OBDeleven device connected in the OBDport for long time I get false misfire. you can ask me how do I know that there was a misfire. well, Start-stop doesn't work and shows Start-stop error, then I run the diagnostic and it detects nothing but cyl 3 misfire or both cyl 3 and random cyl misfire. The summary is: when start-stop doesn't work (shows error) in my car that means there was misfire.

But in my car even with original battery it was always the case. when i had start-stop problem, i had the false misfire detected. No other problem but misfires.

Cyl 3 and random cyl misfire will not occure again until start-stop shows error which was causing probably/highly likely by the usb charging device. I can delete these cyl misfires but I wanna leave this for auto electrician . and the other codes from multifunction module can not be deleted.

Thanks everybody for trying to help me pin pointing the problem. guys, no body mentioned about the USB Charger. Can it not cause all the problems ( in case it has come in contact with liquid when dash cam and mobile charger cables were conneted). Today I used another spare USB charger after cleaning the 12v port with electrical contact cleaner spray and surprisingly noticed that my dash cam is not getting powered off with start-stop which was not the case with usual USB charger (which was always connected in the port). Now with this new battery, it is working fine with start-stop. but couple of times there were start-stop error occured. Diagnostic detected cyl3 and random misfire. I know already if there is start-stop error, there must be misfire detected which is always the case in my car. after restarting the car the problem goes away and start-stop works normal. Anyway, I think I'll have my car checked up with local electrician who is expert on battery, alternator, start-stop problem and so on. I know for sure there is no electrical problem in my car, but well, those two modules (accidently activated) were always bugging me. who knows if they were draining the battery as someone already suggested here. following are the dignostic result underneath if anyone knows how to disable those two modules. How to test the battery myself! Can I use OBDEleven to do that? As an example put the car in access mode and turn everythng off. then keep an eye on the battery volt

I wouldn't know how to do this. Well, the guy who did coding for the headlight levelling sensor, he said these false error is not related to anything. So don't worry about them. But for me i really don't wanna see them jf possible.

There is no electrical problem in the car that I have ever encountered. OBDeleven had authentication issue which they asked for the code few weeks ago..OBDeleven started working on the same day. it had authentication problem. So, they suggested me to uninstall and reinstall the app and restart the phone. and started working. Last year on April i drove to Netherlands...and we went to a a shop to buy some groceries in there. as we came out of the shop, car wasn't starting. I had to jump start with the I had in my boot from some stranger's car. Well, that was with the original battery and I replaced it as soon as we got back to London. This time we went to Germany and before going to Germany battery started playing. but this time battery is fairly new. the fault i have is something different, I mentioned in this thread already. this is 'Data bus front light'. when i had my rear coil springs replaced months ago, local garage guy accidently snapped the sensor for the headlight leveling. so LED Module Left (D6) and LED Module Right (D7) accidently being activated during some coding (which can not be deleted). I have a thread about it. I'll be happy if you can help me how to disable this two modules. I am guessing the previous battery was faulty. It is hard to believe for me as well. I am ended up getting new weaker battery 65ah (Halfords EFB013), Original (which came with car was 69ah). the one I bought on the first place was 75ah (Halfords EFB096). I can not be very happy tbh. when I negotiated with halfords guys, they said if I wanted they could replace the battery with similsar size (75ah) but they will not take any responsiblities if it goes wrong again. As their system said, 65ah is the right battery for me so, I have to go for that one. I checked halfords website and they were right it recommended battery is Halfords EFB013. I found a website where i can buy YBX YUASA battery just for £115. N.B: Dashcam doesn't work. stat stop doesn't allow the dash cam working. everytime car kick starts from stop the dash cam goes shuto down. It was working previously. I googled and found if parking mode is activated then it will behave like that, so disabled parking mode but no luck. I am guessing it is problem with dash cam. I updated the firmware as well and tried with different power cable in the car but no luck. Yes, battery is charging, I can see.

I noticed something different with my new battery..i have been driving for 3hrs in the city and had my obdeleven connected, but didn't see battery is charging which would not be the case with my old battery.old battery was alwats having cargi g sign in it .does it mean the old battery was really faulty?

I didn't see his screen..but definitely he connected the machine and therefore something already changed in Battery adaptation..like manufacturer name and also serial number. What makes you think that i have electrical fault in my car. Can the battery be not faulty!

Guys, we are going out of the topic. Please we are here just to help each other.. don't take everything personal.. Anyways, i came to halfords and the guy inspected the battery again and found the battery is ok as usual..Finally, he checked his system and said it was not the right battery..so he replaced it with a smaller one which has only 65ah even size is smaller than original one. Battery sleeve doesn't even doesn't fit. I am not very happy about it..but they said they have go to by according to their system.. N.B: i checked the coding and that is not right, but i saw the guy used obd tool to do coding..so it's confusing now.

To book the car with skoda is not so easy..they have quite a long back log almost everywhere in London..I should suspect either the battery or alternator..there is nothing else wrong with the car..i m pretty sure.

I am not talking about to start the car right now..talking about how can i fix it once and for all and what do you suspect is faulty?

This is really insane..We went to day out trip to Bibury and in the way back to London car broken down with flat battery in Membury West Service station right now. I didn't keep anything plugged in in 12v port to avoid battery problem. But still battery went flat..called break down service, reluctant to spend £20 to buy jump start cable unnecessary. I don't know whether the battery is the problem or Alternator..if i go to halfords tomorrow morning they will be saying battery is ok..probably alternator is the problem...what can I do to sort this problem immediately? I can see live data through OBDeleven if anybody can advise me to test the alternator.. N.B: battery got 5yrs warranty and i am in 1yr 4mnts now. Can't believe battery can get faulty in this small amount of time.

It seems start-stop working perfectly fine now and checked the coding couple of times after restarting the car each time. Coding is not changed. I think during the jump start coding has been changed as someone said in this thread that negative terminal has not to be connected with battery instead in metal in the car.(I'll remember this for the next time). or may have been halfords guy didn't do it properly. I also scanned the car, no fault code was detected (cyl 3, random cyl misfire etc). Only problem is when the car starts from stop, it gives a tiny little jolt and reconnecting the mobile charger and dash cam. in this process dash cam gets powered off. Don't know why! but anyways, its cheap dash cam and also problem could be with it's cable. I am happy that there is nothing wrong with ignition coil pack and spark plugs. fingers crossed this misfire and star-stop problem is not coming back.

So, do you think battery coding is wrong or somehow it went back to original battery coding i had previously?

I have found how to code battery by OBDeleven. Information there I can see, seems wrong to me. Especially Rated battery capacity..it says 69Ah, but my battery capacity is 75Ah, Serial number i managed to check from the side of the battery is 10528018, but in the coding is totally different. battery manufacturer i am not sure. Could someone check if the coding/info is right or wring. The battery i bought was EFB096 from halfords .

I think, its definitely battery is faulty. I have been driving since 4hours and no power loss,nothing. start-stop is activated but it is not stopping. It says vehicle power consumption is high. Ac is off in luding fan. I kept on looking at the battery status in my OBDeleven.. i saw it is charging..and volt was jumping from 13 to 14.8 and stable in 13..halfords should replace the battery..

OBDeleven is not connecting with the device from today. I tried to rescan to delete the error of misfireings which wasn't deleting yesterday. I sent email to the custoemr care dept for OBDEleven. anyways, I tried everything, I mean my ac/fan/mobline charging everything was off, but still it didn't work for start-stop. yesterday the fault was not even deleting about misfires...so I was guessing if the misfire is genuine or not and if it is the case for start-stop being not working! NB: I forgot to add something. As i had my dash cam connected with the mains in the house, i never saw it switched off which is not the case in the car..in the car if it is long drive, i can see the dash cam goes off. so does it mean my alternator is not charging the battery and therefore dash cam can not have enough power supply. The halfords guy said alternator kicks in after 1-2 hrs long drive.
