Sounds like autonomous braking. I had this happen when a pedestrian walked behind my car when reversing into a car park space.

Slight change of message this week: "Following on from my last contact with you, the resolution is currently under testing"..."I will once again update you further in 2 weeks." Hmmm...

Very occasionally (maybe every 3 months), my fuel filler cap has opened by itself. Has anyone else had this happen? Thanks all.

I'm also awaiting the kph/mph fix, car is with me and not at the garage.

You can also turn kessy off in the window & central locking menu.

Just had a "courtesy call" from Kate Laws. She said the factory estimate another 4 weeks for the kph/mph software release...

Press it and it should go out.

This today from Kate Laws: We are aware of a small number of OCTAVIA A8 vehicles which have reported some interruptions in the functionality of certain driver assist systems, which is being investigated. ŠKODA UK are always looking to improve the operating parameters of our vehicles during their life span and we understand a software update will be released shortly which should address these experiences.

Just had this back from HJ: Many thanks. Skoda is working on this (along with VW and Audi who have similar problems). Rather than have me forward complaints via Skoda's head of PR, he has asked me to refer readers to the executive office directly at [email protected] so they can keep a proper handle on it. (However, we had this problem in some new BMWs driven long distances recently. In those, to switch from kmh to mph and back, you had to go into the driver settings, find <<Distance>> and change that from metric to imperial or vice versa. German counter-intuitive logic.) I too am happy with my car. I have 2 issues with kph/mph and Skoda Connect not working every now and again, bit overall it's so far a great family car.

Just in case anyone has had a similar issue. My phone would disconnect from the Octavia's Bluetooth whenever I tried to make a call. I have since turned off "Media audio" in the Bluetooth connection on the phone. It has not happened since (fingers crossed!)

Hi all, has anyone managed to update their Octavia 4 Columbus nav using a usb stick? I downloaded ECE 2020/2021 onto a usb stick, but my system doesn't find it when plugged into the phone holder usb ports. Thanks!

You should also be able to turn off keyless access in the settings.
