When we bought our Octavia, if I booted it, it set the tpms off, but all tyres ok. Kept doing it and was quite annoying. Also noticed the battery in the car wasn't good, so I changed that as approaching winter. Never had a problem after with it, don't know the relationship between the tpms and the battery though, lol. Must have been a spike it dip in voltage.

So much cheaper up north, I've been quote £750 for a diamond cut refurb or £450 for power coat.

It could have, I was only doing 5/7mph, but I guess it could have started pumping.

2.0tsi DSG 2017 Reversing into a parking bay, solid tone came faster than I thought it would, so I smashed the brakes on. Thought I'd maybe hit the rear. I'm sure the brake pedal went down further and something made, what I think was, a gear slipping noise. I put it in N quickly. I checked the rear, no sign of damage. Does the gearbox release or something in reverse, if you brake really hard and fast? If you did drive up to a wall and leave it in R, would it just keep trying to drive, or would just slip the clutch, or do something else? Or do I need to try and replicate it, as there's a potential issue?

That's the one thing I wish I had, electric seats so it would do positions and wing mirror positions, based on our keys.

Well I thought that, so I waited till the end of a 2hr drive so should be well warmed up by then. But also, outside temp was 6'C

Hi all, 32k miles 2017 2.0tsi Booted it this morning, constant white smoke out the back. Normal driving nothing. 2hrs later of driving, still will do it. On drive way, tissue over the exhaust, rev it up, only goes to 4k rpm and nothing on tissue. Possible turbo seals?

I used to drive around in eco, might give it a go again. Annoying having to turn it on each time, lol

Pretty much like everything about my car, I love the DSG, but why at 30mph does it bounces between 4/5th so much, that's quite annoying. Start/stop button on the steering column a bit rubbish, I know it's cheap to just put it there, but it should be on the dash somewhere. I dislike the previous owner sprayed the extreme wheels all one colour 😄

Off the head thinking, fuse gone, but not sure they'd have one just for those lights alone. Cable broke or plug come apart. Wouldn't have thought it's anything worrisome, more an annoyance. Have you searched Google?

I had one in my 2.0tsi. I went to remove it, but it's been done by a garage already. My concern now is, if I have G13, do I need to drain a bit and plop a bit of fresh G13 in, to top up the silicates? Can you just change the whole lot to G12, are G13 and G12 compatible, as I wouldn't get all the G13 out.

If they took some of that out to check the freezing temp, they should have seen a problem! As above, sounds like the bags gone and messed things up. Certainly sounds like it if you've lost heating. It's a common fault if that happens.

I need to get my extremes refurbed. Garage sprayed them all grey, I really like the diamond cut look.

Haha, this is true, but if I'm just plodding around, or bimbling to work it's ok.

Think it's an extra, I have heated seats and screen, but not steering wheel, that's a shame lol.

For a family car it's perfect for us, so much space in the back, chucked wheel barrows in there (seats down obviously), 6x125lts bags of compost, just swallowed it up. Then it also has some poke which is nice. My only gripe on the 6spd DSG, in 30mph zones, it bounces between 4/5th, even in ECO mode.

From the top, there's a circular pin in the middle, push this down with a suitable tool, then pull the whole clip up.

All fitted, quick and easy as everyone's said. Nice mod!

Just ordered the bits, looks like will be a next weekend job. 😀
