  1. For the per key adjustements, you need to code in personalisation, i did it on mine, will try to find the guide i used, if you own or can acces a diagnostic tool, such as vcds or obd11, its quite simple to do!
  2. Wait, no view button.. So no VC in plan (sarcasam)
  3. Actually my car does small corrections on straight roads, like small twerks to feel the resistance, if its there no take over, you can clearly see it if you let go, it will make a few small turns with the wheel, then a few larger movements, then goes into take over procedure! Hence the small water bottle trick, as the bottle is not heavy enough to move the wheel, rather give some resistance when the car checks for resistance, and after the first beep to take over then it waits for an input, it wont twitch the wheel, rather wait for you to turn it by hand, how much, tough to tell, had the take over beep a few times, jiggeled the wheel, still it went to brake check, so thats how i see mine works!
  4. I would have sworn that mine has them on both sides (EU mainland)! Ill need to have a look tomorrow!
  5. You need to pry the plastic ends of the door latches to expose the locks, other then those i dont think there are any other applications to the key, so door lock, airbag, and child lock..
  6. There are locks hidden in the door handles from the outside, also used for pass airbag off, and child lock if its not electric!
  7. Exactly what i said earlier, had that happen on an A6! Should not be so hard to exchange!
  8. I would say its good then, but on the other hand, even a month old battery could be bad.. I presume the car starts normally, no issues there.. The drop after shutdown is wierd, not sure why that happens, should be constant, and what you said, after a minute car will go to "sleep" and thats why your voltage will climb.. Aby aftermarket parts on the car? Electric primary?
  9. Well the obvious question would be, how old is the battery?
  10. Since the last update, i have been experiencing a lot of freezes, especially on google maps, youtube music plays, but the screen is frozen, i can change songs on the steering wheel, but to get it to unfreeze i need to select any other funcition on the mib, then go back to AA, then repeat a few times till it starts working.. never had that happen before the last android update, tried 4 different cables, same, works perfect with my wifes iphone, no freezing at all!
  11. Makes sense, i cant witness to the difference between UK an EU regulations, but i can tell you that modern cars with heaps of systems do optimize for certain situations, i forgot to include in the list that cars with tow preparation from factory, or factory mounted tow bar have uprated rear springs, cars with DCC as well have system changes when a trailer is connected.. I for one would not be so keen to bolt it on and pedal around, especially on my 15 and onward, no matter the brand!
  12. My bad then, thought that the AFS ones only do go up-down, then i guess looking at the sticker is the easier way, and using vcds/obd11 the easy way
  13. Can be done with odis, the youtube way is the accelerator pedal method, but from various sources, thats a no go!
  14. You can do it the easy way, or the easier way Open the hood, take a peek to see your model number on the sticker on each lights, if it ends in B its the correct light, if its an A it does not have the lashes, or just start the car up in dark, and if the lights dance left-right and up-down its B lights, if its only up-down its A lights! Excatly that, instead of white they turn amber! Mind you i have not tested the coding, just found it, since its nowhere to be found on this forum thought i ask about opinions before i try it out on mine, or ill just code it and see
  15. Now poor little me has a question about coding , for the fun of it, has anyone tried coding US style onto a MK3? I did find this guide, but not sure what to expect, there have been errors reported with this coing, about invalid light functions on VCDS scans, but it appears to funciton, and you can code it to only work in amber during day ( when main dipped beam is not on).. Ill attach the steps as folows, and can someone share their opinion on it? Thnx! I've changed this in the table above Lichtfunktion E has 2 x settings; use either as desired and use the corresponding value for Dimmwert EF
  16. Did mine like this; Controller 09 - Central Electronics 16 - Security Access - enter 31347 10 - Adaptations (8)Leuchte17TFL R BLK ......... C17 to Daytime running lights (10)Leuchte17TFL R BLK ......... CD17 to 100 (8)Leuchte16BLK SLB ......... C16 to Daytime running lights (10)Leuchte16BLK SLB......... CD16 to 100 The CD are the brightness values, tinker with them and see how you like it, i think i got mine at 80 at the moment! As for my 21, not sure, i believe the coding might be different, as the lights are a different design, possibly different functions as well!
  17. Not sure on cost, depends on country, to be sure its the relay, check resistance between pins 85 and 86, if its very high ressistance its the relay, should be around 85 ohms if i remember correctly.. As for the price of the relay, usually around 10 eur!
  18. Most likely its the relay, belive its the J271, it should be located in the engine bay!
  19. interesting, i remember having to do the abs bleed via vcds several times on my A6, but i admit that was a few years back, and it was an older car, my 2009, so i guess its not anymore..
  20. Other than the towbar it self, factory fitted cars do change software properties as well, once a trailer has been hooked up, gearbox mode changes, abs, esp, acc, blind spot, front assist, rear sensors, rear traffic assit, manuvre assist, optional trailer assist kicks in, cooling regime changes, supposedly even the fuel delivery, and other engine related stuff changes mode upon trailer connection, of course only if its done and coded properly, factory or not, it has to be coded, connected to the CAN network, and for the superb, there are different fan sizes, fan blade pitch is different, the CFM numbers fans can move is different, the supplementary heater pump is also a larger diameter, and more changes i cant remember from the top of my head.. Note- i was told this by more than one master service techs that work for 3 main dealers in my country.. My superb has came factory fitted, but i was wondering for a octavia my wife was wanting to buy for herself, which did not come with a tow bar
  21. Heres my 2 cents, used to own an Audi A6, and it had ambient lightning done with 2 leds per strip, one on each side, pointed into a "light tunnel" not sure how to translate svjetlovod from croatian, sorry, but i had the same look on my ambient once one of the leds per strip failed, took it out, found a replacement led, soldered back into the "light tunnel", and voila.. Now mind you, the A6 had only white, it was not rgb, so not sure how its done on the superb, as sadly mine does not have the ambi light option!
  22. Its doable, PM me im from Zagreb, ill give you my phone number and point you where it can be done, any "ovlašteni" wont do it for you, as they dont have the knowledge of doing retrofits, they will just say its not doable
