6 year bump but what’s the general feeling as I’m about to replace my front pads , Brembo or pagid ?

The green line in the top right corner , does that indicate how full the a/c is or is it just there for show ? Been told I need a re-gas but it seems fine to me

68 plate , ended up getting £1k scrap for it as was quoted £3.5k to repair it

I’m just a bit twitchy as my previous car also used as a taxi ,Octavia 1.6 tdi , the belt snapped at 93k

I also drive a 1.5 tsi and use it as a taxi, my question is how much does the lifespan of a cambelt decrease with the considerable extra amount of stop/starts the belt is used for daily as a taxi ?

I’m looking for a front wing for my Octavia 3 2019,OEM : 5E0821105C but struggling. there are however plenty available for the Octavia 3 2013-2017 with the OEM: 5E0821105A, same number but letter at end changes. my question is are they both the same fit and am I ok to buy either ?

Air filter has been replaced , oil and filter due to be done today but it’s raining so that can wait

@Rooted I’ve recently changed the spark plugs myself at approx 55k and they looked absolutely fine and made me question whether they needed changing , I’m far from knowledgable on these matters though

Apologies , was a 1.6 tdi Car was used for private hire so had a higher than average stop/starts during that period Now have a 1.5 tsi also being used for private hire , current mileage 63k and im getting a bit twitchy

What’s the fine/points if any for ignoring this sign. There’s a shortcut I use regularly and the other day and I’m only speculating but the police were talking to a motorist on the road. I have googled the question without much joy

Same problem again ,light not coming on when doors,open only done 54k. mine does get used more than most as it’s used as a private hire car I have ordered a second hand one of eBay for £40 but there’s no say in how long it’ll last whats the best site to use for buying new Skoda parts ?

I had the attached message on my dash this morning , followed the instruction and my steering wheel had a mind of its own for a second spinning both ways. It’s the second time it’s happened and driven perfectly fine after. can anyone shed any light on it as I’ve searched and found nothing , thanks

Never done it before as I’ve always had a diesel prior to my current 1.5 tsi is there a step by step guide anywhere ? On going on euro car parts and entering reg it’s coming back with 2 different sets , how do I know which to buy ?

I took it elsewhere , I asked in advance if they were happy to work on a private hire vehicle

Tried to book my private hire car in yesterday with a local garage , as soon as I mentioned it was used as a taxi he told me they were unable to work on it as they wouldn’t be insured to test drive it. If I was able to be present at the time then that would be fine. He told most garages are either unaware or just ignore it loads *******s or is he right ?

Is there much difference in mpg in eco to normal mode, I’m a taxi driver so do plenty miles but as I’m stop start a lot I just don’t bother and leave it on normal ?

I know the chances are low when a cambelt snaps but what chance if any do I have that it’s just purely belt replacement and no other damage to engine ?

My 68 plate 1.6tdi has just snapped at 91k, was getting rid of it this week as well , gutted 🥲

I’ve just gone from diesel to petrol Octavia for the first time and was wondering why the petrol filter never needs changing ?
