  1. If you can get it to Perth. ill do it for ya
  2. Have to park it on a hill overnight and bump start it in the morning The new one is almost double the size, so im going to need to modify the battery tray a bit (a lot)
  3. Its meant to be 550A, but its dying, especially coming into winter and running veg oil, really doesnt like starting now...
  4. Thats what im hoping for! Just someone told me the alternator would die a quick, horrible death
  5. Got an old 306 DTurbo, the battery has seen better days, but i got another one for free The old battery is only 430A, the new one is almost 950A... Any reason why i couldnt/shouldnt fit it? Will it cook my alternator or starter etc?
  6. 16.3 at crail, in the wet. Bog standard vRS
  7. You can hardly class a fabia as a 'sports car' though... And personally, i dont believe a 'standard' vrs will do 0-60 in 7.3 secs, unfortunately...
  8. First dibs on the changer :P My volume does that too. Sent it away to be 'fixed' came back even worse...
  9. 45-ish mpg if not particularly bothered about consumption Have seen 64.8 though, driving like a granny Both brim to brim figures
  10. 60k service bits, air filter, cam belt and water pump, and fresh coolant - £160. My labour - free
  11. We shall see next time im in Arbroath And just for the record, mine is doing 90 in 3rd before i hit 4.5k...
  12. Yup, they are both seated right, top and bottom. The writing on both of them are the right way up... The o/s/f had a new shock approx. 15k ago, so i would expect that side to sit higher, but its the passenger side thats higher (on the front at least)
  13. Fitted them about 1500 miles ago, so they have had plenty of time to settle down, but the o/s/r sits higher than the n/s/r, and the n/s/f sits quite noticeably higher than the o/s/f I checked the numbers painted on the springs before fitting, and im 99% sure they were the same numbers on both fronts, and both rears...
  14. Eibach springs only, cost £152 inc VAT and delivery. Fitted them myself Ride quality is exactly the same. I would even go as far as saying its better than OE. I have 215's fitted to 7.5" wide wheels. I havn't had any rubbing issues at all. If you were to go lower than that though, id stick to 205's
  15. You want 215/40 R17 tyres. The first picture is standard, 2nd one is lowered on Eibachs... HTH Mike
  16. Currently running Yokohama Parada Spec 2 on mine, £65 (for 17" at least) each if you shop around Grip very very well in the dry, especially when warm. In the wet, they are not too bad, about the same as the Michy Pilots that were on before No idea about how long they last though. Currently done about 1500 miles on them and still look good as new though
  17. Get a 4 wheel alignment, not just the tracking... Only way to tell if everything is OK
  18. Those ones are replicas Finally got it lowered too for those interested. It has dropped a few mm more as the springs have settled a bit...
  19. Mines is a 53 plate. Is there a chassis range that is affected?
  20. Should there be a warning light when the cruise control is switched on? Every other car iv driven with cruise has one, just wondering if the fabia should have one too...
