My 719 miles in a 360bhp Superb is more impressive.

I have been given a Citigo and a 1.0TSi Fabia as courtesy cars before and the Fabia was far nicer to drive. The Citigo reminded me of our Picanto with it's flimsy construction so not something I would ever buy.

Busy day so far washed my car in the lovely Spring like sunshine walked to ALDI to do our weekly shop (2 miles) and did the 40km in 1 hour 33 minutes and 30 seconds and went past 45,000 calories in the process. Day 58 totals now 79 hours 35 minutes and 2 weeks ahead of target (March 9th) 2,000km. Time to relax this afternoon.

Talking of Energy Consumption from April everyone in the UK will be paying more per month for Gas and Electricity as the energy providers have been allowed to put up their consumer prices. We have already had an e-mail from British Gas with the good news (for them).

Glad I bought a diesel then. Anyone seen the Joe Achilles video where he drives all over England during Lockdown (published 09/01/2021) in his soon to be returned BMW 7 Series diesel (261bhp) and fills the 78 litre (17.15 gallon) tank with Shell Premium diesel at £1.389 per litre and then drives 900 miles which works out at 52.4mpg or 12 pence per mile. He should have tried it in my Superb because I did 889 miles on less than 66 litres using Sainsbury's diesel at £1.169 per litre which works out 8.6 pence per mile. He would have saved himself £31.

Owners intial comments on his BMW 140i
Perhaps he is entering the 2021 BTCC with that wrap. Bet they have a giggle if he can afford a proper service at a BMW dealer. Wow that launch control was impressive as he deployed the 480bhp I wonder if he left the handbrake on because my 150PS diesel would disappear before he starts moving.

2021 F1 Discussion
And look where the driver's leg would be not very driver safety focused back then. I see race 3 now in Portugal then onto Spain a week later and then off to Monaco for race 5. Three days testing in Bahrain before the first race at the end of March with Australia moved back to November.

In the UK we call those wheel linings, whereas a wheel well is the spare wheel position.

No the 272 had 283bhp as standard to deal with so comes with the beefier DQ381 from the Golf R but it only had 369nm as standard so had an extra 145nm of torque to deal with but apparently they can even take 600nm. Not sure what the limit on your 6 speed box but people on here have already done this work on similar cars to yours.

Some days you just feel awesome. This afternoon went past 44,000 calories on my way to a best of 1,769 calories after 3 hours 1 minute 30 seconds. Managed a total of 78km (49 miles) at an average of almost 26kph (uphill). Huge adrenaline rush as I was sprinting for the last couple of minutes at 80rpm on the pedals. Will have a much easier day tomorrow with a target of 40km in around 1 hour 30 minutes. Day 57 totals now 78 hours 1 minute 30 seconds and 1,960km.

My last 2 petrol engined Skoda's had 517nm and 514nm to cope with a Vrs245 with 6 speed manual gearbox and Superb 272 with 7 speed DSG and had no issues with either covering some 38,000 miles (60,000km) since 2017 until buying my current 150PS diesel which may get the treatment if I get bored with the 135mph top speed.

My Third MK3 Superb But The First Diesel
Back in the Superb this Friday for 3 days commuting which should take me from the current 444 miles on tank number 4 to around 600 miles then 3 nights in the wife's Karoq as it hasn't done many miles since the annual MOT in January and need to keep the battery topped up. Range left is showing 550 miles so could get close to 1,000 miles on this tank if the weather stays mild as the last two journeys saw 72 and 73mpg. Since refueling average shown is 66.6mpg and as it tends to be about 5% optimistic the actual is probably about 63mpg corrected. Will find out in March as no fuel been needed in February just like last November when I was also on Holiday.

Welcome @Katarsisto Briskoda. Nice car to start your Skoda journey with. Usually a custom map gives around an extra 40bhp on a modern turbo diesel and that is the route to go down having done it many times myself. My last stage 1 map on a diesel saw it climb from 147bhp to 186bhp and torque go from 246 to 317lb/ft on a 2013 Octavia 150PS model. Your 190PS engine should make about 227bhp or 230PS and over 500nm of torque.

Never seen carpet in a Skoda wheel well. Sometimes it's not even painted in the body colour to save money so regardless of the colour you have chosen it might arrive finished in primer grey.

Different approach today with 4 sessions of 9km so far this morning so 36km already in 83 minutes and around 810 calories. Update later and this could be a one day record for me if I can continue at this rate.

Audi RS3 2015 -Anticipate some detail on price and spec soon. Delivery due mid 2015
Looks good but depends on how ambitious they are with the price and will it have 335/362/395bhp. Should sound good with the 5 cyclinder warble under the bonnet. That engine has always been high on emissions and therefore VED will be high and fuel consumption not good in an SUV body.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Don't worry @elfensin they put something in the water in Sheffield and some cope better than others with the side effects.

When is the new kodiaq out?
Not too much of a surprise on some Kodiaq models getting Matrix LED headlights and dynamic scrolling rear indicators as my 2020 FL Superb SEL gets those as standard already.

Sasha’s Superb SportLine Plus
Just noticed the rear KESSY door handles on my FL hatch and they are as useful as the electric tailgate and something which Skoda should have fitted to my wife's SEL Karoq. Love the virtual dash and the DSG also plus the Canton and I realised that toys are more desirable than performance at the end of the day. Good price for estate has it done a few miles ?
