  1. Check your rear doors their good at filling up with water ,move the seals at the bottom of door to drain them ,mines done it twice .
  2. When your travelling at speed on a motorway that damage will be in your mind and worrying you,be safe and get a new one ,alls good then ,and if it blows and some one gets hurt you have posted that your aware of it and maybe you would be in trouble 👍

  5. Well thats is the first question they ask when fitting tyres ,how big and heavy is your car 🥴 as we all know tyres are a personal choice the op asked a question i tried to give him a fair answer ,not everyone has to have michelin or goodyears 👍
  6. I run the avon zv7s on my octavia vrs tsi and my previous rcz gt ,never once had any issue with them ,there not hard tyres at all and have been excellent in wet and dry conditions .

  10. Is there a particular reason for wanting one on a tdi ,no power gains to be had and its a tdi its never going to sound fantastic there usually a waste of money on their own .

  12. My dad had a viva in 70s ,i used to watch him try to mend it as kid every weekend ,hence i have a large repatoir of foul language thanks to that viva .
  13. I debadged mine apart from centre logo ,looks much cleaner ,i hated the crappy chrome lettering ,easier to polish too

    I run four avon zv7s on my vrs and did before on my pug rcz ,never had a moments issue with them

  18. Brings back memories george ,my dad had the estate version in the 70s ,the paint were buggered on the bonnet when he bought it so my mam painted the whole car one summers evening ,you could buy car paint to brush on back then ,and it had aa badges on the grill .

  20. Well the young lady at halfords who fitted my current tyres did a good job ,as did the guy who hardwired my mates dashcam in ,i think some folk just like to talk crap as if everyones an expert
  21. I bought mine from asda 14 quid does what it says on the tin blows up your tyre tells you what the pressure it and its accurate ,had it about four years still like new .
  22. Why couldn't the lads or ladies at halfords put air in a tyre ,its that simple to do actually a monkey could probably do it ,
  23. Not really but sometimes while the car is stood still with engine running go from lock to lock a few times and listen to see if you can hear any noise from the bearings ,can be a sign they are getting worn ,just something else to eliminate hopefully.
  24. What about the top mounts ,i had same problem on an alfa mito ,changed drop links checked springs etc nothing till i changed top mounts then it were grand again .
