  1. Thanks mate ill have a look and see he did say someone has probably just tightened it to make it pass I’ll definitely have a look to see if they both are seated on the stops,, then I’ll rebuild and renew discs n pads if not

Good morning peeps,, had car in for MOT and only failed on a drop link,, but a couple of advisory?? 1- indicator bulb- changed all 4 2- both wishbones 3- said handbrake only just met efficiency my handbrake has next to no travel (always has) and is quite stiff to pull, tried putting WD40 on the handbrake cover bit in the rest to no joy,, he said it could need callipers servicing or the handbrake cable/s could be knackered and binding inside. how many cables are there ?? 2 straight from the lever or do they join to a 3rd one ?? thanks peeps
  3. G12+ is what has been put in by me as I hadn’t a clue when it was done last ?? I did this about 4 months ago and as far as I’m aware I have had no issues since doing this. Only kinda noticed due to not having any warm air from the vents (about a week ago) thus making me check out coolant level and noticing the pressure,,, coolant level when I changed was upto the minimum mark and I have never put any extra in since doing this. I’m kinda thinking that this pressure issue is when I don’t get any hot air from the vents. I have just topped up tonight like I said because I’ve been trying to release pressure and coolant squirting out in the process pikpilot I’ve just noticed your G13 spec coolant but I’ve put G12+ could this be the issue ???? Wrong spec maybe ???
  4. Cheers for help mate,, the coolant level was level with the top of the cap when cold,, I checked it this morning and there was next to no pressure in and the coolant level was normal. When I got in to drive home the the red temp light came on so I topped it back up when I got home. Probably a cup full but I probably lost that releasing the pressure. how the help can one day it have so much pressure then 2 days later it be normal 🤣🤣. I’ll be keeping an eye on the level and I think I’ll go at weekend to garage and see if they can do the sniff test and see if exhaust gases are getting in the coolant

Morning peeps, been out for a drive for awhile and when parked up I thought I could here a slight hissing noise,, open bonnet and I could here air leaking from the expansion tank ??? when I grabbed the top radiator hose it was solid and I could hardly squeeze it,,, is this right surely it should not have that much pressure in it,, what could be the likely symptoms that could cause this. not losing oil no sludge on cap or in oil could a stuck thermostat cause this?? It still only sits at 90degrees thanks peeps

  8. Cheers mate I need to try and get me hand in and see if it does move but when hot it goes into kinda like limp mode it still drives but has no boost. Turn ignition off and on and it’s ok again but she does have the turbo whistle too

Good morning peeps,, having issues with turbo p2563 control position sensor range/performance so was thinking of trying to remove DPF from back of turbo and try the Mr muscle on the back side to see if this can help remove some crap and see if this can free up the sensor reading,,, before I need it purchase a new complete turbo has any one removed the DPF ??? only need enough to squirt in the foam am I right in thinking it would just be a case of undoing the clamp and possibly any bolts so that the DPF can just slide slightly to allow access,,, or is there another way to get to the back side of the vanes cheers peeps
  10. Cheers mate,, when at work yesterday I did open bonnet and hold the 2 heater pipes. One was warm the other cold but this morning it was nice and toasty but on the way home last night I was playing around with controls and that seemed to make it become hot as I got down my street and like this morning super toasty
  11. Good morning peeps,, this morning and a few other times I’ve had my heater on windscreen hot setting and it’s only blowing cold air??? The temperature gauge is on 90 but still only cold air,,, but if I turn off a couple of times it suddenly then becomes hot and the temp gauge drops to around 70-80 ?? anyone have any ideas thanks peeps

Finally got round to getting the new Pirelli tyres fitted,, and so glad I did 🤣,, I new they we’re boarding bald but not that bald inside edges were showing wires 🤣,,, she was all tracked up also and they said fronts were well out,, but straight now,. No issues with the alloys neither, apart from bubbling on inner edges but they filed them and sealed new tyres on,,she now feels a lot more easier to drive…… also when he drove it onto the ramp to do tracking my management light went out too 🤷🏻‍♂️🙏🏻 so let’s hope that a good omen and not a bad one 🤣🤣

  14. Good morning gents,, hoping someone can shed some light on an issue I’ve just noticed?? Over the past couple of weeks when my car seems to get hot (running temp) for a while when I stop I can’t get first gear and sometimes second it’ll go into any other gear perfectly. If I choose 3rd it’ll will go into first and second but sometimes it will not so I have to start in 3rd ?? It does this I think more in stop start traffic but then it’s like it clears and will pop into gears ok?? Anyone have a clue as to why or what I can look for,,, haven’t check fluid level yet any other time it goes into gears fine no clunking and biting point is about halfway up from the floor and if I leave handbrake it and set off it does stall (if I let it ) thanks peeps

I’ve bought a new egr boost control valve as it was only £60 and gunna fit that and see if that helps,, then I’m going to take it to a garage and see if they have VCDS and check my DPF is ok (I suspect not) and get any other codes and maybe try to regenerate the DPF (other issues I’m having I think) but yeah mr muscle and egr replacement possibly next
  16. do you mean this code as I’ve got the exact same one 🤣🤣. I too am thinking Mr muscle but need to see if there’s an entry point to the back of the turbo, on quick look I’m thinking I may need to remove the DPF section to gain access from there but maybe/hopefully there’s another option

  18. Morning peeps,, going to be getting all my tyres changed either this weekend or next,,, my stupid question is do all the wheels need to go back on the same axles??? That they came off,,,,,, just wondering if the sensors in the wheels need to be in a specific position??,,, or will any work on either corner ??? also do they have batteries in them 🤣,, and if so what type and should I change them 🤷🏻‍♂️🤣

Good afternoon peeps,, had my glow plug light flashing for a while and management light on P2563 ?? coming home work I’d not noticed that it must have gone into limp mode as I was just trundling in traffic for about 20 mins. When I go nearer home so traffic not as heavy I put my foot down and NOTHING no umph,,, looked under bonnet and couldn’t hear any noises like leaking air,, but I did notice that my turbo had no whirring noise 😢,,, took my lad to work Saturday morning and it was all ok barring glow plug and management still coming on,,, im going to try replacing both the vacuum pump things turbo boost egr control valve and pressure converter and see if that helps. then I may try Mr Muscle in the turbo and see if that can just shift any carbon,,, just need to see if there’s a pipe that can be removed to squirt it in from or if I need to remove the exhaust to gain access
  20. That could be a possibility mate as I don’t think the exhaust is leaking it sounds ok is there a way to tell if the DPF is knackered?? and that’s why it seems like 2 weeks max before this happens again ?? Will have a look but it does sound ok. No blowing etc

Evening peeps,, been driving around and had the window down and I’m pretty sure I can smell exhaust fumes ??,,, I’ve replaced the inlet manifold but that was a few months ago,, cleaned throttle housing and EGR as they were well caked in soot,, could it be that one of these has got a leak they were all re fitted with new seal,, is there a way to check if one is leaking,, would soapy water sprayed on possibly find out. thanks peeps. oh the other thing is that it seems like every 2 weeks the revs stay at 1000 rpm and the engine really smells it’s been suggested that it’s trying to regenerate but the light has never come on to indicate this. If I take it for a quick 20 mile at 60-70 it’s stops this for a bit then it does it again. 2010 CECA engine VRS
  22. I’m having the same problem but mine is from cold and stops when warm,, no loss of power also. But I do have EML on but that’s for boost control position sensor P2563,,,, I did have a key and fob coded to the car and the lad did read codes and one for O2 sensor was there but my cheap reader don’t pick that one up. I’m thinking of changing sensor and see if that helps

  25. Morning again peeps Every so often when I turn ignition on my car pings,,,, there’s no lights on and everything goes out when started. The dials always do a full sweep also is that right too thanks peeps
