  1. I have a 2 Citigo's, a newer one which uses the Move & Fun app whilst the other came with the Garmin PID. Yes, the app is good but is pants IMHO compared with the PID they originally came with.
  2. Resetting the system is the only way to put the warning light out. Like I said, there's nothing wrong with the tyre pressures, just an over zealous sensor
  3. No real need for this, I know why the warning light comes on, the tyres have heated up and that is the only reason. It is far too sensitive on my Citigo 😞
  4. Mine has come on a handful of times and is a complete pain as initially when it pops up you assume you've got a puncture or something and quickly pull over. Every time I've checked tyre pressures and they're all still fine. The only link I've found is in each case it being a cold day and it comes on after 20 or so miles when your tyres have really warmed up and I guess the air inside has expanded altering the pressure. If I could disable it I would.
  5. Yep, everyone is entitled to an opinion but if it's different to mine I will block you so I can't be offended. EV's are the future but we're not there yet and VW are pulling the wool over people eyes by introducing a 'new' range of EV city cars in the body of a 7 year old model and charging a premium well beyond the petrol version. VW execs are probably right now sitting in an office chuckling to themselves. They've introduced a 'new' car at comparatively little expense in order to jump on the green bandwagon and have plucked a price out of the air knowing my taxes will help bring the price down for their loyal customers. All those that don't like the cold, hard truth feel free to block me and I hope you enjoy your overpriced, out of date car that I've helped pay for.
  6. Yep, vastly overpriced and through tax you are paying for the government subsidy anyway. Yes it's green but from a financial point of view you are unlikely to ever recoup the extra cost. To cover the mileage required to break even a small city car is not the car for you and I don't think it would be possible to do the mileage as you'd spend most of the year with it plugged in charging. By all means buy one but you're kidding no one by claiming it is cheaper, quieter, quicker etc. The only claim with any substance is acceleration from 0-30 mph but if I was looking for a performance car I wouldn't be buying a Citigo and putting your foot down to achieve the claimed performance is hardly 'green'. I fear people are looking at the new Citigo, Mii and Up with 'green' tinted glasses rather than what they are actually getting and what EV's could be.
  7. I was just interested in case I ever needed to find them. We've 2 Citigo's, a 62 plate and a 66. They are very easy to spot on the 62 plate as the plastic surround around the wipers is different. They're right in the corners of the bulkhead/inner wing. Shrouded in darkness on the later car and you can't see them.
  8. I've been in a number of electric cars and, yes, they're quiet when sitting at traffic lights but then again so it my Citigo with start stop. Otherwise no noticeable difference at all and especially not enough to justify the cost of the car and limited range. As I've already said EV's are the future but they are nowhere near there yet.
  9. So what, so is my petrol Citigo. It's also fast and quiet enough. It's also cheap to run and insure and doesn't come with such a high up front cost when buying. and who knows what costs servicing will eventually incur especially when the battery starts to lose its edge as all rechargeable batteries do. I am also very skeptical of claimed range as manufacturers have a habit of lying and tests are done in laboratory conditions, not real life. The VW group claim 180 miles but for the next few months I would be driving to work in the dark and returning home in the dark where it is cold and raining. I reckon the claimed range will be hit when it's constantly used with lights on, wipers going and heater on. EV's are the future but the technology isn't there yet and manufacturers are using us as gineapigs to do all the testing for them and pay for the privilege. An electric Citigo will not make my life easier or most cost effective in any way. That may not be the politically correct reason for switching to electric but will be the deal breaker for most despite what they claim regarding climate change.
  10. Weird, same year but 20 seconds on mine but quicker when stationary. It does suggest Skoda have varied the hardware that times it.
  11. Yep, I find I have to use the flick wipe on a regular basis. The frustrating bit is when the wipers are going continually and you stop as they then slow to a sensible intermittent speed!
  12. Howdy, Is it possible to alter the speed of the intermittent feature of the wipers? My Citigo is a 66 plate and 20 seconds between swipes makes the feature virtually redundant. My sons 62 plate is 10 seconds so there evidently is some room for change.
  13. I have, it's easy but it's boring. Far less driver involvement. I know we don't all need to drive hundreds of miles a day, I don't, but sometimes I do. Is it cheap to maintain? If the battery fails you may as well bin the car and I have to chuckle at the green ideals behind an electric car which uses electricity created by fossil fuel power stations and don't get me started on the enviromental damage caused during its construction, especially the battery . There just isn't the infastructure to make it viable yet either having to travel out of your way to find charging points.
  14. I know it's cool to be green but if I had £20k to spend on a car to replace my current Citigo it wouldn't be with one of these. £20k for a small car boggles my mind. Ok for around town but I met up with a mate at the weekend from Bristol up in London. He swears by his Zoe but before leaving had to plan his route and where he could stop to keep topping the batteries up. Any savings seem to offset by the cost of coffee etc whilst sitting in motorway service stations as over 2 hours was added to his journey time for charging. Not for me until battery technology makes some giant advances.
  15. I'm assuming you've paired the phone with the car via Bluetooth?
  16. Tap on the magnifying glass top right and you can search for the address.
  17. Not had a problem with the keyboard but the previous destinations is a right pain. You could delete them on the PID but can't on the app. I had so many I had no choice but to reinstall the app!
  18. In answer to your original question I guess it would require a bit of rewiring to enable the windows to operate with the ignition off. It'll probably be easier just to flick the ignition back on...
  19. Learn something new every day. I've just had a tot up and have had 11 cars with electric windows and they all needed the ignition on. Perhaps the Fabia had a fault
  20. I think every car I've ever had with electric windows has needed to have the ignition on even if the engine's not running to operate them.
  21. The later models that use the app still have a SD card slot but fuel computer etc is part of the app. Basically the app has the same functions as the PID. You can also use the USB socket to plug an MP3 player or memory stick in.
  22. I guess it could but would need some rewiring, removing the USB socket etc. We've 2 Citigo's, one with a PID and one with the phone app and from what I can see the PID's cradle has different fittings to the phone holder so some work on the dash would also be required. The actual size of the phone cradle with the phone sitting in it is no different and it solves the dilemma of 'do I leave the PID in the car or not when parked'. The app works perfectly fine but that said having the 2 systems the Garmin is more user friendly and has more functions than the app. It is also probably neater as your phones battery will drain quickly so I find I always have to have it connected with a USB cable to keep it charged.
  23. Has there been an update to your phone? I run android and the audio worked fine until a Google update in January and it's never worked since. There has been a lot of traffic around this on Google forums which they've chosen to ignore and not solve.
  24. Bit odd supplying something as a spare when they don't bother fitting it themselves in the first place when new. Does that make them optional extras rather than spares
