  1. No damage whatsoever. Fingers crossed it's replaced. Booked in for a couple of weeks time so will update with the outcome.
  2. Thanks both, spoke to Skoda and booked the car in along with a software update to 1941. Looking online this should be a sealed unit that should last a considerable amount of time so i'm hoping they will replace it. I'm told they will charge me £150 to investigate and if its not covered under warranty I'll be charged for that!
  3. Hi all, I have noticed what I think is an excessive amount of water in the tail light. I also noticed today a few of the lights in the strip are out also. Can anyone advise if theirs looks similar and would this be covered under warranty? Thanks in advance
  4. I've just seen the second part of this question, in relation to service history iirc it's stored on the infotainment in the vehicle section. You can also download a digital report if you log into skoda connect from a Web browser which shows any services and/or warranty repairs.
  5. I spoke to the dealer about this when my car got to the 2 year mark. Their advice was to leave it if I was happy with the performance which I was. I've also owned other brands of cars from new and never had issues with the air con despite not getting it serviced.
  6. I've started having a look into exhaust mods, never used to be bothered about it however my wife's 1 litre Juke sounds better than the VRS 😂
  7. I've started to get this since the last OTA update. Either a black screen that I have to reboot manually or android auto freezes and reboots the system...
  8. Had an issue logging in through the updated app first thing this morning but it's working fine now on android (Samsung S23U)
  9. Looks a lot better with the engine cover, don't see why we should have to buy one though...
  10. Just called Skoda, quoted £159! Think I'll give that a miss for now 🤣
  11. I'll let you know, will give them a call shortly! That's my thinking. I leave it on permanently and always have done. Never had an issue on cars I've had from new before! I thought the brake fluid change at 2 years was early but I'm having it done in April as I feel it's important for the service history, but air con service feels like a bit of a money maker at 2 years 😂
  12. I've had an email today advising my Octavia is due an air con service? It's 2 years old at the end of April. Is this correct as I've never serviced the air con on previous new cars within 3 years albeit they were different makes? If you have had this email previously, did you choose to get it completed? I will call Skoda tomorrow for a quote which may sway my decision!
  13. I had the update a couple of days ago however not noticed any differences yet. I've had no issues with 1896 so hoping it stays that way.
  14. Driving licence check at dealership for me, no requirement to hand over or show my keys. I was already registered as a primary user before sorted the remote lock feature if that makes any difference.
  15. Sorry to bump this thread. Anyone given the contisportcontact 7's a go? Need to swap my fronts and currently have the F1 supersports, feel they have worn quite quickly at 13k miles.
  16. Overall very happy with my Octavia. Initially some software issues however they seem to have been sorted for me with the latest update. The car performs very well both on a spirited drive and when trying to drive economically. I love the size of the boot and space inside along with the looks of the car. For the money I paid last year, I would struggle to get something else that ticks all the boxes I was looking for. I'm sure when I looked at a BMW 3 series with similar performance and spec I was looking at over 15k difference in price along with a smaller boot. This also impacted on the road tax and servicing costs.
  17. If you are driving between 50-60mph then 40+mpg is easily achievable, heavy traffic will affect that though. I have had 47mpg out of mine on a 100+ mile trip with a fully loaded car, this was generally at the speed limit too.
  18. My car was in at the dealers middle of Jan and went from 1788 to 1803 due to a number of software issues including the SOS error. Since then, I've had the parking sensor error once and front assist error pop on a few times during fog/poor weather. This is a massive improvement over 1788 where I was getting issues every other day.
  19. No I've not had any issues however I normally only have the pushchair and a few other bits in there. It has a bit of grip but obviously isn't as grippy as rubber.
  20. I used the below company, very reasonably priced and fits perfectly. https://www.bootsliners.co.uk/SKODA-BOOT-LINERS/SKODA-OCTAVIA-BOOT-LINER/
  21. I've had the same issue which the dealer can't diagnose...told I might not be using enough accelerator which clearly isn't the issue. The work around I've found is to put foot back on the brake and then it'll release (auto box). I've honestly lost interest in arguing with the dealership about the various issues now.
  22. I would recommend this company also, fits perfectly and has a good lip. Strong smell initially but wears quickly.
  23. I have the navigation but rarely use it as I prefer to use android auto and Google maps
  24. I downloaded it a couple of days ago on my Octavia. You can report roadworks and congestion similar to Google maps however I can't ever see me using it and have had no extra notifications since downloading.
  25. Yes mate, pressed OK and nothing happened?
