  1. Still open to offers, getting a lot of time wasters on Facebook. Be nice to sell to a serious buyer on here....
  2. Hi all, Skoda has gone, so have some surplus wheels to sell. Bought these a few years ago, direct from Skoda, Goodyear Asy 6 tyres, rotated the wheels, so approx 4 to 5mm left on all. There is only one minor mark on one wheel, shown in the photo. They were ceramic coated before the tyres went on and ate on extremely good condition. Was looking for around £950 Location Southampton
  3. Way to late now, but why does the enyaq VRS only have full power over 88% charge. Really annoying and putting me off getting one. If I go EV, I would like around 5 seconds 0 to 60, or might as well stay with the Octavia VRS we have.
  4. I want to go from our Octavia VRS, to the VRS coupe, if we went with a Skoda, but for some reason, you only get 100% power if your battery is charged over 88% Considering they say charge between 20 to 80% you'll never get to use the full power. It's a VRS, I want full power lol. Looking at a Kia 6 EV instead, but the Skoda looks more practical.
  5. Just jack on the jack points, perfectly fine. I always spray with a bit of underseal after. I do use other points as well, if I want to put an axel stand on the jack points, but hard to describe and don't have photos.
  6. I don't know how all the air blower system works, but there will be flaps to let cool or hot air in, just wondered if it's one of those a bit tight.
  7. Possibly running lean, have you mapped your car?
  8. Oh wow, that's weird. Is that from inside or outside, bonnet open? Assume engine starts and no other issues, heating blowing out all vents? Sound like a tight flap.
  9. 0w30 will be the thinnest 5w40 will be the thickest From what I remember at college, there's hydrocarbon chains that expand when they get hot in the oil. So you can have it thin for when it's cold and get around the engine for max protection, but not get even thinner when hot, like most liquids would. The higher the second number, the thicker it's acts. As for yours starting right when worked on, just way to coincidental... But if no one can see anything, that's a bit awkward.
  10. Do you have DCC, dynamic chassis control? I think you'll only find the steering changes with that.
  11. I just bought some off eBay, nothing special. Find something suitable to your costs
  12. Might be worth getting some of those cheap dehumidifier bags off eBay too.
  13. Lower control arm bushes, very common. You can take them out and grease, or I managed to get some grease in without doing that. Ultimately I replaced them.
  14. If they are poly bushes don't bother. I did mine and I'm forever greasing them to shut them up! Summer is better as it's warmer. But through winter....urgh... Unless you want them for a specific reason.
  15. From memory, the leaking rusty one you have does front windscreen and rear. The separate one to the left is headlights.
  16. Are you after a sporty tyre or more comfortable? Goodyear efficient grip for comfort. Goodyear assy 6 for sporty.
  17. You can bleed the system without vcds, as long as you suck no air in. It's quite dumb if they managed to get air in there, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did..... It sounds like they have, if it was fine before, so will need to run through the vcds procedure. Their response of 'its normal' is what I'd expect, I've never known a main garage to give a you know what.
  18. I went EBC discs and yellow stuff pads, seems to do a decent job.
  19. currently its around £59 with no subscription, does most things. I think a 1 year subscription with it is around £85 VCDS around £250 I think it is, but no yearly subscription
  20. I did when I bought mine. Have the 6spd, but I guess it's not diff. Don't know if it made much diff though?!
  21. Has it been faster in the past?
  22. RoddersUK replied to a post in a topic in Skoda Octavia Mk3 (2013 - 2020)
Yes and lower. But as you say, just do them up!
