  1. What is this Yellow or Red you are talking about ? Do you have a website link ? It seems to be 2 different bushings that can be replaced in the dog bone.... Which one should I change, the small or the large or both ? I would also definitely prefer a solid bushing instead of some kind of insert. https://www.vibra-technics.co.uk/skoda/octavia_mk2_1z_04_13/666/VAG455B/torque_link_dogbone_bush_small_end Does any of the more performance-oriented models have better/stronger dogbone bushings ? Audi TT Scirocco Golf GTI Leon Cupra Octavia VRS
  2. What ET do you have on the 8,5" rear rims ?
  3. On wife's Octavia-II SCOUT 1,8 TSI SUMMER: Skoda factory approved tyre size: 225/50 x 17" WINTER: Tyre size: 205/55 x 17" ( studded )
  4. Any pictures ? Wife has an ( 2012 ) Octavia-II SCOUT 1.8 TSI ( 6-speed manual ) and it also have a very noticeable squeek in and outside the car when starting/shifting in 1'st or 2'nd gear.
  5. OK, but do you have a list of what parts and what part #'s that are involved ?
  6. It is not possible via VCDS to do that.
  7. Can anyone explain where the air bleeding points on the 1.8 TSI and 2.0 TSI engines are ? ( I need to get rid of air that are trapped in the cooling system. )
  8. THANK YOU Carlston so much. It helped me a lot !
  9. It all started a week ago when I experienced the heat in the car as unsatisfactory. I then keyed out the oil temperature in the trip computer and then discover contradictory information about water temperature and oil temperature from the car. In my opinion, the oil temperature should follow the water temperature somewhat. But according to the trip computer, the engine has a very low oil temperature compared to what I am used to from other VAG cars I have had before. So I suspect sensor error, the only question is which !?!?
  10. Car is a 2012. I have found the following on exploded views:
  11. Octavia-II Face Lift with Manual gearbox. 1. How many Temperature Sensors have the 1.8 TSI / 2.0 TSI engines ? ( Both water and oil temperature sensors ) 2. And where are they located ? I have found a "GREY" 2-pole sensor that sits on the thermostat housing, but there should be at least a few more, as well as oil temperature sensor. 3. What does the "GREY" sensor send signal to ?
  12. I will match the new brake pads with new ZIMMERMANN brake discs on wife's Octavia-II. I have only good experiences with FERODO Premier brake pads and have always been very satisfied with them. Have them on many of the family's VAG cars. That's why I chose them again.
  13. Bought new brake pads today for my wife's ( 2012 ) Octavia-II, but was surprised when I opened the box tonight and see that only one of the inner brake pads has brake wear sensor. Should not both inner brake pads have wear sensors ? 🤔
  14. What are the VAG part # for this repair kit ?
  15. I managed to get the studded winter tires on in time a couple of days ago and today the snow came. 🥶 ❤️ I love Winter ❤️ Now we will have snow until the middle of May. ⛷️ ( Michelin X-Ice North-4 , 205/55x17" )
  16. I have mounted AUDI OEM rims on wife's SKODA and would like to get hold of SKODA wheel center caps for them. 🤔 Anyone know a SKODA set that fits ? 🤔 Audi part # 8E0 601 025 Model: AVUS Size: 17"
  17. In what way are the Audi TT-2 different ? Front Arms ? Picture ? There seem to be 3 different models of bushings for the Lower-Inner Rear Control Arm: 1. Standard Alignment bushing. 2. Steering-Pull Correction bushing. 3. Anti-Lift and Caster Increase bushing. Can someone explain in detail what the advantages and disadvantages of these 3 different bushings are ? Because English is not my spoken language, I do not really understand the technical terms and what they mean in practical terms... Can anyone explain in detail to me ?
  18. 🤔 Anyone here know anything about using the VW Passat B6/B7 Lower Control Arm in Aluminum on Skoda Octavia-2 ( VW Golf-5/6 ) ? 🤔 ( Ignore the talk about the bushings, my question only concerns the Lower Control Arm itself in Aluminum ) Quote: If your Golf-5/6 is experiencing clunking noises, shaking steering wheel, wandering front suspension or just general poor road feel it may be time to replace your front control arm bushings. A common item to wear out on all VW's, the factory rubber bushings degrade over time, especially when faced with rough road conditions, age or mileage and lowered suspensions, the front control arm bushings play a critical road in proper road feel and handling of your vehicle. If it's time for a replacement, don't settle for stock: Introducing this Upgraded, Lightweight Aluminum Lower Control Arm Kit with pre-installed ECS Polyurethane bushings, for a very simple install! These control arms upgrade your stock stamped steel or cast steel arms to the lightweight aluminum control arms from the VW Passat's B6/B7 front suspension. They are an OE-style plus upgrade but offer the following benefits: Lightweight Aluminum Control Arms: Corrosion resistant aluminum. 4,1 Kg. combined weight savings over cast steel arms for faster, more responsive suspension operation. Enhanced structural rigidity: less deflection over stamped steel arms. Polyurethane Bushings: Higher load bearing capacity. Less deflection for more stable suspension geometry. Greater tear strength. Greater resistance to environmental wear like water, salt and sand. A comprehensive upgrade kit made for you, tested and proven in real world conditions. This kit includes the following: Lightweight Aluminum Control Arms. Pre-Installed ECS Polyurethane Control Arm Bushings. VW Golf-5/6 Aluminum Control Arm Bushing Housings with Pre-Installed ECS Polyurethane Arm Bushings. // ECS

  21. I have problem with Oil consumption. EA888 Gen-2 Engine uses 0,5 Lit / 1000 Km. 😡 Engine build date: 2011-09-11 I use 100 % fully synthetic engine oil, 5w-40, VW Norm: 502.00 Running max 15000 Km between oil & filter changes. My engine: 151 000 Km. Engine build date: 2011-09-11 What should I watch out for ? What parts should I replace ? My engine is 100 % dry on the outside but have a oil drinking problem inside...... 😇 Can someone explain what this PCV Fine oil separator is ? Any information about this ?
  22. So the VAG dealer can do it ? 🤔 So the dealer has ready-made software ( from Factory ) for different steering resistances as well as linear or progressive action at higher speeds ?
  23. If I understood the matter correctly, it should be possible to adjust the electromechanical power steering with VCDS so that you get lighter or heavier steering. And that you can choose linear or progressive resistance. Can anyone explain how to do ? (I have my own VCDS equipment)
