Skoda Karoq Tyre alts from 19”
Some tyre sizes are cheap. If you've got a Citigo, some good 14" tyres are available for under £50 each. 165/70R14, 175/65R14, etc. If you've got a Fabia, Octavia MK1/2/3, Roomster, Scala, etc. some good 14"/15" tyres are available for under £60 each. 185/60R14, 185/65R14, 185/65R15, 195/65R15, etc. But for 16" tyres and larger, there are few bargains to be had. Another problem with tyres for larger rim sizes, is that they are often over specified for slower cars. Over specifying the tyre, such as fitting V/W/Y speed rated tyres to a car that has a top speed of less than 130mph, makes the ride harder than it needs to be. This is because tyres made for very high speeds tend to have stiffer sidewalls so don't flex as easily as lower speed tyres. Below are two photos of a Yeti. The top photo is with the standard 225/50R17 tyres and standard 7Jx17 ET45 rims. The bottom photo is with oversize 235/55R17 tyres and 7Jx17 ET45 rims. If you would like to do something similar, but on cheaper, lighter and even more comfortable 235/60R16 tyres on 7Jx16 ET45 rims, then I've added a couple of links below. The outside diameter of 235/60R16 tyres is 688.4mm, which is 2.4% larger than standard 215/50R18 tyres. For comparison, the 235/55R17 tyre size has an outside diameter of 690.3mm which is 2.7% larger than standard 215/50R18 tyres. 16" Steel Spare from Superb MK3 205/55/16 91V £NLA
£30 is a good price because they cost about £133 new, and that's the Czech price so maybe a little more in the UK. I can see the 4-digit date code on the sidewall of the tyre which shows that it was manufactured in 2017. So it's 6 years old. It's a 205/55R16 tyre fitted to a 6.5Jx16 ET46 5/112 57.1 steel rim, and would be ideal for use on an Octavia MK3 even as a regular tyre if the others fitted to the car were also 205/55R16. Even the ET46 offset is correct for the Octavia MK3, as it's actually an Octavia MK3 wheel that Skoda dealers have repurposed as a spare wheel for the Superb MK3. The only Octavia MK3 models that it wouldn't fit are the VRS models that use the big front 340x30mm brake discs, as those need at least 17" rims to clear the front brake calipers. The outside diameter of a 205/55R16 tyre is about 5% smaller than the standard Superb MK3 tyre sizes. I doubt that's a good idea on 4x4 models, because the 205/55R16 tyre would be rotating about 5% faster than the other wheels on the car. However, Skoda dealers do appear to have been selling this size as a spare for the Octavia MK3 and the Superb MK3. It makes more sense to use this spare wheel on the Octavia MK3 rather than the Superb MK3. Skoda Karoq Tyre alts from 19”
As you are new to tyres, I suggest you first consider all of the standard tyre and rim sizes on the Karoq 2WD, which I've listed below. The smaller the rim diameter, the more comfortable the tyre because as the rim diameter gets smaller the sidewall height gets bigger in order to keep the outside diameter of the tyre about the same for all tyre sizes. Standard Karoq 2WD tyre and rim sizes (Outside diameter in brackets) 215/60R16 6Jx16 ET43 (664.4mm) 215/55R17 7Jx17 ET45 (668.3mm) 215/50R18 7Jx18 ET45 (672.2mm) 225/40R19 8Jx19 ET45 (662.6mm) 235/40R19 8Jx19 ET45 (670.6mm)

225 55 18 on a Karoq
225/55R18 is almost the size of a 235/55R18 that the Kodiaq uses. 225/55R17 is a Karoq 4x4 tyre size, so 225/55R18 has an outside diameter 1" bigger than this. If you want to go a little bigger, 235/50R18 would give a 1.5% bigger outside diameter.

Switching from 215 55 17 to 225 50 17 tires for SUPERB III 2021
225/50R17 will have more clearance than the standard 235 options, ie. 235/45R18 and 235/40R19. So there is no risk of rubbing. However, there are two different 17" rim specifications that the Superb MK3 uses. 6.5Jx17 ET41 and 7Jx17 ET40. The narrower 6.5Jx17 ET41 appears to be more common than the wider 7Jx17 ET40. The 225/50R17 tyre size is best fitted to the wider 7J rim width, as shown in the ETRTO chart below. Notice that the standard rim width for the much narrower 205/50 tyre size is 6.5J, so it's best to fit a 225/50 to a 7J rim width. ETRTO approved rim widths 205/50 5.5-6.5-7.5 215/50 6.0-7.0-7.5 225/50 6.0-7.0-8.0

Wheel-size.com shows the 15" tyre size for the Octavia MK2 1.9TDI 105PS as 205/60R15. However, wheel-size.com often make mistakes, so check the information inside the fuel filler flap. 205/60R15 is a less common and more expensive size than 195/65R15, so 195/65R15 could be the one to go for out of those two sizes. More vRS tyre musings!
The below five Michelin Pilot Sport Super tyres are all UUHP Ultra Ultra High Performance tyres. As you can see below, the first two versions of the Pilot Sport tyres were Super, but weren't actually called Super...presumably because Michelin didn't do different versions of the Pilot Sport at that time. What happened was that when the Michelin Pilot Sport 3 came out it became a softer, less track focused and more rounded tyre. After the Michelin PS3 came the PS4 and then the PS5. To answer the OP's question, what is best depends what you want out of the tyres. The tester on tyrereviews recommends a Michelin Primacy+ over the Michelin UHP tyres for his dad who drives an Octavia VRS because he would benefit more from the quieter and more comfortable ride that a premium touring tyre gives. Skoda Karoq Tyre alts from 19”
The 235/40R19 tyre size has a Standard Load index of 92 or an eXtra Load index of 96. So if it's really a 235/40R19 tyre size, it won't have a load index of 93.
-
Skoda Karoq Tyre alts from 19”
That tyre size makes no sense. A 235/40R19 doesn't have a load index of 93. If your tyre really does have a load index of 93, then you won't have a 235/40R19 tyre size. A 225/40R19 has a 93XL load index, so maybe you do have the original Karoq 2WD 19" tyre size.

280 Tyres
With 245/40R19 you can use the same tyre pressures as 215/55R17 or 235/45R18. This is because 215/55R17, 235/45R18, and 245/40R19 all have exactly the same load index, ie. Standard Load index is 94 (670kg) and eXtra Load index is 98 (750kg). The tyre pressures for the standard tyre sizes should be shown inside the fuel filler flap. Brake disc size
So are the rear discs ventilated or solid? Jurid on autodoc lists the 230HP model as having solid rear discs. Build code 1KT means 272x10mm solid rear discs. Build code 1KW means 310x22mm ventilated rear discs.

The facelift model came out in 2017 and has split front headlights. The Octavia MK3 petrol VRS 230HP came out in 2015, so is pre-facelift. All of the Octavia MK3 petrol VRS cars have 340x30mm front discs. On the Octavia MK3 VRS it's easy to tell what size the rear discs are because the ventilated rear discs are 310x22mm and the solid rear discs are 272x10mm. ride comfort - going from 18" 235-45 to 17" or 16". Has anyone done it?
Here's a couple of alternative sizes that would improve the ride. The 15" option would provide the best ride, but 205/55R16 is still a big improvement over 225/45R17, and provides more cornering performance than the 15" option. 195/65R15 tyres fitted to 6Jx15 ET47 5/112 57.1 rims. 205/55R16 tyres fitted to 6.5Jx16 ET50 5/112 57.1 rims. 15" rims will clear the front brake calipers on 280mm and 288mm front brake discs. It's the 312mm front brake discs that require at least 16" rims.

Has anyone put 19inch vrs alloys on standard skoda octavia iv se technology that has 16inch alloys
To use snow chains on the VRS, you would need to use 17" rims. 205/55R17 tyres fitted to 6.5Jx17 ET46 rims is one of the approved sizes for use with snow chains on the Octavia MK4, as shown in the Skoda owner's manual. wheel-size.com also shows a 17" tyre option for the VRS.
-
Has anyone put 19inch vrs alloys on standard skoda octavia iv se technology that has 16inch alloys
On standard tyres, car speedos always over-read because it's illegal for a car speedo to under-read. When driving at an indicated 50mph, the car's actual speed might only be 47mph to 48mph. The Twister alloy rims have a specification of 7Jx16 ET46, and are normally fitted with 205/60R16 tyres on the Octavia MK4. However, being 7J in width, the Twister alloys would be an ideal candidate for non-standard 225/55R16 tyres. The Mercedes C-Class uses similar outside diameter tyres to the Octavia MK4, such as 195/65R16, 205/60R16, 225/55R16, 225/50R17. These seem to be the most common tyre sizes on the Mercedes C-Class rather than the lower profile 225/45R18 and 225/40R19. The Mercedes isn't a cheap car, so if it was a good ideal to fit the 45 and 40 aspect ratio tyres, I'm sure most Mercedes C-Class cars would be running about on them...but they're not.

Has anyone put 19inch vrs alloys on standard skoda octavia iv se technology that has 16inch alloys
On the Octavia MK4, the standard 16" tyre size is 205/60R16. One non-standard option could be 225/50R17 on 7Jx17 ET45 rims from the Karoq. 225/50R17 are generally a cheaper tyre size than the lower profile 225/45R18 and 225/40R19 tyre sizes and you get more comfort, more resistance to kerbing damage, more resistance to pothole damage, and still get a big increase in cornering perfomance compared to the rather narrrow 205/60R16 tyre size. Another advantage of 17" rims over 18" and 19" rims is the much reduced weight of the rims. 17" alloy rims might weigh around 10kg each, whereas 19" alloy rims might weigh close to 15kg each. So that's around 20kg less unsprung weight which has a handling advantage as the suspension responds quicker to bumps in the road. Yet another advantage of the smaller and lighter rims is an increase in acceleration and an improvement in mpg. Dose karoq rims fit on octavia?
The outside diameters of Karoq tyres are in all cases except one, bigger than the outside diameters of Octavia MK4 tyres. The one exception is the 225/40R19 tyre size, which is shared between the 2WD Karoq and the Octavia MK4. However, if you like a lot of comfort, it would probably be better to avoid the 225/40R19 tyre size on either car. 2WD Karoq rims and tyres 6Jx16 ET43 215/60R16 7Jx17 ET45 215/55R17 7Jx18 ET45 215/50R18 8Jx19 ET45 225/40R19 4WD Karoq rims and tyres 6Jx16 ET43 225/60R16 7Jx17 ET45 225/55R17 7Jx18 ET45 225/50R18 8Jx19 ET45 225/45R19 https://eshop.skoda-auto.cz/cs_CZ/hlinikove-disky/c/alloyWheels?q=%3ApriceAsc%3AcarType%3AKaroq%2B%282017%2B%29 Octavia MK4 rims and tyres 6.5Jx16 ET46 205/60R16 7Jx16 ET46 205/60R16 6.5Jx17 ET46 205/55R17 7Jx17 ET46 205/55R17 7.5Jx18 ET48 225/45R18 7.5Jx19 ET48 225/40R19 https://eshop.skoda-auto.cz/cs_CZ/hlinikove-disky/c/alloyWheels?q=%3ApriceAsc%3AcarType%3AOctavia%2BIV%2B%282019%2B%29&text=# ETRTO approved rim widths for Octavia MK4 tyre sizes 205/60R16 5.5-6.0-7.5 205/55R17 5.5-6.5-7.5 225/45R18 7.0-7.5-8.5 225/40R19 7.5-8.0-9.0

Octavia VRS MKIII - Tyre Size 225 or 235?
Gemini alloy rims have a specification of 7.5Jx18. As you can see from the below chart, 235/40R18 has an ETRTO approved minimum rim width of 8J. So officially 7.5J is too narrow. However, I doubt you will have any problems running 235/40R18 on a 7.5J rim apart from the questionable legality, as the wider but higher aspect ratio 245/45R18 can be fitted to a 7.5J rim. The 235/40R18 may have been fitted for cosmetic reasons. Many VRS owners simply like the look of wider tyres. It could have been fitted to help improve ride comfort and improve resistance to pothole damage and improved resistance to kerbing damage. The 235/40R18 tends to be a more expensive tyre size than 225/40R18, so cost considerations are not in favour of the wider tyre. Which brake pads
The front brake pads fitted to the Kodiaq depend on what size front brake discs are fitted. So as you can see below, one has a width of about 160mm and the other has a width of about 175mm. As you have a 2.0TDI, you probably have the bigger pads. The smaller pads might only be fitted to the 2WD 1.4 petrol models with 125HP and 150HP. So all 4WDs and all diesels, will probably only be fitted with the bigger pads. However, it's best to check the car's buiild codes to be sure what brakes the car left the factory with. Build code 1ZA or 1ZK means you have 312x25mm front brake discs. Build code 1LW means you have 314x30mm front brake discs. Build code 1LA or 1LG means you have 340x30mm front brake discs. 312x25mm front brake discs have TRW brake calipers that use these brake pads 1ZA 1ZK 314x30mm and 340x30mm front brake discs have TRW brake calipers that use these brake pads 1LW 1LA 1LG
