Hey! I use apple carplay wireless with iphone 11pro. Phone indeed gets hot when in wireless charging spot, but it is getting hot on my home wireless charging places too so it is not Skodas fault (althoug I have never ever had any errors because of hotness on my phone). Regarding apps - I only use Waze, calling and Spotify (and occasionaly Soundcloud/google maps). I have the issue with spotify since i bought the car and I got used to it. It is similar to your issue: When my phone autoconnects to carplay, i need to go to radio and then to carplay so that the sound of spotify would be on. If I do not do that - the music is playing but there is zero sound. As soon as i switch to radio and then back to spotify it fixes itself. Not happening to any other apps, only spotify. Not sure if this is spotify/apple or skoda fault. Minor bump for me, i adapt to changes fast so now its like a routine for me already..

I own RS version, almost max spec, and despite few minor software bugs (like spotify resume bug on apple carplay, occasional slow touch after ignition) and very silent exhaust - it is amazing car. Love it, and upgrading after MK2.5 RS, it is like I space traveled into the future. 10/10

Thanks! A bit sad that I need to drill holes as if I will want to remove those design parts, my bumpers will have holes (and in the future this can be seen as devaluation thing for a car price no? ). But it is minor thing. A bit weird that they did not introduce any rear diffuser, only rear side splitter.

I have winter pack with heated windshield. It works very well (we have a rough winter here with lots of snow and -20 degrees etc.) and I have never needed to scrape my windshield. I also activate it via digital button under the "classic" submenu. But the thing is, my front window has that tinted/copper look while on sunlight/facing towards the car.

Hey! After i have reached 3000+ km with my RS, I noticed that there are no exhaust sound at all, no DSG farts, nothing (the only similar thing is with launch control, when revving it gives that crackling sound inside (i have no acutator). Maybe anyone knows the reason why it is so silent and how to make it louder (without voiding engine warranty) ? I was thinking about cat-back exhaust (as downpipe would definetly void warranty) but I am not sure if it will make those infamous DSG sounds (but would definetly make exhaust louder). I still need to contact dealer about cat-back to be sure that it would not void warranty. Another thing I was thinking (and maybe someone done this here on this forum) - Maxhaust active sound. It has a some sort of a speaker that you install under the car and control via mobile app. It connects via canbus and responds to throttle etc. But I am a little bit worried that it might void electronics warranty as I will place something aftermarket into canbus... Anyone had any experience or plans with their RS exhaust sound ?

Hi! I am considering buying the whole set of Maxton Design for my RS. I would like to ask opinions of these products, maybe someone already has them fitted to their RS ? How is the quality/real life looks ? I have RS one of first edition and yeah i get occasional bug here and there but nothing game breaking as they would say. It is a car full of computer stuff and i never trust computers too much so i expect errors (maybe because i work in IT and im used that all computers have some issues :D). anyway - coming from mk2 for me its like day and night upgrade despite all errors etc (which i guess will be updated). Love the car and rate it 9.5/10 (0.5 lost for weak exhaust, come on skoda you could do VW GTI exhaust or similar for it, not the silent, no sound one)

Yeah you need to turn them with stalk forward. If you only dtive in the city with lights - then its no use. I live out of city so its my mandatory thing to do. But works very nice, never got a upcoming flashing from other cars 😁

I have same stuff, but it is not freezing. But i noticed that my iphone 11pro is getting hot while charging wireless. It does not matter if it is Skoda Wireless or my home Wireless pad - phone becomes hot. I think it is an issue with iPhone.

Just checked - I have 1666 and no pending updates (waited for 15mins in screen "checking updates" but no new ones were on).

I have mk4 vRS with DCC and I can say - totally worth it. Comfort option is just amazingly soft with 19inch wheels. But the best part is - Individual mode where you just configure your chassis as you want (for example, soft comfort chassis but steering etc - sporty and so on) .

450k km done. Got it to freeze once when coming to car after apple carplay was connected. Long press shutdown option helped. But i had -18 celcius all morning so maybe related. but i have encauntered another issue: when you go to car, after previously having apple carplay and spotify playing - it connects auto but there is no sound on spotify. You need to manually go to radio, sound appears and switch back to spotify - then everything is fine 🤷🏻‍♂️ A bit annoying but oh well. I hope update will fix it.

I tried to take few pics of what i have under the bonnet. my car rooled out of factory 2020-11 end. i do not see it in my spec sheet nor do i see this option in new cars additional spec sheet... could it be that because i was one of the first orders, they did not include this at all ? attachibg few pics, not sure if anything is related to the acutator.. will conta t my dealer tomorrow.

I am from Lithuania and just collected my vRS 2.0tsi with DCC - aaaand surprise, no sound acutator. It is not listed in the specs neither in additional specs. my car is pretty high spec so i thought it would have it... a bit of shame if it is not possible to have it. will need to invest to Akrapovic or Panthera sound then...

Hmmm that is interesting, as i do have DCC and in individual - it is missing “engine sound”.. could it be that it needs to be activated vis VCDS ? 🤔

Hey! i just collected my brand new vrs, but when driving and in DCC - i cannot find/see any of “vehicle sound” options. It seems like sound acutator is disabled or is not in my spec ?? i have Canton and DCC in my spec and the trim is one of the highest... what could it be, maybe i am missing some settings? :(
