MPG 1.0 vs 1,5 litre engines?
Over 3 years...49MPG. Long runs 60 plus. Now 6 months in latest model creeping up to very similar figures. Both 1 Ltr Auto. A lot of under one mile trips are routine.

DSG boxes on 1.0 and 1.5 engines?
With the 1 Ltr I find the DSG box excellent. Nearly imperceptible changes and 60 MPG on steady cross country runs. After three years (49 MPG overall) I have updated to the new model. Very low growl (In the new car) in each gear and no doubt this and the MPG will get better in due course! Have had many automatics over 60 plus years and the DSGs are amazing. No doubt the boy racers will love the paddles!!!!!!!!

Suitable Under Seat Stowage Box
I use a lidded plastic box that is a snug fit under the drivers seat. I stick a couple of pieces of sticky back hooked velcro under the box which secures it in place....but just pulls out easily. The passenger seat has a first aid box secured the same. PS. Bought mine on the internet where a vast array of sizes are available....have bought many over the years.

Kamiq corroded rear brake discs
I also have the dreaded 12K miles 2 year rear disc advisory. It's suggested I change on next service in 12 months. What is the current Skoda price to supply and fit rear discs and pads Please? May well go Brembo but need a comparison.

Kamiq -SE - No Sat Nav! Dog friendly?!
I use the Kamiq equipped satnav but also use Osmand on my phone for many years and in many countries. Battery usage no problem and doesn't require online data on foot, bike or car. There are other low priced phone based options

FWIW. I found the Puma much more expensive than the equivalent Kamiq when purchasing 14 months ago. About £2000?

Help with 2022 kamiq 1.0 SE
Fortunately, mine doesn't talk to me I just get the gentle wheel twitch. If it did I would turn off the voice or even the lane assist if I couldn't silence it!

Help with 2022 kamiq 1.0 SE
I left the lane assist active on my new Kamiq....simply to see what happens. After 12 months and a few thousand miles I find it perfectly acceptable. It is simply a gentle twitch on the wheel. Most times there is a reason and very occasionally there is no reason............(mostly when I don't signal a lane change). My driving experience is long and varied and treat it as another welcome safety feature added to todays road vehicles.

Looked everywhere in my SE-L then found it on the centre console by the arm rest between the seats.

quick questions, entry/exit and engine size
Just bought a Kamiq......after a KIA Ceed and many other cars. Front seats are pumped high and with the DSG box on the 110 BHP engine. It's much easier to get in due to the seat height compared to all 'normal' cars. The doors open squarer to the body than most. The 110 engine gives a remarkably good performance. Seems to get voted top in all the comparison and individual reviews! Good Luck😉

Rear brake discs considered OK and not yet bedded in after a workshop inspection. Will wait and see what happens in the next few months and a few more miles.

How many advanced drivers?
Passed my IAM test in 1959...I think my number was 11.000 ish! Have never paid my subs so never registered and never bought a badge! It's kept me safe as these days I am aware of my deteriorating faculties and make due allowances. Having raced and rallied a long time ago helps me be aware of parts of 'driving' that many have never known. I certainly have no problem with extra tests of any kind...but I think they should start a few months after the initial test....it seems that that is as long as a young persons memory lasts these days?!!! Stay safe😉😀

Booklets, Manuals and Documents supplied with New Car
When buying our new Kamiq we spent a few hours in front of the salesman trying to absorb the vast amount of legal and sales blurb which was all totally irrelevant to owning and operating a car! Even the mixture of handbook, videos and Skoda Connect never seem to answer the actual question I want an answer to! Our motto is now...."Press and Guess"😲 The car itself is brilliant thought!
