Good afternoon. I have recently swapped keys and successfully set my memory seat and wing mirrors to my settings, number 1. I seem to have lost the handy nearside wing mirror dip whilst reversing, I have searched here but none of the answers seem to work. It also used to revert to normal position when I turned the ignition off. I have mk2 Superb Elegance 2.0 tsi. I use the feature a lot due to using passing places up here. Any advice welcome.

Afternoon all. Does anyone know the most recent product code for my 2012 2.0 tsi PCV valve please? Mixed messages online and want the current update of course. My current one is attached in the picture, not sure if it's the original from new.

Mondays service was at 5k not 10k interval.

Dsg at 30k, am now on 60k, previous owner was extremely fastidious, I called the garage where he had the services done, they confirmed it. I had the sparks done, VW ones, at 50k service. Its the most serviced car I have ever purchased, he did everything by the book. I only do island roads so zero traffic and idling, sit in 6th gear mainly and stick it in Sports once a week up to 7k revs.

I looked on YouTube. I have put the Bosch paper filter in this morning. I don't think it will affect the performance of my 197bhp TSI!

Car was serviced Monday, all good, the ignition speed seems to have gone back to normal. My mechanic said the oil level was fine. Very odd, but glad it's now spark or timing.

Good evening. My car came with a Pipercross 1621 when I bought it. I have taken it out and washed it, as instructed. My question is, do I need to oil it? Their website is very vague and not much info on this model. I would rather not oil it. I have read some are dry foam and some need oiling. I will put in the standard paper one I have from Bosch rather than risk the MAF getting oiled! Any advice welcome.

I found the answer with some deep digging. Normal seat set up, then without opening the door, take the key out of the ignition and press OPEN once. Once it bongs, you have swapped keys.

Good evening all. I am wanting to swap my tired key with my wife's nearly new key for my car. My setting is number 1 on the memory seat, hers is 2. Is it simply a case of ignition on, her key in, press SET and 1 together and that is it? Or is there more to it? Will that key then activate my settings after unlocking? Any advice welcome

I checked it last week, was spot on, but I will check it tomorrow. I check it weekly as its a TSI. Thank you.

It just cranked quicker 3 times today. We all know our cars eh.

I wait until all my needles point the right way, as in coolant and fuel, key in sounds all stop, then I turn it on to start the engine. It always starts first time, just seems quicker, does not sound as normal to me is all. I don't drive the car in the morning until the revs drop below 1k, auto choke done its job.

All is well? Even though its starting faster? Good to hear, I know its better than starting slower. I, like all of us on here, know their Superb intimately, it just sounds faster. Drives as normal, which is silly fast on our great roads up here, but just noticed it today.

Good evening. My 2.0tsi seems to be starting quicker than usual, not sure if it's weather, warm here, or something else. It sounds like a second quicker than normal, I always wait until all the start ups do their thing, then do the last turn of the key. It happens 3 times today after short intervals of car use. Am on 60k miles. Any thoughts welcome.

Evening all. Just a bit of advice needed on cleaning my 2.0 tsi throttle body please. Leave it on and clean using my extendable mirror, it faces down by the looks of it, or take it off to clean? If I take it off does it need a reprogram? Thank you.

Morning. I followed your advice Jayw13702. The tape worked very well, I cleaned the plate areas with white spirit etc. I used masking tape to line up the rear one. The rear especially looks so much neater without those naff screw caps. Thanks again.

Thanks for that mate I have some heavy duty velcro and also found some of that tape in my box of odds and ends. I am replacing the original plates as they have the original dealer on them plus the GB logo. Too much clutter for me!

Good evening. I have new plates for the Superb, the old ones are secured with self tappers. I am thinking of sticking them on instead, for neatness, anyone else used tape, velcro or those Halfords red strips? The front plate is slightly curved of course. Any advice welcome. Thanks.

Good afternoon. I have the 6 speed DSG and a sloped driveway but have never had what you have described, I don't think it's the gearbox. Any clunking whilst driving and especially on turning a certain direction?

Ah, that's cool, turn mine off/down in the summer here.

Quick update. We had heavy rain and thick cloud today, checked what dimmed on rolling the switch. Dash, radio, DSG letters and I think climate controls. Hope this helps.

The part looks right according to Skoda. Be careful with the aftermarket part, just my opinion, not fact. The memory seat is great if you have two key holders, the mirrors adjust also. I live in the land of 23 hour daylight this time of year, but if I recall my dimmer does the dashboard and my DSG box letters also. Please ask away, that's what this great site is for mate. It's saved me hundreds in the last year.

It looks right. I can check mine tomorrow if you like, my Elegance came with it. If I take off the control fascia panel it should match what you have. Weird that they would remove such a great feature.
