  1. I put a Large 29er in my boot the other day with front wheel off. (Hatchback) but rear seats were down. Pretty much fell in there. I'm confident an XL would do the same. Front passenger seat is quite far back and drivers is one click off max.
  2. Ok, bit more research and its most probably the rocker cover gasket, just letting a bit through into the spark plug bore.
  3. 2017 mk3 2.0tsi 37k miles. Good or not good? Furthest from the filling point, so highly unlikely over spill..... Never topped up oil or seen blue smoke, only white like the TSI seems to do. Tip is dry.
  4. What size diameter is it? Must be around the size of a straw. Perhaps do a comparison between the two.
  5. Surely you need to get hold of Sinclair Skoda before going down the legal route? No one answered at all? Assume you're too far away to go down there?
  6. www.ebcbrakesdirect.com Don't forget topcash back as well!
  7. Metal coat hanger bent to measure discs. I've just bought EBC plain discs with black coating and yellow stuff pads. Hopefully fitting over Easter.
  8. Not something silly like residual oil in the exhaust? How many miles have you driven after replacing all the bits? Or is it pouring out?
  9. It sounds like ABS system if you have no ACC or anything. You say the RPM doesn't drop? Can you be more specific, as if the car brakes, it should lower the rpm slightly, if it's in gear. Is it doing this? And the car isn't just slowing, it's actually braking? What force of braking, gentle, hard? Is this only in the rain?
  10. Does this apply globally?
  11. I was only asking as about you say not OE, or you may be refering to the original fitted.
  12. They run it up first and do a health check. Won't proceed if anything is wrong. What plugs do you recommend @toot
  13. Missus will go made if it blows up......lol
  14. Hopefully that engine blow up was just unfortunate. Do you remember what went wrong, just the turbo go, or bent rods etc... Seems like quite a few people tune these engines with no problems.
  15. Sorry, I've booked an APR, not had it done yet, going next week. APR more well known, maybe better/easier resale. TBH, there's prob not much in it, as I put above, the garage said the other company is up and coming.
  16. Well it's done, gone with APR.
  17. Hmmm, hard to decide if APR worth the extra money. Seems racingline on here gets praise.
  18. Regal autosport Southampton. Yes Dyno, do a pre run, make sure everything's ok before proceeding. Any faults and they stop. Then flash it all and post run and checks, fueling etc.... Service due later this year, but all up together. Running Tesco 99
  19. Which tune for mk3 Octavia vrs with DSG? Place near me offers APR ECU and DSG tune for £1320 and the same but racingline for £960 He considers APR as the best, but racing line are an up and coming tuning company. Obviously they are probably trying to push the most expensive one to make the most money! He's phoning back at 1700hrs today, an speedy answers appreciated
  20. Hi all, I have 4x 19" extremes for sale with tyres. 225/35 2 of them are PS4 and quite low on thread. 2 of them are Goodyear Asy 5 with plenty of thread. Wheels had been resprayed before I bought the car and I don't think it was the best job, perhaps a tyre on, front only respray. It's a touch lighter shade than anthracite grey. I found brake dust stuck to it quite well, so I coated in Gtechniq C5 which was very good for over a year. Then as it wore off, dust started to stick again. Ultimately these need a refurb, but they polish up ok and can stay looking good, but take a bit of work. I cannot see and other defects on the wheels, they have been fine in every other way whilst I've had them. With this in mind I'm thinking - was £600, now £500 collected. I'm in Southampton
  21. Blimey, the quality of the wheels are shocking. Look at the difference of the diamond cut thickness! Zero refurbs in that will if I ever wanted too.....
  22. All look good! New tyres, ceramic coat and then they can go on!
  23. 3 more wheels been sent, no where near the 4-7weeks they said. That was just for me to take the discount and keep them. They've said they've inspected them, so let's see!
  24. I bought the OBDeleven for around £90 I think it was, so I can recode a battery myself and also use it for many other functions. So its a good investment. You could opt for the VCDS, but i think it works out more expensive. Battery + OBDeleven is the price you pay a garage just to fit a new battery and probably do it wrong.
  25. Stop/start batteries are not cheap, especially if you pay someone else to fit one. At least it's all working now and £190 over 6 years again (if it lasts that long again) isn't too bad.
