Looking at some monroe shockers £58 each have the same 1TO part number but sent them a message and the photo and reg details

We’ll spring had snapped in the middle so when I got the shocker out the shaft just slipped down and falls out when you tip it upside down,, so new shockers required 🤣 Would there be only one type for me or are others compatible just thinking with it been sports suspension 🤷🏻‍♂️

Morning peeps,, still need to do springs but I’m also looking at new discs and pads all round looking on EBC site (always buy ultimax ) and they list Bosch or TRW calliper For the rears is there a way to tell without dismantling??? To know Which type I have.. also the fronts say ATE ?? Calliper same again can I tell which type I have and what size discs ??? Can measure front disc as I’ll be working on the fronts 🤣,, oh callipers are red so would want 4 rebuild kits also,, not that the red means anything 🤣,, but guessing if I replace callipers it’ll more expensive than NOT red callipers 🤣 thanks peeps

I’ll give that a go captain,, like I said in last comment having issues with no hot air been blown out and now it does now so I don’t wanna touch it 🤣🤣. Seriously need to buy a reader to aid in finding the fault what does the auto do ?? Switch between AC and normal blower ??

Yeah mate it’s always on low speed due to sometimes it doesn’t blow out warm air if I mess with the temp settings or turn it off completely

Good afternoon peeps,, are there any specific places to look for water ingress??? My carpets are dry or at least to touch my wheel well is dry but I have an issue with moisture on windows I’ve noticed it seems worse after a good downpour but everything always seems dry,; it’s really quite bad that I almost need wipers on the inside 🤣🤣 just wondered if there were any places that water can gather inside ??? thanks peeps,..

My Febi gearbox oil has arrived 3 litres of it,, I’ve heard the numbers 2.6ltr and 2.3ltr do I not just fill it until it just dribbles out the fill hole ?? Or is the right amount needed to be put in ?? Or am I just misinterpreting the amount ?? and you do just fill it until it comes out and the litres figures are just so I know how much it should take 🤣🤣 thanks peeps,, I’m such a numpty at times and I’m sorry for the stupid questions 🤣

I was even starting to think if someone had put a tint on the windscreen and someone else had peeled it off and it’s left glue residue 🤣,,, it’s just weird that even a green scouring pad doesn’t even help ,,, when it’s clean it looks great but as soon as I get mist it looks awful it’s patchy but more bad around the edges and top dash bottom of window,,, pikpilot I’m wondering if it is overspray from previous owners my try thinners or meth spirt and see if that helps 👍🏻

Morning peeps,, no matter how many times or what I seem to use there always seems to be some kinda residue on the screen 🤬. My first thought was coolant from a buggered matrix but I never put any coolant in. It’s starting to drive me to point of thinking about replacing the piggin windscreen 🤣🤣 anyone have any idea what this could be as I’m losing my mind try to get it off madder a pic but it’s a bit hard to see it 🤣

Think I need to buy a manual for this car 🤣 im a weirdo and change all fluids on my cars mainly because I’m unsure of what previous owners had put in (if they had changed anything 🤣) I once bought a Focus that when I changed the box oil it had none in we’ll just a smidge topped it up and noticed oil leaking from drive seal so had to drop oil and change the drive shaft seals had been driving it for about 3 months before I decided to change 🤣🤣,,, that’s why I change stuff just so I know 🤣🤣

Morning peeps would anyone happen to know if you can still buy new seat bases and backs ??? my drivers seat base is all collapsed on the right hand side due to getting in and out and the back is also getting like it. the covers are perfect so no need to replace them. it’s a vRS 2010 so guess the cushions will be different to standard one maybe thanks peeps.

Definitely purchase new like you say captain,, when they cheap enough it’s a no brainier in my book,, it’s pretty instant the brake and no real feel to it,, but I do have a lot of brake dust on the rear wheels so maybe they had been binding due to over tightening the cable ??
