One way to know what is fake is that the pattern on the surface is spotless and perfect.

I think it is PU leather. Synthetic leather and that type is not to be conditioned with leather conditioners.

I have 3FL L&K with alcantara seats and there is no real leather on seats or door cards, all fake.I think gear knob is imposible to shape like it is from real leather.

I think real leather is long gone from gear shifter, on my previous car was the same, fake and wore off after 2 years, real leather last much longer before the surface layer is gone.

Does anybody knows what is real leather and what is fake in Octys? I would like to know this to give proper protection of these parts. I assume gear shifter is some fake leather and it has already wear marks. Is steering wheel only real leather in interior?

Somebody tried cabin filter with baking soda? I installed now cabin filter with activated carbon.

On my 1.8tsi on 45tkm I've just replaced air filters and spark plugs, and actually it wasn't so bad but I do a lot of city driving so I didn't want to wait until 60tkm.

The was mainly in 2nd gear, start moving until 2nd gear, slow down to 5km/h and then speed up, then the vibration would kick in every time. I heard that there is a small slip when shifting from 1st to 2nd, maybe this is also causing premature wear on 2nd gear clutch.

And after more and more vibrations in 2nd gear and after several attempts of dealer to recalibrate, clutch was replaced under warranty on only 40tkm.Now it is running like new but for how long? Another 40tkm?1.8tsi btw. The clutch is too weak for this engine as it appears.

Just installed this week Bridgestone Potenza Sport in 225/40/18, the grip is so much more then on my previous PS4, I was waiting for PS4S but the price is not normal. PS4, don't buy if you don't drive a lot in a year, not worth extra money, after 3 years and 30tkm they were so loud noisy, disaster.

Quite on the spot, my conditions are mainly dry with hot summers, agile city driving on worn, slippery asphalt. The other problem with UUHP tyres are available dimensions for our skodas.

Thanks for the link, yes, but this summer only PS4S will be available in 225/40/18, I don't want to go for 19' due to very bad roads.

I watched this review few times and conclusion was that the difference for road use is not so big.

How much is difference between 4 & 4S on dry braking/acceleration?

Somebody tried Uniroyal rainsport 5? I can find very different opinions from owners, from very bad to the best. Maybe it depends on HP and car weight? Octavia as FWD and lightweight needs gripy tyres. By tests they have very bad braking results in dry. I want PS4S, for now not on stock yet in 225/40/18,only preorder. Waiting... 😩

I also run on PS4, good tyre but I would like a softer tyre with more grip, after three years they are noisy so planning to go on PS4S which are soon coming on sale in 225/40/18, that was not the case until now.

After this I went full LED interior and exterior: foot wells front and back, glove box, celling front and back, boot and lights for reverse.

It's my better half and I was taking a picture, my wife is also a car enthusiast so it was for her profile pic. And there was a milion questions after that status anyway😂. It's pointless upgrade and I was thinking that I will not notice it after some time but actually I really like it and and it gives extra illumination from this side of the door.

What is the normal coolant exchange interval because it is not mentioned in service plan. 4 years?

Then it looks it doesn't depend on coolant but on the metals in cooling system.

Straight to garage to check it and repair/replace under warranty claim.

I did some coding but this not, yes in settings you must choose early, in normal it was bad, and my car is lowered 30mm, not sure does it make a difference but to me HBA works more or less ok on FL.
