  1. Sadly cant help out, as i havent done mine, but wondering where you found the hardware, i am on a look out for the trims with rgb, cant seem to find it, what i did find was the "wooden look" ones, and i need the "aluminium" ones! Thank you! And have you thought about colled/ventilated front seats?
  2. Sorry to bump an old thread, but i was meaning to do this, and then had other things to do, so would you @JR RS mind listing all the parts you used, as in their respective part numbers? I do have the blind spot monitoring, so i guess i will tap into there as you did, not sure if the rear bumper needs removing, i guess it does to tap into the can network. Thank you in advance!
  3. Was told also that those 9g are calculated, and that measured is the real value, but both are conserning, i was thinking of trying to remove the dpf, straight pipe it, code it out, just to eliminate it from the equation, to see if indeed its the dpf, as its was easier then trying to get to the charge cooler..
  4. @310golfr there you go, not sure about those ash levels, is that a shot dpf or?
  5. Well, from what i was told it should have not gotten to almost 2g after only 5km (3miles) of driving, after a completed regen, but who knows.. Ill check the levels tomorrow morning with my OBD11, as im not sure my obd adapter will work with vag dpf app, at least its not listed as working with OBD11 adapter.. Will report once i have the info! Thank you for your input, and for trying to help!!
  6. Nope, im not an english speaker, so might have formulated it wrong, im saying that after a regen and only 5km the car already had 1.9g, he did check the ash as well, but that has sadly not been memorised by my silly brain 😞 I am at a loss here, as a few more calls later, apparently its a know thing on golf 7s as well..
  7. Hi guys, as an owner of a MK3 superb, 2.0tdi 140kw, i opted for a standard remap, all done as it should, but the car was not any "faster" then it was before, comparing to other stock 2.0tdi mk3s or a passat, so obviously something was wrong, measured it via an on wheel measuring device, not sure how its called, and it showed less then 187bhp, which is factory, so had the tuner redo the "magic" and it should work.. But still the car felt nothing more responsive then it was, the measuring device he uses depends on the mass of the vehicle, and only after entering a total mass of 2.000kg we got around 220bhp and around 460nm of tourqe.. But that didnt seem right, the car is rated at 1600kg per registration papers, so i went to weigh the car, turns out its merely 1820kg with 2 adults and a child in the car.. So then i went to do a dyno run instead of messing around with the tuner, the incorrect measuring device.. At the dyno run, it turns out the car has barely 200hp and 415nm of tourqe.. The man running the dyno is well known for his tunes, and car knowledge, he claims that every 5th car coming there, onwards from 2015, being VAG and TDI has a known fail of the charge cooler, symptoms low hp, often regeneration of the DPF which i have noticed, and some increase of consumption, which i have also noticed, used to be around 6 to 7 liters/100 km up to almost 9l/100 km now.. He also advised me that running the car like this will not harm the engine, but will lead to total DPF failure, as he also checked the soot value, car did a regeneration 5kms before the dyno, already had 1.9 gram inside! Called my main dealer, price asked for the cooler and work is around 2000eur! Called my local garage, they claim if no coolant leak, its not the charge cooler, upon advising them i have a sluggish car, and after telling them the whole tuning story, they claim DPF clogging, but would that not get me an error code? Car has been scanned by multiple garages, main dealer, my buddy with vcds, and i did it myself as well with OBD11, no errors at all on any modules! But i was told that charge cooler does not throw up an error code, as it has no sensors on the ouptut part, only on the input.. I am at a loss now, as the price is far to great to be guessing, how can i tell if its the charge cooler, should i look at the DPF, EGR, where do i start with an underperforming car with 0 (zero) faults!
  8. Thanks for the detailed explanation, i was not sure about hatchbacks, funny how they always think of something, like all 3 versions of the cameras are identical in form and shape, just different functions, but god forbid they put washers on all of them as standard, at least for the estate version.. On topic of cameras, did you know there are multiple versions of the said highline camera, i had to change my out because i wanted the trailer assist function..
  9. Well not all cameras have it, i believe its only the highline camera, the mid and lowline do not have it, and you also need to have a rear wiper obviously, not sure if hatch versions have it, even with a wiper installed!
  10. Probably because you cant turn it on to see it being washed in forward, from about 15km/h, so you cant tell, but trust me, you can wash it at any speeds, as its not possibile to select when to wash and when to not wash, once you trigger the rear window wash pump it will spray at the camera and the window nozzle!
  11. You sure about that? i can wash it normally if in forward gear, and using the rear window wash function.. It cannot tell if you are in reverse or not, as its not smart, its pure mechanichs, you could wash it at 60miles per hour it would not care at all!
  12. 3 and 4 are not possibile, 3 due to limitations of can-bus, the wheel goes to sleep once power is off, 4 not possibile as the rear camera washer jet is connected to the same pump as the rear window, so you cant have fluid running to it unless the rear window is being washed.. That being said, you could rig your own washer pump, tap into the lines before rear window washer pump, and have a switch in the cabin to wash.. but OEM its not possibile..
  13. Since im not from the UK, can you just explain plusgas? something like wd40 or silicone based? thnx!
  14. I have the same on my 2016 mk3, same side, just mine is a LHD so its the passanger door.. Did try to adjust at a local service, they lifted it a touch, it was worse, they lowered it to where it was, and told me handle needs to be removed to see the exact issue.. That was 3 months ago, still the same.. People sometimes think its locked, as its that hard to open sometimes.. It does not depend on weather, or teperature..
  15. I would say no, at least from my experience, for me no lines means, obviously, not picked up, for white, for me it works as described, does jerk the wheel if you try to cross without signaling, but will not follow the lines on its own, and orange for me is that it will follow the lane..
  16. Yep, you have no heated rear seats.. Those two blank buttons are for left and right heated seats!
  17. Next time i get either one or two white lines and green lane assist icon i will take a photo.. as that happens to me on a daily basis.. WIth white for me it only prevents exiting the lane, but will not steer to keep in middle..
  18. I had mine show white lines, and green icon, at that point it seems it will keep you in lane, but not follow it, like it does when they are both orange, and the icon is green.. So i figure it has options to just keep you in lane, and also follow the lane when the markings are orange, and the icon green.. Or at least thats what it seems to do.. IDK if its right or not..
  19. J.R. has described in detail what i saw in the pics, thats why i said its not rodents.. If you can, take that car back, as it could be a never ending story if you try to fix it all up!
  20. more like some 3rd party repairs after a front end colission!
  21. thats exactly how a octavia 4 looks like from behind
  22. I would assume there is, but havent heard of it.. Maybe someone thats more into coding will join in and enlighten us!
  23. Well, i have had my webasto cut out short of the 30mins its set to, due to battery management, so nothing to worry about, the car will manage itself!
  24. The image it displays is of other cars, it wont display your car.. It is setup to mimick your view from the seat, so you can see a resemblance of a steering wheel on the maxidot when using the driver assist view!
  25. I would say an hour, as i have the webasto option rather then REST, and the max time for it to run is 60min, that is an option i can change on the MIB, from 10 to 60.. Did you try the AC menu button, maybe there is an option to set duration like there is for the webasto and aux heating!
