  1. For something rubber like that it's probably better to get new rather than off a scrapper. I needed a couple of rubber door stoppers a few weeks ago and they cost a massive £1.10 each from my local dealer and were available the next day so they may not cost too much.
  2. Hopefully this should help you work out the part number as I can't see exactly where the photos are on the car: https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/citigo/cit/2012-727/8/803-803035/
  3. Does it have rear discs or drums? Could be similar to Citigo brake issues. If you leave the brake applied when the discs are hot the portion covered by the pads cools at a different rate and the disc can warp which could create this.
  4. I spoke too soon. Now that it's had time to harden off it has quite clearly got a cream tint to it. Should have just gone with the Halfords gloss appliance white :( The only reason I can guess is that the previous owner has religiously polished the car with a white polish rather than clear which has altered the colour. I suppose I better get sanding again.....
  5. Howdy, I can see this has been asked in the past but there was no solution so wondering if someone now had any hints. My App is filling up with past destinations but I can see no way to delete them. Cheers
  6. Mine doesn't use any phone data. It's connected via Bluetooth and I always connect it via the USB port as it charges the phone, the satnav really drains the battery otherwise. Voice control for dialling used to work via Google Assistant but a Google update a few months back put pay to that (there are many threads about the Google update on their forums!).
  7. As it's a genuine VAG part any Skoda, VW or Seat dealership should be able to order it for you. I don't know where you're based but just typed the part number into Google and a number of suppliers around the world came up including Ebay.
  8. I didn't say you needed too just some dealers do at a major service and you pay the same whether you have a Citigo or a Kodiaq.
  9. I believe it is an interim service in odd years and major in even years. £218 for a major service doesn't sound too bad. My local dealer has fixed price servicing, £179 for interim and £289 for major. Trouble is that's the price whatever Skoda you have so probably a better deal the larger the car, the Citigo only has 3 spark plugs!
  10. Not that I'm aware of and definitely not in the last 5 years. It's just one of those mysteries, the paint damage to the bolts is over 5 years old but the dropping is recent. The rubber washers between both halves of the hinge were also noticeably thinner than the other doors. Anyhow all sorted now so all good
  11. I had ordered a 3rd can from a company up in Manchester. Delivery was glacial and I think they'd actually forgotten to despatch it when I chased but it arrived today and is a perfect match so 3 cans all supposedly the same but 2 cream and one white. At least it's sorted
  12. Indeed it was and the sticker in the front of the service book confirms it. I also think the Citigo has only come in this one white. White has always seemed to be the hardest colour to match. I may just go with the Halfords appliance gloss white which is the same formula as their other car paints as it matches.
  13. I did get it made up to the exact paint code from 2 suppliers, both were creamier than the cars bright white. Being 7 years old I would have expected the white to have dulled and perhaps yellowed a bit which is, maybe, what the suppliers have also anticipated
  14. Yep, I've noticed slight sideways movement of the pedal can make a difference. I've now found the odd thread back from when the Citigo was launched and it does seem this was a common complaint which SUK said was a characteristic rather than a fault although it seems they did mellow after a while. Too late for this Citigo as well out of warranty :(
  15. Howdy, I've just been doing a small bit of rust removal around my sons Citigo wheelarch and a scrape on the sill. The car is white, code LR9A, but of course the 2 rattle cans sourced from different suppliers both come out slightly cream whilst the car is brilliant white. So my question is this, the Halfords white primer I've used is a perfect match and I do mean perfect. After sanding down will a few coats of Halfords lacquer be sufficient to protect the primer and stop it yellowing (the lacquer claims to filter out UV rays) or will I need to source another topcoat although Halfords appliance gloss white looks like a possibility. Cheers
  16. It's actually a 5 door but I managed to sort it today. At some point someone has played with the door as the 2 bolts attaching the 2 hinges to the door showed signs of being attacked with a spanner as they are sprayed over when built and whereas all 3 other doors have immaculate bolt heads this doors weren't. There are also screws in the hinges which hold the pin joining the 2 halves in place. The paint in these also showed signs of attack. I loosened them off then raised the door with the aid of my son and retightened the bolts and job done. It doesn't rub and the door now sits in line with the other body panels. A mystery as to why it had been fiddled with of by whom......
  17. It's a 62 plate, there is no warranty.
  18. As mentioned on my other post it's a few years old and a private purchase. Previous owner known to us but he just didn't bother to get things sorted so I'm looking to do it now. Just don't want to pay and arm and a leg to a garage for what could be something easy to do.
  19. Unfortunately not that easy as it's a few years old and was a private purchase. We know the previous owner and he just didn't bother doing anything about it. Looking at the hinges is there a rubber washer or something between the 2 parts of the hinge. Wondering if this has worn meaning the door sits lower.
  20. My son has just picked up a Citigo so there are now 2 in the family. I know it hasn't been involved in an accident but the front passenger door is sitting a fraction to low so I'm guessing it has dropped for some reason. It actually gently rubs the sill when it closes and you can see where it has started to wear the paint away. There are numerous bolts attaching the door so is there a relatively easy way to loosen some off to raise the door then re tighten? I don't want to loosen the wrong ones and make it worse. Cheers
  21. If you have auto lights they'll come on in a tunnel and the dash stays lit.
  22. Howdy, Clutch is working absolutely fine but as your foot comes off the pedal there is a noticeable click the second the pressure of your foot is removed. It sounds like a piece of plastic being flicked but I can't see anything. Like I said, gear change is fine, it's just annoying.
  23. Solved by an update months ago and I've not noticed any sluggishness of the mapping
  24. Did anyone work out how to delete old destinations from the app. Every one I've ever used is still in there, I'd hoped clearing the cache may help but no. Sort of uninstalling the app then re installing it I can't see any other option.
  25. Can't remember the last time I tried listening to AM in the car basically because AM reception when moving is always so atrocious.
