First lot were dripping everywhere. Second lot one had a sheen and the other was dripping. Asked them to check on a service and they confirmed they'd gone again. Haven't got much faith in the new ones as the boot had failed to open quite a few times since they were fitted :(
-
my first set took about 3 months. When they went again the service guy informed me they were on backorder again so we were to brace ourselves for a long wait. They the turned up a week later
-
lol! Limited until they want to build some more!
-
lol. Our opinions differ then. Sounds like you're talking about sport mode via the gear stick which is different?
-
It depends as well if you have a manual or dsg. I'm on a dsg and I tend to use all three. Sport via individual or normal on A roads and twistys. Eco on the motorway when I'm just bumbling along or on ACC. We've a lot of hills in North Wales so I find Eco increase the mpg by quite a bit when coasting downhill (with ACC off)
-
so you had a crash then or you applied the brakes and the system didn't need to intervene?
-
Nope. The oil seal has gone. When they are new they are dry
-
I'm on my third set now
-
sorry typo. It was Eco I use it when it's appropriate. On motorways or long hills where I can take advantage of the coasting function and the mpg climbs up. Never use it on normal roads or when "making progress"as its too sluggish
-
Always get more mpg in econ

have you asked skoda assist to provide a car for you? If not you should as you've got more chance of getting one out of them than the dealer when its towed

The Briskoda drive recorder video footage thread part 2
sworrall replied to TeflonTom's topic in Off Topic Chat
its the LEDs strobing on the video -
it was in their uk website? They should make their minds upOh and they should also sack their ps guy for his halfords sized wheels in the wheel arches. As if a vRS would ever be that low or fill the arches! :(

Jeez :( -
it will only respond at the extreme so you'll hopefully not see the red demon popping up for a few months yet. Mine triggered the other day when a van in lane 1 started drifting into lane two as I was passing him. He was only about 4-6 inches over the white line so its very good.(he moved back after I got my red bleep and the auto dab on the breaks to warn me)

Wheel Alignment and Adaptive Cruise Control
sworrall replied to Sak's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Well after phoning my Skoda service contact about a nasty wheel bearing sound he got me to check for sharp edges on the tyre and lo and behold he said they were saw toothed and Id have to get it 4 wheel aligned. After getting new rear tyres (they didnt have much left) I got it aligned on a hunter rig. Funnily enough the guy who did it did my mkii VRS which had done the same thing (sawtoothing and was a common problem) He mentioned they'd had a lot of golfs in from the mqb platform for the same thing The new tyres solved the wheel bearing noise and hopefully now it wont return as easily after the alignment as it was out. Im also going to rotate mine now as Ive noticed my F1's arent directional. -

I had mine done and was praying it didn't knock the sensor out of alignment. Luckily it didn't -
Front assist "not available"

Thats terrible! One of the salesmen told me a while back about the boss ordering the staff to jack the cars down at the shows but have never seen any evidence of it until now. He said they did it with the monte carlo as well. PS, how come Skoda can never get their cars to run low yet the golfs and audi cars fill the arches better? Is it different springs?

as above check if it needs cleaning and if not its back to the dealer. Ive had it with snow and a big fat leaf that got stuck in there. -
ACC :: Does it replace standard cruise control?
sworrall replied to InSides's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
nope. You unclog the snow
