Brief Electrical Power Outage (Infotainment System)
Interesting post. Tonight driving home the infotainment went off, abs fault, traction control, acc, and I think the other was cornering light fault. Lights aswell as messages on dash. Heavy steering. Shortly afterwards it all cleared. Happened 4 or 5 times in 15mins. Also 2018 superb. I had just picked car up from garage after getting new shock absorbers fitted. Wondered if there is a need to unplug anything whilst doing this job?

- Ignition - Start/Stop button
I have started seeing a problem with the ignition stop/start button on my 2018 280. It can work first time or it can take half a dozen attempts to actually turn the ignition on or start the engine. Has anyone experienced the same and a have a solution for it? There are new batteries in the key fob so I know its not that. Im worried that it might stop working all together and leave me stranded.- 280 TSI 2018 Exhaust valve making a buzzing noise
Used a Centre punch, drilled it out. Will replace with M4 or M5 bolt. Going to get some of those plastic dome covers.- 280 TSI 2018 Exhaust valve making a buzzing noise
I know I was shocked when it arrived, then I checked ad and it was for one. Should get them cheaper next time though if this supplier can help. Good news is the exhaust is back on, went on no problem today after emery cloth the hanger and then fairy liquid on the both them and rubbers. Fresh muscle this morning.- Suspension Upgrade
Hadn't thought about that. Do you know the correct parts, may aswell change these at the same time.- 280 TSI 2018 Exhaust valve making a buzzing noise
Actually all in with tax and international delivery it was £69. That is one for only! Come with 3 new nylok nuts.- 280 TSI 2018 Exhaust valve making a buzzing noise
I used some pengaurd on them before dinner but think they were past that point. I'm going to need to find a way today or my car is off the road lol. I have one side up on a ramp of sorts The link for the springs is in this thread, posted by another user. Cost me approx £45 which is a fraction compared to a new unit or exhaust. For sure it's a job you want to tackle yourself or your local garage. Labour cost would be high or they would just tell you it's damaged and needs a whole new rear silencer. Will hopefully have some other options for the spring which I will post up when I get them.- What have you done to your Superb III today?
OK thanks, have cleaned it up and will monitor. Since I paid off my PCP things are starting to break 😂- What have you done to your Superb III today?
Got my air con recharged, what a difference. Car is 5 years old also noticed a leak under the bonnet, looks like something to do with alternator. Is this possible?- Suspension Upgrade
Just ordered Bilstein B6 for my 280 combi. Went through Bilstein UK to get right parts. Local garage is going to fit them as soon as they arrive. Looking forward to getting rid of the bounce- 280 TSI 2018 Exhaust valve making a buzzing noise
So it's been a while. I managed to get a spring from the US, in that time the other side started making the same buzzing sound. Tonight I decided to take one off and have a look. I had to drop the rear exhaust off the hangers. The actuator is held on with 3 nylok nuts on welded studs that are part of the back box. All but one were badly corroded. 8mm socket got one off. Vice grips gots a another had to dremel the last one. Unplugged and took off. Sure enough spring is snapped inside. Checked the other side and one of the studs snapped. Had to drill it out. Same again, snapped. I'm in touch with someone who might be able to supply the spring so haven't fitted the new one yet. At least I know it definetly is the issue and how to do it. Problem I have now is trying to get the exhaust back on the rubber mounts. Any tips???????? , maybe a little tired now but cant get the bloody things in.- What are these Alloys?
Do the supernova 19" alloys use the same tyres as the standard 19" TSI Vega alloys? The supernova are a nice wheel but would like to move to a cheaper tyre size if possible- 280 TSI 2018 Exhaust valve making a buzzing noise
Nice, will take a look. Thanks.- 280 TSI 2018 Exhaust valve making a buzzing noise
In the last couple of weeks before I get in my car or wen i get out I have noticed that one of the exhaust valves is making a buzzing sound. It repeats this every 2-3 mins. Due to weather I haven't spent anytime on the ground watching the position of the valve. Has anyone experienced similar issues , what should I look out for? Should the valve be open or closed on cold start up and does its position change in sport mode when warm.- Front Grille replacement
Has anyone fitted the grill surround that is black and red from Kopacek. Think its called the devil edition. Interested to see how it looks. Superb III - grille frame painted in BLACK MAGIC / RED grille frame - DEVIL edition : SUPERSKODA.COM (kopacek.com)- Need new front brakes/pads Question?
Just changed my discs and pads a few weeks ago. Very simple job to do pads. Discs needed a little muscle. For info my pads had done 37.5k and were the lowest i have ever found on one of my cars. Sensor warning never activated so must still be a little left. Definitely check the remaining pad surface for yourself and if not needed now set a reminder to check in a few months. Too many garages inventing work.- 280 4x4 Front brakes
I thought the Golf R /S3/280 all had the same 340mm brakes. But someone here will know for sure.- Phone holders for a superb

They certainly look the part. I'm looking at ordering the Zimmerman coated disc's I think.- 280 4x4 Front brakes
Yes, I do quite a bit of driving on country lanes which means alot of slowing and accelerating. Rear brakes were changed at 35k which surprised me. Thinking must be related to the automatic cruise control.- 280 4x4 Front brakes
37.5k and huge lip on disc's, squealing. Got advisory on mot few months ago and checked myself and thought I might get away with pads. But last few weeks big difference in stopping ability so just going with both.- 280 4x4 Front brakes
I have just recently changed from vredestein quatrac pro to Michelin cross climate 2's. Hate the Tyre size on this car 😂- 280 4x4 Front brakes
Sorry meant grooved and vented- 280 4x4 Front brakes
Thanks for the heads up. I was quite happy with standard brakes but liked the look of the vented disc's. - Ignition - Start/Stop button
