  1. I thought there was but I couldn't find it in the manual this morning. I basically want it to store energy while I drive. Usually it doesn't store more than 3 or 4 miles worth.
  2. I got the message that I could download the 1941 update again today. I always get it when I'm either driving or about to drive, and it says the update cannot be installed while you're driving. I'm wondering if that's what keep making it disappear? It's never in the notifications dropdown when I look later.
  3. Does anyone find the volume control on the steering wheel stops working when you turn the engine off?
  4. Good points. The MK4 seems quite messy. I haven't used a flash drive with it yet, just my phone. I liked the SD card slot in the mk3
  5. This looks quite cool: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/285473609551?hash=item42778d974f:g:VMcAAOSwmahk-uQx&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwCiSE3ud9Zyle5XC4Sd1qQBXdvSrmOg7NEDS8dBk%2FVtJfeoIakxvPl4cdwQ3880jLqqFamBsl7TjulDOSgMuJjbeA84HhbIrRBlKmkCckWU6bJLToatSDByIEbTQwkvtIgh6Sxo0WwgdH31ZUbBgHoflOM8G7qOVezWPzWBjYVfvVzUUzD%2FsMQ0Qp8qJ9vvpGgVb8qK9roXhgW6Kh9NhXZp2PWTJAfNI2RD16c9NxxlvXKsWvHZ%2BktnnCa7YsAd6UA%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR5z6y7n4Yg
  6. Is it normal for the wall plug in the house to feel quite warm when you've been granny charging for a few hours?
  7. Am I seeing things or does that have a 12V "cigarette lighter" socket plug?
  8. And it's probably to protect the cells?
  9. I would really like a parametric equaliser rather than the three band graphic equaliser so that I can fine tune the sound to my liking. I find it quite V-shaped, there's a dip in the midrange. The bass is very clear and the upper midrange is prominent but you cant adjust it properly with what they give you.
  10. What sort of USB sticks do you guys use? Really needs to be something small so it doesnt stick out too much.
  11. So you're only doing it to negate the LA? Or you could just turn LA off and not have to.
  12. Musk is such an ass hat. He's made a mess of twitter as well.
  13. Sure. Just seems a bit ridiculous for some software that uses existing hardware.
  14. Doesn't anyone else think they're charging a bit much for things like this?
  15. I'd love to know why it just seems to disappear with mine so often.
  16. Cannot agree. It is not particularly useful and tries to steer for you. Far better to turn it off and then you don't have to predict it doing anything. I would keep it on for long motorway drives where your attention may be in danger of dropping. That is all. Additionally I was taught by an ex traffic cop to use my mirrors when changing lanes and if there is nothing in the lane I'm pulling out into then no need to indicate. And returning to the left lane on a two lane dual carriageway no need to indicate.
  17. That's strange. I would have thought it should have been possible to activate it in all cars. How much does activation cost these says? I bet they charge a fortune just for an activation code.
  18. To be honest it's still good, just annoying that the update system seems very hit and miss. I think most of the major problems were back in 2020-2021.
  19. I agree with this. Intensity is important. Sometimes the orange merges into the red.
  20. You can still coast if you go up the hills slower, though. Amazing how quickly you gain speed going downhill after a long uphill.
  21. If it's a decent hill you'll get plenty of regen on the way down anyway. I would think saving fuel on the way up is more important as regen is 60-70% efficient.
  22. Yes. I do it a bit less when someone is behind me. Most people dont think about this though - maintaining speed uphill is going to use a lot more fuel.
  23. I don't find it necessary and it does nudge when I really do t want it too which is just distracting when I know what I'm doing on the road. I want to feel feedback from the road through the steering wheel, not lane assist nudges. The only time I'd keep it on is if I'm on a long motorway journey. I also prefer the speed limiter to cruise control as cruise control isn't the best for saving fuel if the road isn't flat. It's better to slow slightly on uphill sections and use downhills to gain speed. That saves fuel.
  24. Sure if you indicate there is no nudge. I'm talking about when you aren't actually changing lanes and it feels the need to nudge you, even though you know what you're doing. Also I suspect it would nudge you if someone comes round the corner too fast towards you and drifts across the line so you take evasive action to the left. That wouldn't be appreciated either.
