  1. My mechanic said whoever designed those light housings needs shot. Pain in the arse to change
  2. I think I bought it on eBay. I had to trim a bit on the bottom corners to fit but it ended up okay
  3. Protective film for the 9.2 touch screen to almost eliminate finger smudges
  4. Loving my 2.0TSI 220 & it really flies down the road with the running box I fitted. Planning a proper stage one soon & would like to get a little more noise out of it under full throttle loads. What would be the cheapest way? I've already bought a bigger turbo elbow, turbo muffler delete (not fitted) & a Ram air panel filter. However, without replacing the entire exhaust I was thinking about fitting an aftermarket high flow downpipe. Open to suggestions
  5. No. That's stock ride height for sportline. I don't want to mess any more with the factory geometry. Fitted a fat (25mm) rear ARB & planning some KONI dampers sometime but springs getting left alone
  6. Bimec black hub centrics. 15 & 12mm. £130 I think it was
  7. No. 2.0 petrol Not 100% on torque but 90nm rings a bell for some reason
  8. Sorry fella. Got two threads muddled up
  9. What are your thoughts on the mod so far? Have you had it out a run?
  10. Taking a bolt out of bottom of transmission & subframe & put another in through the mount to the correct torque
  11. Bought 2 by mistake. The spare is up on eBay if anyone interested
  12. I bought this cheap mod (£73) & just had it fitted yesterday whilst in for a DSG service. Biggest improvement I thought was to steering feel. It really has seemed to tighten everything up to feeling more old BMW than old Volvo. Gear shifts are a lot better / faster feeling too eliminating all the slop. Negligible amounts of extra vibration at idle too only really being noticeable with AC running. Serious value for money mod in my opinion
  13. So, just fitted yesterday. Biggest positive outcome is the chassis & steering feeling tighter & more responsive. Reduction in drivetrain slop too is also very welcome. Also very little extra vibration (more with AC unit running). I was expecting it to be worse & so if it only improves after bedding in for a few hundred miles, I'm happy!
  14. I've just ordered the APR stainless steel one. A bit dearer, but less chance of bending out of shape like the alloy ones
  15. I fitted a TDI-tuning box & throttle pedal box to my 220tsi & am very happy with the difference. Their products are a good bit cheaper than racechip
  16. Yes, so I'd gathered from other (mostly Mk7 golf forums). I've got a petrol model & so I'd expect less clatter at low revs than a derv with one mounted. Definitely leaning towards the steel one for all the extra they seem to cost
  17. Hi folks. Has anyone tried the above? I've heard plenty about the aluminium one & also that many have bent / deformed over time. Thought I'd try one made of tougher stuff
  18. If it's a hatch, I could be the hinged rear bit if parcel shelf contacting plastic rest. I bought small sticky rubber pads which stopped the noise completely
  19. Just got one from TDI-Tuning for my 220 & it's a revelation. It feels just like a cable operated throttle on a gutsy engine of yesteryear. Only paid £130
  20. Do you have a part number / link for these thicker bushings, please?
  21. I had a bcm pack in. £700 odd all in but under warranty I'm glad to say
  22. I run pirelli SF2 All seasons. Lowest noise rating & highest comfort Inn most group tests I saw. Not quite as an accomplished all-rounder as the Michelin but decent none the less
  23. You can buy a wee cable off AliExpress for £16 delivered that permanently disables it. Plugs in under trim beside gear shifter. Save you money on new batteries over the long run. Added to that you'll never be caught out trying to get into a busy roundabout as the engine / DSG dithers
