  1. I have a 245 VRs challenge edition. It’s a nice car but honestly if I was buying again I would probably poney up the extra cash for an RS4 or an S4 anyway. The skoda is grand but with it being a big car even with a remap it’s a bit pedestrian.
  2. I have a 2018 245 VRS. Been great so far. Love the car.
  3. Likely a faulty thermostat very common on all VAG cars. Bought a TT recently viewed 8 cars before buying one every single one needed the thermostat replaced.
  4. I went from a 2015 diesal VRs to a 2018 245bhp petrol VRS. Have zero regrets the old car was grand but the newer car is great. Not had any issues with mine as yet, had it just over a year now. Took a fair time to find the one I wanted though not that many 245’s around in N.I. My car has the alacantra electric heated seats, the front dif etc. Debating getting rid at the moment for an RS4 but not made my mind up yet.
  5. You will need oem or TRW pads for some reason they are really fussy.
  6. Taking it easy I used to regularly get 60-63 on my old 2015 VRS.
  7. You can get a copy at your dealers or you can just email Skoda U.K and they will send you a copy by email.
  8. Have tried quite a few but always end up going back to meguiars tyre gel
  9. Have always like white personally especially on Jap and German cars.
  10. I like the white. That is what I originally wanted before seeing a Meteor Grey car and preferring that.
  11. A friend of mine had a 230 and it has the standard seats not the power seats. On a VRS anyway I think only the special edition 245 like mine has them as standard with other cars it was an option.
  12. My 245VRS has the power seats with the 3 memory settings.
  13. For my 245 I was told Diff oil, brake fluid are supposedly supposed to be changed every 3 years. Spark plugs every 2 years. Then there is the usual pollen, air filter etc. There is a service schedule that has been posted to many threads on here should be easy to find.
  14. Have seen mentioned before that top mounts can cause this noise.
  15. My dealer charged £100 for mine.
  16. You just need some fallout remover for the black marks. This is the one I use but any will do really. https://www.ezcarcare.co.uk/products/aurora-advanced-fallout-remover The rest just needs a good careful clean. If it’s really bad maybe better to get it detailed by a pro.
  17. They are both the proper spec. Castrol Edge is usually more expensive than Quantum. Castrol Edge depending on where you buy it can be very expensive.
  18. Quantum is £25 for 5l at the dealers usually, sometimes it’s on promo for £20 for 5l.
  19. It is the wrong spec for your car needs to be VW 504 00/ 507 00. If you want cheap oil just get quantum from any Skoda, VW, Seat etc dealer.
  20. Service fill is supposed to be 4.7 litres for the diesel. In regards to what oil is manufacturer recommended for the diesel is Castrol Edge 5w30ll. If you go to a Skoda dealership for servicing they will use Quantum 5w30. You can buy Quantum at the dealers trade counter usually for about £25 for 5L. Castrol Edge is 5w30 is often on offer on Amazon at £25 for 4L. The oil filter from the dealers according to my receipt from last year was £9.35 inc vat.
  21. Would absolutely agree. I went the other way going from a 2015 TDI VRS to a 2018 TSI 240BHP VRS and it’s a much better car.
  22. They come up quite often on eBay there is a leather set on there now although they are not red trim.
  23. Yeah you can defiantly enable and disable auto locking on OBDELEVEN as well as the chirp.
  24. Yeah I have that one doesn’t fit my phone either but the other multimedia one fits my phone but not my car.
  25. Garage - Select the car- history
