I have the 150TDI manual in my Tarraco and we covered 2500 miles across Europe fully loaded (no towing or roofbox) a few weeks ago without any issues. It's more than sufficient, Uphill in Austria and Slovenia on the motorway it didn't even think of having to change down to 5th gear. As other have stated with the 190 you will get 4x4 and DSG which impacts tax, fuel and other servicing costs. You can easily stage1 tune the 150 TDI to 190-220BHP and 450Nms if you really want at Revo. Fully loaded = 4 passengers, 4 suitcases, 50l fridge, and then all stuffed to the roof with various bags no gaps left

What does TPI stand for?
-
Yep, exactly that

I never put any stickers on even when I had halogen lamps. I only used to drive on motorways in the EU and just lowered the lights all the way on the internal switch

Yes only EU and Contract Hire additionally a V103. Remember you don't own the car until paid off and PCH you never do just rent.

After a 2500 mile round trip to Croatia and back I can say the Tarraco is brilliant. Has been faultless!

Driving to Croatia , Island of Krk

Just to add, the car performed brilliantly over 2700 miles. Not a drop of oil used. The average consumption was around 7.5l per 100Kms or 37MPG. We were loaded up and I am not hanging around and always just above the speed limits so 140km/h in France, Austria and Slovenia and cruising at 150/160 in Germany with stints of 180kmh were traffic allows/ -

Its great fun if you’re not in a Rush. Funnily enough I just saw a Russian plate Fabia with a massive roof box in Croatia. Must have been a hell of a drive. -

Really good. No bad accidents and hold ups and the road were relatively free flowing in Germany. We went though France in the end. Costs about 50 euro but great Roads and no traffic at all. We Are driving back tomorrow but will stop for the night in Strasbourg as the timing of the Train across the channel is such that we either have to drive pretty much from Midnight till next afternoon to hit it on time or drive the day and sleep over and then do the last stretch through France in the morning. I paid the tolls for Austria online so they scan your Plate. France is toll Booths and Slovenia a stick on vignette. Are you Planning to do it? -
And from the SEAT Tarraco as well

Ah ok, sorry

We are driving to Croatia on Saturday 3AM to board a Channel Tunnel TRain at 5:20AM. Usually I just go up from Calais in to Belguim, then around Brussels into Luxembourg, fill the car up, then down the B10 slow stretch into Germany, Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Munich A8, Salzburg, Villach, Ljubljana, then down to POstojna and into Croatia, 1070Miles. I am thinking maybe I should try Reims, Metz, Strasbourg this year. I know it's a tolled road but is it any quieter or better than the Belgium/Luxembourg route (the pavement in quite bad in places and it's very busy) never driven on it before?

I test drove the new Mazda 6 tourer, Octavia vRS Estate and Superb Estate Sportline before buying a SEAT Tarraco The Mazda is nowhere near the size of the Superb (internally) Compared to the Octavia Estate you will have less rear legroom and a smaller boot, so the Octavia is definitely bigger than the Mazda 6 Estate (internally). However I felt the (new) Mazda 6 is more refined than the Octavia, in both ride comfort (even on the 19 inch rims) and road noise.

No, the Tarraco is made in Wolfsburg in Germany
-
Well all the SEAT marketing said the Tarraco is rolling of the same production line in Wolfsburg as the Tiguan (maybe it's just the normal one) My Tarraco's VIN confirms Wolfsburg https://www.volkswagenag.com/en/news/2018/10/seat-tarraco-production-starts-in-wolfsburg.html
-
Yes Wolfsburg
-
Reset the light setting as advised above
-
Looks like the Tarraco has gone up by almost 2K across the range for the MY20 prices. Glad I got it when I got it.
-
correct, dealers etc are just middle men pointing you at finance houses and getting commission for it

What's the 150 TDI like on oil for long constant journeys? How old is your car? Is it the Euro6Temp with SCR and Stop/Start?

TSI 320 Nm torque TDI 150 340NM TDI 190 400Nm I Have the 150 diesel manual on 19s rims. It handles very well, the suspension has a strong rebound, most noticeable over speed humps but it's overall very comfortable, Don't get the 1.5 TSI at the moment whatever you decide. xcellence is the sweet spot in the range but obviously not an option if you want leather seats you need xcellence Lux, I am not a fan of leather so the alcantaca , cloth. fake leather combo 'sport' seats is very nice and comfy. Also, I think only the leather seats are electric, the other have no option. For me not important

I test drove a TSI 4drive DSG 190 at SEAT Store Westfield. Very nice and smooth but with the 20 inch rims. I have 19s and it's a bit softer.
