  1. Not the bearing the actual hub housing the big metal bracket that the bearing sits in. Mine was second hand so I had the whole unit including bearing and ABS sensor already on it and we used them as the bearing seemed fine and it was one less job to take them out and swap over

  6. The boots that cover the wires are not too bad to get out. Get a flat screwdriver and insert it at the top edge work the rubber out. Once you get the lip free then you will see the connector. You can check the wires there but then you will need to check inside of the door. You can get the screwdriver and push down to release the tabs at the same time gently pulling. Or if you take the speaker out (rivet removal though) you can push the connector into the door and then tip it to pull it back through the hole. There is a tab at the bottom also and maybe some big ones at the sides. I was replacing speakers so it was easy to see them.
  7. When you say socket holder do you mean the housing that holds the bulb?
  8. It's the ASA Automatic Sleep Assist feature
  9. For some reason I seem to remember that there maybe 2 aerials or 2 connectors at the back of the stereo so if just replacing the aerial does not work it may be worth looking at the back of the stereo to see if there is anything wrong there.
  10. Post a picture please
  11. On my car I noticed that the front alloy was badly scuffed and just thought the lady was very bad at parking near the kerb of the road. But upon further investigation when looking to replace a Lambada sensor under the car I could see that the complete let side of the suspension had been newly changed so it was obvious that she had just had an accident but did not tell me. The tyre wasn't inflated up correctly and that helped to reduce the pull. When getting the alignment I took it to 2 places as the 1st one could not get it to run straight and the 2nd place noticed there were differences in the gaps from the hub to the strut of the left side compared to the right side and also the camber on my left wheel was naturally too straight as you look at the wheel from the front. They suggested that the hub was bent. You could not tell until it was taken off and then you could see it clearly.
  12. Have you just bought this car? Is it new to you? I bought my Fabia VRS a short while ago and it was drifting to the left. I thought it just needed to be aligned but that did not cure it. It turns out upon close inspection that the left hub was bent. I have replaced the hub and now it drives straight.
  13. I use one of these cheap ice scrapers from the pound shop. I take the scrapers off and just use the brush to pull out as much of the crumbs and other stuff to the back of the car rear car mats before I hoover. Then I go again with the brush wet with cleaner. Does a great job
  14. The advice is to look under the windscreen wiper stalk on the right hand side of the steering wheel (not the Speedo clock) and you will see a button that says ok/reset. Press and hold that button
  15. I have had my nearside hub changed today. It was confirmed as being bent. No more pulling to the left. Steering is a lot lighter, responsive and no drifting.
  16. Can you tell me if these would be the correct bulbs please for the headlights on my vrs thanks https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B092JN6K85/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_1CEDBJSS9N62BD7RSQ15
  17. Did you do the actual main headlight bulbs? I would like to upgrade mine as the standard ones do not seem to be that great. Any recommendations??
  18. Door card removal 2 X 15 TORX screws at the bottom edge. Unclip the door handle Tim to expose 2 X 30 TORX. Then pry away the card from bottom up the edges. Loft the door card up. Don't pull to HRD as the alarm led wire is short.
  19. Hi, About to install a sub into the spare wheel space but noticed there was water in there from when it rained a few days ago so I had to fix it. Here is a video link of me taking off the air flaps under the rear bumper to seal them if anyone is interested it may help 🤷🏿‍♂️ as I know a of people have this problem on their Fabia. Thanks
  20. I had this code come up. When checked one of the wires had been touching something and burned/rubbed away the insulation.
  21. I have a 2011 vrs. It pulls left.. I thought the car needed alignment. Took it to 2 places and they could not get it to run straight. The right side had good camber but the left side could not reach the rec measurements. When you look at the car from the front the left wheel looks Like it stands up dead straight whilst the other has slight camber. Upon further examination of the left wheel the gap between the hub carrier and nearest part of suspension is very small whereas on the other side you can fit 2 fingers through. The mechanic thinks the hub is bent. (I did not notice as I have not had the car long and have not been driving it as I have been ripping it apart for an audio install) This may make sense as the previous owner may have had an accident. Left alloys badly scuffed and left front suspension is new. I have it booked in next Thursday for the hub to be changed. I'll get him to check and see if it's a case of (as mentioned above in the thread) that there are some adjustment bolts and somebody changed the suspension on the left and not tightened correctly or if it just the hub is bent. I will also say the pulling left improved when the tyre was pumped up to correct pressure but it still does drift abnormally.
  22. I have just fitted an Android unit and it came with the canbus box with it. So of you look at this listing that box on the right is the controller box https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0943CLB82/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_GADM22CBFBFNF46R6P5V
  23. Are you sure that is the stereo model number? If so where are you fitting it I. Your fabia as Pioneer DEH-S120UB is single din. Does your car have MFSW control buttons? You will need a canbus controller box I think
