  2. this is the coolant level now it’s actually lower than usual ??? It normally sit around the neck since noticing this issue but does sometimes go back to normal level ,, I never top up the coolant it loses nothing only if I open and it spits out do put a tad bit in 🤣,, this is or seems like it’s very intermittent?? As the past 3 days it’s been super high and today it’s back to been normal still had some pressure in system but not what I’d call excessive?? going try and book it in on Saturday for a sniff test for head gasket and get the thermostat and coolant changed plus a flush out of engine and radiator to see if there is a blockage?? obviously if sniff test comes back positive then I don’t know what to do,, 😢 either buy a new car or spend god knows how much doing head gasket belt and water pump ££££££££ 🤣 only noticed it 2 week ago as we went for a day out and I thought just check oil and coolant level this opening cap it spat some out 🤣🤣 and I thought ehh that’s not right

Good afternoon peeps,, long time away but if possible could I ask a question regarding pressure in coolant system??? mine seems awfully firm to press hahaha the coolant level is always near the top of the tank but I can’t squeeze the pipes they really firm,, if I leave over night and try they still firm and when I remove the cap all the coolant spits out,, I’ve replaced cap with a new one,, she doesn’t over heat can go up to 100 but she’ll drop down when driving I get the occasional temp light on but when I check it’s full,, any ideas why it’s like this could thermostat be fooked,,, it also warms up pretty quick and get to 60 degrees in about a mile or so thanks peeps.
  4. Afternoon peeps,, changing rear wheel bearing on my 2010 2.0ltr VRS,,, and looking around online on how to guides the torque setting seems to be different on everything I read or see 🤣🤣,, is it #16 socket and 180nm + 180 degrees??,,; 148nm only or 200nm only,, thanks peeps
  5. I’m even more confused so is that good or bad,, just can’t understand why my revs hold at 1000rpm every 2 weeks,, gunna change me EGR valve and take me inlet off coz I’m now get flap stuck open on cylinder 1 ,,, 🤣🤣,, but I still love the car even though it’s throwing Wobblies. 🤣

  8. Well came home did a bit of shopping with the other half and then thought I’d go get the laptop,, plugged in turned it on yes you’ve guessed it my lad has flattened the battery and not bothered to charge it back up 🙄🤣,, it’s on charge ready for tomorrow 👍🏻
  9. Hmmmm ?? battery ??? Mine does occasionally ping from the dash and I don’t know why ?? Never had an issue with it not starting? But my dials do sweep every time I start it,, remember with my ford if it did it I was a battery issue
  10. My regen light has never come on but every 2 weeks the revs hold at 1000 rpm and if I don’t take it for a quick 20 mile spin it can be in for a couple of days then it stops. never had it in limp mode neither if I tell it it’s new how would I go about doing that ??? Can it be done through VCDS

  13. Cheers guys really appreciate all the advice, I suppose baring taking it for a drive again,,my only options are DPF delete or a new one at about £1000 or find out if somewhere can clean it out (with a Jack hammer 🤣)

  17. tried to use VCDS to force regenerate the DPF,, due to car every 2 weeks seems to hold the revs at 1000tpm even when I’ve blasted it down the motorway,, (60 mile round trip) it says press brake then throttle but then shows the screen above,, am I doing something wrong 🤣?? I know I should have taken a photo of the readings but I forgot think something said 90 but can’t remember 🤣🤣,, would anyone know what the readings should be between??? Car is a 2.0l tdi VRS 2010 124k thanks peeps
  18. Morning mate,, not done this but I too am thinking about changing to an android system. You can buy new facias to suit the mk2 and I think the surround just pops off and a few screws to release the radio,, add a dab Ariel would a bit of a faff routing wire to window but doable,, some people buy off AliExpress I’ve had some bits off there and I can’t complain them,, pretty sure they’ll do a radio and all the surround cheapish,, wiring the radio would mean splicing or making a loom to fit the new radio,, I’ll do a loom just so I can easily go back to the bolero if needed,, you may even be able to buy a loom to fit the car but not to sure ??

Morning peeps,, first post for a while as all been going pretty good with me car I purchased the Ross-tech reader to diagnose any issues with the car and hey Hoe she had a few that my cheap reader don’t pick up says glow plug cylinder 1–fault O2 sensor—- fault (rich) air quality sensor—-fault turbo actuator——fault EGR——fault (intermittent) how easy are plugs to replace ?? Done them on a focus so have a basic idea 🤣 thanks peeps
  20. The one I bought matches the original one as I made sure of that 😂,,, I’ve been messing with it and it does move it a little but not sure it’s because I’ve opened n shut door serval times so thinking dodgy wire Cheers though captain,

Good morning peeps,; I’ve just purchased another mirror adjustment stick thing as my mirrors needed a tweak,, but when I moved to adjust they don’t move, pass side won’t come in and drivers side won’t go out all other movement works,,, is it a possibility that there maybe a wire break ?? Or what are the chances that both mirror motors have kinda failed thanks peeps
  22. Second post now 🤣🤣 checked my car for codes and it now has a new one ??? P2015 inlet something or other i had this on my mk1.5 ST170 and the IMRC was at fault (same code) but my car doesn’t have an IMRC (inlet manifold runner control) would this be the inlet with the swirl flaps in?? Could it be the motor on the side ?? It does have that little stopper thing fitted to stop it over rotating and it’s the plastic inlet not the metal one,, I changed this and the motor due to swirl flaps being excessively loose and practically falling out. cheers peeps

Morning peeps,,, not messaged for a while due to car being ok (for a change 🤣) but my VRS 2010 has no reverse sensors so I’m fitting a cheap aftermarket kit,,, had them fitted to other cars so I know they help,, as I keep forgetting this doesn’t have them and nearly back into things 🤣🤣,, would anyone know what colour the live would be on the reverse bulb wiring ?? And would the bumper have the marks on the inside where the factory fitted sensors would sit ?? my old focus had the location marks on the inside to help with height and position thanks peeps ill do my other post now 🤣🤣
