  1. Has anyone tried installing the Fitcamx dash cam? How's it going? Have you also tried any Chinese clones like Kampacar or Jabriel?
  2. Here's a little update. I updated from 330 to 332 and no longer had the navigation system (the function was unavailable). I applied a patch provided by drive2.ru that essentially reactivates the FEC/SWAP by connecting them to your VCRN ID, but it didn't work (the patch is applied correctly because an OK file is returned on the USB stick). Then I read in some threads that someone had solved the navigation system activation simply by activating the off-road menu via car scanner. So I tried, and once I gave it the OK, the function appeared on the phone, as well as a sport menu (the off-road menu, for some reason, doesn't appear). The only downside: when the navigation system wasn't active, the air temperature indicator was present in the center of the maxidot display. Now it's back to the right, and it disappears every time you activate eco mode, which is when my 1.5 TSI is running on two cylinders. I don't know if there's a way to move it back, but it was really convenient. Anyway, apart from that, I haven't seen any improvements. PS I saw that the OCU version can be viewed via carscanner in the ECU information of the communication module, and in my case it's 143, so it's up to date.
  3. Following this guide, which is the same one found on the Russian site, I can confirm that with the 3C0A code it actually displayed a hex code, which should be my VCRN, after giving me an error ("impossible to apply the command"). The Russian site also says that after setting 3C0A, the VCRN also appears in the ECU Information section of module 5F, but I always see only "a|." The only thing I didn't do was set ATST to "16," but I don't know if that changes anything; from what I understand, it's something you need to do if the first attempt fails. If everything is correct and that's my code, I'd say I can replace it in full.bin and flash. Question: Can I see the OCU version with Carscanner? Because following a problem with the SOS control unit, they updated my OCU in September 2024, but what I see from the engineering menu is only that OCU3_5WA035284B_ was installed but it doesn't say the version. If I click on the various items for that update it says successfully update from 1.48.0 to 101.48.0 or 101.49.0 but I don't think that's the version I'm reading here.
  4. Did you mean this Mega? Unfortunately, I don't have Odis or OBD11, but I do have Carscanner with ELM. I can try resetting the infotainment system (I'm not sure if I can do it from the screen or by removing the fuse, which should be #12). On drive.ru, I found some topics about a patch that seems to fix the issue and that would work with Carscanner without Odis. I'm sharing it for anyone who might need it, since an ELM dongle is available for a small price: https://www.drive2.ru/b/695890531019930453/ This is exactly my case: FEC/SWaP present but with wrond VCRN number. Basically, you just need to find your VCRN number, replace it with a hex code, and flash it with USB. I'm not sure whether to risk trying the patch; maybe it's better to reset the radio first. Because, again, it's strange. I have the navigation system as standard, and if I look at the FEC/SWaP codes, I see the navigation code, but if I open the details, it shows up as VCRN 1234, which is obviously wrong. And if I go to the dealership, they'll definitely charge me for a realignment.
  5. Update: I picked up the car today and noticed that the temperature gauge has finally been moved to the bottom center of the display, so it's always visible (and not just when the ECO icon disappears). Unfortunately, however, when I clicked on NAV, it told me the navigation system wasn't available. It's strange because I was using 0330, not older versions, so the swap system must have already been active. What should I do? Reinstall 0330? Or redo the 0332 update? Everything else seems to be working fine.
  6. I'm having some trouble too. someone suggested to use some old credit cards to release the 6 pins, but I've failed. I'll retry when possible.
  7. Karoq 2021 successfully updated 330-->332 seen no improvements but all seems to work correctly.
  8. Ok, maybe in the uk version is called vehicle, mine is italian and on amundsen display I got, on the right, a button called Map, one called App, one called Car and one called Menu. But yes, I mean that menu. So I wonder if it depends on wich Mib version (2 or 3) andò on wich firmware version. Yours is the same as mine.
  9. Yes, I have that too. But from what I read, in the infotainment CAR menu, by clicking on the gears, there should be a "reset" item. By pressing it, it should ask what to reset (in this case only the lights). I don't have this item, so I don't know if they removed it from the MIB3, or if it disappeared only in the 0330 (and maybe in the 0324 it's there).
  10. anthony82 posted a topic in Skoda Karoq
Can anyone with MIB 3 and firmware 0330 check if in CAR/SETTINGS it has RESET as the last item? Because I would like to increase the flashes of the comfort arrows from 3 to 5 with coding, but reading the instructions it says that after the coding you need to reset the lights from the CAR menu, otherwise the coding is not taken. Can you check if you have that item? because in my opinion on MIB3 or on 0330 it has been removed...
  11. The problem I think is that you updated from 0306 to 0324. While to update to 0324 or 0330 you must first install 0308. Then, once done you must clean the error 1555/B201A with an OBD interface (Obdeleven, Carscanner, VCDS etc)
  12. I had this problem on my Karoq. I confirm that it can be solved, when it happens: - turning off the engine for about 30 minutes (it resets everything) - pressing the SOS button 1-2 times - pressing the SOS button for 1 minute The first option is not viable if you are traveling. The other two are, and they mean that after 1-2 minutes a call is made to the VW emergency call center (not to the Police/Ambulance, to be clear). Just press Stop Call on the display when the call is made. Sometimes the button doesn't work, so when the operator answers just say it's a mistake. Magically the light turns green again. I also noticed that when it happens the car microphone stops working (so if you are on a call they can't hear you anymore) and I think the volume also stops working, which no longer goes up but only goes down. If you try to restart the infotainment by pressing the radio power button for a long time, it gets stuck on "loading profile". In the workshop they updated my OCU firmware in September, since then it has only happened 2 times, months apart. Quite shameful that they don't find a definitive solution, given that it is a problem of the entire VW group...
  13. A moment ago, I went down to check (the issue occurred last night). I turn on the radio and the user loading screen appears again. I press the infotainment power button and hold it down for a very long time, even after the Skoda logo appears. The screen goes blank, and when it finally comes back on, I see my name. I can press ok, and everything works. Let's see if it was just a temporary problem. PS I didn't check if the SOS call light was green. It wasn't displaying any errors anymore, so it was probably on as usual, but I'll check later.
  14. hi, last night while I was travelling, the SOS anomaly signaled me, go to the Service. 2 hour trip, the alert never turned off. After about 1 hour it also reported "Limited road sign recognition". Then the flat tire warning light also came on (but this is normal, because it happens every time I change from winter to summer tyres). Everything else worked (radio, android auto, ACC, etc.) Once I reached my destination I held down the button to turn on the infotainment, so as to reset it and, once the Skoda logo appeared, the infotainment was stuck on "User profile loading". I tried reset several times but nothing. By turning it off and on again, for a fraction of a second I could see 1 error ("car profile not available") which then disappeared immediatly. If I locked the car, "EMPTY. Forgot anything?" appeared instead of the standard message with my name. I read that it's a common problem, my Karoq is 2021, sometimes some lights came on but then when I turned it off and on again everything was fine again. I read that to solve the problem you can: - set privacy to maximum level (it's a workaround because then some online systems don't work, so I don't like it as a solution) - press the SOS button 1-2 times and, as soon as the call starts (which does not happen immediately but perhaps after 1 minute, given that the service is blocked) press Cancel and everything works again. - disconnect the battery and reconnect it (the instrument panel lights up like a Christmas tree but then the lights go off as you drive) - leave the machine turned off for 30 minutes and it resets itself - do soft reset 3 times (it's not clear to me if it really works) - do a factory reset (assuming you can access the menu, since everything is blocked) I have the latest firmware available for MIB3, 0330. Obviously I left the OBD2 interface at home, so I can't see what the error is or reset it until I get home next week...
  15. it's right. you cannot update from 306 to 330 (or 324). You must update to 308 and then to 324 or 330. I had 306 on my Karoq, and I installed 308 and then 330. After the last update you need to fix 1555 error (not shown on the monitor but only via obd2)
  16. Manually updated my Karoq to 330. All went well so far.
  17. Seems to works fine, no 1555 error (actually I saw it, and corrected, with carscanner. but nothing was show on the display) Now I think I'll wait some days for the 330 OTA update. If nothing appears, I'll proceed with manual upgrade. 🙂
  18. Ok i had to turn it up manually 😅
  19. Just updated to 308. After pushing resume the screen is black. I have to turn on the infotainment or just wait? How much?
  20. Yes, but I saw on italian forum an user with Octavia who use it in italy and without any activation/coding. Skoda doesnt tell anything about region limitations 😔
  21. Just a question: if I upgrade from 306 to 308 and then to 330, I need to clear 1555/B201A every time or I can clear it only at the end of the update to 330?
  22. Thanks, I got it on Amazon because on Aliexpress the same device, shipped to me, was €4 cheaper than on Amazon which will deliver it to me tomorrow and not in a month 🙂 Then I think I'll get the license for life. 🙂
  23. Thank you, so basically I can but this one https://www.amazon.it/Bluetooth-Lettore-codici-Scanner-Android/dp/B06XGB4873 (If I'm not mistaken it is among those indicated by the carscanner developer) and the free version of https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ovz.carscanner&hl=it&gl=US if I understand correctly, the 1555 error is the same as the B201A. https://www.carscanner.info/coding-mqb/ These encodings are therefore 3 free, then you pay (€2.79/3 months or, perhaps more conveniently, €5.49 for a lifetime license), right? Seems to be cheaper than obd eleven.
  24. Hi, I have a 2021 Karoq (with Skoda written on the back but pre-facelift). it was born with firmware 270 but at my insistence it was updated a couple of years ago to 306 because the maps were not updated (neither via USB nor via OTA). I downloaded 324 and 308 some time ago (from what I had read I could only install 324 after installing 308, because 306 was not supported). then I never updated because I don't have an OBD device and therefore I couldn't remove the error. Now I saw that the 330 was released, I wanted to know, before downloading it, whether the 330 can be installed directly on the 306 or whether I should in any case switch to the 308. In fact, I would like to solve the problem that Predictive Cruise Control doesn't work for me in Italy (it works perfectly in Spain, France... but not in Italy... the Service told me that they can't do anything about it but I suspect it's also linked to the installed firmware...) Furthermore, I saw that in the most recent versions the firmware updates via OTA, therefore without having to download it to USB... in my Karoq this doesn't happen, I think this is also linked to the firmware, right? The other thing is the cheapest method to remove B201A error...is OBD Eleven the cheapest device?
  25. Hi @varooom are you still here? thanks!
