  1. It depends on what is currently fitted, as there's two possible manufacturers which aren't interchangeable
  2. We're currently offering a price reduction on our Cruise Control retrofit for the mk3 Octavia. https://eastyorkshireretrofits.co.uk/products/octavia-iii-genuine-cruise-control-system-ccs?_pos=6&_sid=5036e9af4&_ss=r
  3. You need to code the Canbus gateway so it's aware the KLR is installed Can't comment on the coding issue you're having as I've never used obdeleven
  4. This isn't compatible with MQB-Evo as the gateways are different. You may get away with fitting it elsewhere as it only requires power, ground & connection to the correct lin-bus. However the MQB-evo KLR modules are different so I'm unsure how you'd get on
  5. Easiest way to tell once installed is just by the output on screen. Take a picture of that and the camera itself 🙂
  6. We have customers regularly travelling from the extremes of the country 🚗 Skoda say this because they can't do it. Dealers are extremely restricted in the scope of their work Please send us a message with your VIN 🙂
  7. This is exactly how the system would look and operate from the factory 🙂
  8. 2021 Skoda Octavia fitted with Blind spot assistant Cross traffic alert We have previously fitted this car with a genuine reversing camera www.eastyorkshireretrofits.co.uk facebook.com/Eastyorkshireretrofits
  9. You don't have to use an SVM adapation document It just means if the Canbus gateway or the infotainment unit is returned to the factory configuration by a dealer for any reason then you'll need to redo the coding in that module. Not the end of the world
  10. Personally I wouldn't be using aftermarket cameras with a brand new car (or any car) The aftermarket ones for MIB3 interrupt the video supply to the display, as the genuine cameras send video via ethernet
  11. Yes it's possible to install it However if their parts system says there isn't a kit available for it then it's no can do as it's impossible for them to parameterise the camera without an activation document (unless they get technical support involved and they'd likely say no because it's not an "approved" modification - ie not a Skoda kit). They'll also struggle to code it as the majority of dealers, including master techs aren't capable of doing much with ODIS outside of guided functions
  12. When removing the trim on the end of the dash, if the tech is an idiot then it's possible to pop the airbag switch open and this would then allow them the chance of reassembling it incorrectly 👀 However why they'd take that trim off to replace a module above the driver footwell I'm unsure
  13. Skoda Octavia 3.5 fitted with LED headlights, including self levelling All completely error free, looking & operating as if factory fit 🤙 We have previously fitted this car with; •Powerfolding mirrors •Multicolour front & rear footwell lighting •Multicolour front & rear door card lighting •Virtual cockpit •Sports displays
  14. No FEC needed for speed limiter 👀
  15. Reviving an old thread for anybody who may come across this and wonder what the answer is Speed limiter can be enabled by fitting new stalks and 30 seconds of coding. No FEC required for it 🙂
  16. Unfortunately dealers have to do things strictly by the book resulting in the answer of not possible
  17. We can't help you with VCDS alone sorry. You need access to a VAS6154/6154A The wiring you've put a screenshot of doesn't mention the camera at all. Where have you wired the camera to?
  18. What diagnostic equipment do you have? Where have you connected your wiring? What coding have you done?
  19. Canbus & ethernet. Far from plug and play It's important that the camera contains the correct dataset for the car - these cameras are extremely sensitive about this It's also important that the camera, infotainment unit & Canbus gateway are all coded correctly & that the ethernet connection is in the correct port on the gateway. The gateway & infotainment unit have SFD
  20. Dealers don't get to choose when it comes to restoring FECs. It restores whatever the mothership says is valid for your VIN. I'm unsure why an invalid fec would cause issues if there's a valid one alongside it We need to know the VIN & read the individualisation characteristic
  21. I had my formentor for a year and it always wanted just a slight bit too much force applied grip wise. There were some that required replacement early on, I've a feeling mine may have been one of those despite not hitting the requirements Good to hear Skoda aren't having the same issues
  22. How tight would you say you have to grip it for it to be happy? I'm now wondering if my formentor wheel was one of the early problematic ones 🤦‍♂️
  23. Capacitive wheels require a good amount of contact between your hand and the wheel. You can't gently rest/loosely hold it. They're annoying as hell You'd have been better off getting one of the modules that are fitted to the canbus gateway. Usually much cheaper and you can hold the wheel as loose/tight as you fancy
  24. They don't need any paperwork to reactivate factory features, it's a guided routine within ODIS so it would be interesting to see what's happened there 👀 TSR we need to take some info from the car before hand, then it can take up to a week to get the activation information
